My Ultimate OP System: Summoning All Dragons, Gods, Heroes & Villains
Chapter 301: Extraordinary (Bonus)"The lowest entry point is SS-rank talent," Eduardo continued. "If you reawaken at SS, you become Grand Class, yes... but you’re sitting at the very bottom of that ceiling. You’re still beyond anything below Grand Class, but within it, you’re the weakest tier."
He paused briefly, then went on.
"Above that are the second tier, SSS rank talents. Same reawakening process, but on a different level compared to an SS. People at that level are a genuine problem for anyone beneath them. Including other Grand Class."
"And finally, the last tier are those whose talents are ranked Extraordinary—Ex for short," he continued. "I remember seeing an article back in the day, where the then President of the DSB said that anyone ranked Extraordinary was so classified because no known world system could properly measure the extent of their power."
Ethan’s eyes narrowed a bit on hearing that.
But Wilson suddenly spoke. "But we’ve heard of people who were born with the SS talent, not reawakened... where do they fall? Are they automatically Grand Class?"
Eduardo shook his head immediately "No, that’s different. Those people are just high-tiered. Strong, yes, but they don’t have the distinct feature that comes with reawakening."
"Take for instance, One who reawakens as a Grand Class caster with the SS talent gains total control of a distinct magic element. That’s the difference."
"Hm.." Wilson muttered, giving a thoughtful nod as Eduardo continued.
"But an SS talent caster who doesn’t reawaken? They’re just above the rest. To even stand against the lowest tier Grand Class, they’d need to learn the right Tier 7 spells."
"And Tier 7 spells aren’t exactly lying around."
Percival gave a low whistle. "So the Grand Class wins by default."
Eduardo nodded. "Exactly."
Percival smirked slightly. "So where do you fall in all that?"
Eduardo shrugged. "In truth... I’m probably a second tier Grand Class. At least, that’s my assumption. I’ve never really bothered to re-evaluate it."
Then Ethan asked, "What about Lady Audrey, you’ve encountered her before, do you know where she falls?"
He asked the questions because that was what bothered him most. He wanted to know just how powerful their opponent truly was.
Eduardo gave the question some thought. "In truth, Master Ethan, it was barely a proper encounter to truly determine anything... I can only attest to the skill difference between us both."
"The power to manipulate time is not easily dealt with.." then he raised his clenched right hand, "and most of what I got are these fists"
Almost everyone either laughed a bit or smiled at Eduardo’s joke.
Ethan’s smile slowly receded as he then asked, "so how do we then know when anyone is ranked Ex?"
Eduardo quickly answered, "There are no reliable accounts of what that ceiling actually looks like, except one... the only known Ex rank"
"Reinhard."
He looked forward slightly.
"The man who killed a dragon."
Isabella’s eyes lit with recognition. "Oh... the Dragon Slayer Reinhard."
Eduardo glanced at her, a little surprised. "You know about him, Princess?"
She nodded. "We visited our grandfather a lot as kids before he passed. He told us a lot about Reinhard, and on the day he was buried, the Dragon Slayer came."
Eduardo let out a breath, almost nostalgic. "I remember back when I was a teenager, the first time he came into Gritnia to see the former King. Every news outlet covered it."
He paused. "At the time, he was already a Sword Saint. And till today... he’s still the strongest one."
Sabers who reawakened were called Sword Saints.
At that point, Ethan’s arcphone buzzed in his hand. He glanced down at it to see a message from an unknown contact.
His expression shifted slightly as he read it. But when he saw that it was a summons to meet with the king, he nodded.
Ethan realized the king had finally agreed to the method of communication he had suggested a few days earlier, rather than relying on servants or formal messengers carrying lettered invitations.
——
About thirty minutes later...
Ethan and Bella were in his car, heading for the Palace
"I’ve been thinking." He began.
Bella turned her attention to him.
Ethan, who was the one driving, then glanced at her. "When all of this is over, we should get married."
Bella froze for half a second, eyes widening in surprise. Then slowly, she smiled and nodded.
Ethan smiled back and returned his focus to the road.

At The Hidden House...
Merlin stood over a certain lifeless body, with his hand stretched over it and casting a spell from a blue colored magic circle.
The thing on the slab was human in shape, but unfinished in presence. Its naked skin was smooth, with no hair or marks. Not even a Dick...Yet
Merlin had not looked up when the door opened, but Alistair stepped in with a stern expression.
"What are you doing?" He asked
Merlin glanced back, calm as ever. "This is called a hollow. It an artificially made human body."
"The base components are my Blood and Semen, then a few spells." A faint smile tugged at his lips. "All that’s left now is to see if it can hold a soul."
Alista’s gaze dropped to it again, looking very much disgusted. "What’s the need for this?"
Merlin straightened, stretching both arms outward, as though presenting the entire thing. "I am a mage, Alistair, Do I need a reason to test the limits of my capabilities?"
Alistair stared at him for a moment. In his bonded thoughts with Merlin, all he could see was that his summon was merely fulfilling one of its maddening curiosities.
Due to the presumed strength and reliability of the bond between summoner and summon, Alistair could not bring himself to believe otherwise; especially not the idea that Merlin intended to transfer his own soul into this body.
However, he said, "You’ve been unable to find Andrea for days, but this is what you’re doing?"
Merlin didn’t respond.
"From now on," Alistair continued. "you stop this. And you don’t come back to it until my sister is found."
Merlin’s smile returned, but obediently. He gave a slight bow. As you command... my summoner."
Alistair didn’t linger on it. "Come with me. Lady Audrey will need a spell soon." He turned toward the door. "We’re finally making a move against my father."
He walked out and Merlin followed behind.
But just before he crossed the threshold, he paused and moved his eyes back to the body on the slab.
Then smiled and left.
