Space folded around my body. The next instant, I appeared directly behind her.

The black ocean was between us, but it no longer mattered.

I had already crossed it.

Viserys’s black eyes widened slightly as she sensed my arrival.

I didn’t give her time to turn.

Both of my palms thrust forward.

"Absolute Art..."

The space surrounding us began collapsing.

"...Boundless Collapse."

Reality fractured everywhere around her.

The air around Viserys cracked into countless geometric fractures as the space surrounding her and the enormous black ocean began collapsing inward. The Soul Sanctuary itself trembled as dimensional structures were forcibly crushed together.

Viserys’s body was caught within the collapsing space.

The ground beneath her exploded.

Her body was violently driven downward as though an entire world had been dropped upon her.

BOOM!

The impact created a gigantic crater.

The black ocean behind her distorted violently, portions of it collapsing into the same fractured space before being thrown outward in enormous waves.

I didn’t even look toward the crater.

One of the black humanoid guardians appeared several dozen meters away, still engaged in the battle.

I turned toward it.

My fist tightened.

"Absolute Art..."

Soul Force compressed around my arm until the surrounding space began trembling.

"...Absolute Destruction."

I stepped forward and punched. My fist struck the black guardian directly in the back.

There was no dramatic explosion. The force simply passed through it.

The enormous humanoid figure froze.

A crack appeared across its body.

Then another.

The entire hundred-foot construct shattered from the point of impact, its massive body collapsing into countless streams of black liquid that lost their shape before evaporating into Soul Force.

I didn’t stop after the first one.

The instant the black construct dissolved, I turned toward the remaining three. Before they could react, I vanished from where I stood and reappeared beside the nearest one. My fist drove into its chest with Absolute Destruction, and the enormous body folded inward as though an invisible force had crushed its entire existence from the inside. Black liquid erupted from the impact point before the construct disintegrated completely.

I was already moving toward the second.

My next punch struck its abdomen, and the hundred-foot giant barely had time to raise its sword before the force of the attack tore through its body. The weapon shattered first, followed by the construct itself, which broke apart into countless streams of black liquid that were immediately swallowed by the surrounding darkness.

The third tried to retreat toward the floating ocean.

It never made it.

I appeared directly above it and drove my fist downward. The construct was smashed into the ground with such force that the earth beneath it collapsed, and when the dust cleared, there was nothing left except a spreading pool of black liquid that slowly dissolved into the air.

Then I heard her voice.

"How dare you."

The words echoed across the battlefield.

I turned.

Viserys was floating above the crater created by my earlier attack. Dust drifted around her black gown, yet there wasn’t a single visible wound upon her body. Her long black hair moved gently around her face, and those completely black eyes were no longer carrying the faint amusement I had seen earlier.

She was angry.

Viserys slowly raised her right hand toward the sky. The enormous black ocean began to churn.

At first, the surface merely rippled.

Then it began rotating.

The entire ocean twisted violently, forming a colossal whirlpool that seemed to extend beyond the boundaries of the dimension itself. Something was rising from its depths.

I felt my expression change.

A black shape emerged.

It kept rising.

And rising.

Until eventually I realized that what I had mistaken for a shape was actually a hand.

A gigantic hand emerged from the ocean, its fingers stretching toward the heavens as though some primordial existence was reaching out from beneath the surface of the world. The palm alone was so enormous that Kaelra’s colossal dragon form would have been no larger than a fingernail beside it.

But the size wasn’t what made my blood run cold.

Faces covered it, millions of them.

They were embedded within the black substance, their features distorted and blurred as though their identities had been drowned within the darkness. Men, women and beings from countless races stared outward with eyes stretched wide in terror. Their mouths opened repeatedly, and although there was no physical source for the sound, their screams echoed throughout the dimension.

The cries entered my mind directly. Pain, despair, hatred, fear. Millions of souls screaming at once.

Viserys looked up at the enormous hand with an expression of cold satisfaction before her gaze returned to us.

A quiet chuckle escaped her.

"Enough of this."

Her raised hand remained suspended for another moment.

Then her smile widened.

"It is time you learned what it means to face me seriously."

She brought her hand downward. The gigantic black hand followed.

The heavens seemed to collapse.

"Attack!"

Kaelra’s enormous dragon manifestation opened all three mouths simultaneously, unleashing a combined torrent of silver-white flames directly toward the descending palm. The three streams merged into a single beam that struck the hand with enough force to turn the surrounding air into a raging inferno.

Gerald reacted at the same time.

His multicolored dimensional rifts expanded across the battlefield before rapidly connecting with one another. A vast spatial barrier formed between us and the descending hand, but this was no ordinary shield. Gerald manipulated the distance itself, forcing the space between us and the palm to expand by millions of times.

The enormous hand continued descending. Yet the distance it needed to cross became effectively endless.

The Elven King drew his bow.

An arrow formed between his fingers, its shaft covered in ancient green runes and its tip radiating the authority of life itself.

He released it.

The arrow crossed the distorted distance and struck the black palm. The moment it pierced the surface, countless roots erupted from the impact point and spread rapidly across the hand, wrapping around its fingers and wrist in an attempt to bind the enormous manifestation.

Evelyn raised both hands.

Her Frozen World responded instantly.

Ice spread across the black hand from every direction, covering the fingers, palm and wrist in layers of crystalline frost. Enormous glaciers formed around it, trying to freeze the entire manifestation before it could reach us.

Sue and Dream acted together.

The giant golden clock behind Sue began rotating violently while Dream extended both hands toward the descending palm. Their temporal authorities intertwined, and the flow of time around the hand slowed to an almost imperceptible crawl.

For the first time, the hand visibly stopped.

Gerald’s spatial barrier continued stretching the distance.

The Elven King’s roots tightened.

Evelyn’s ice climbed higher.

Sue and Dream’s temporal authority locked the palm within an increasingly stagnant flow of time.

Kaelra’s flames continued burning through the black substance.

I stepped forward. My eyes remained fixed upon the center of the enormous palm.
