Chapter 353 - 352: Beyond the Eastern Profound Domain

"Oh? Quickly, show him in," Luo Shicheng said loudly, a smile touching his lips as he heard Wen Qingye’s name.

’Him?’

Upon hearing Wen Qingye’s name, Nangong Xin fumed. Wen Qingye had dominated everyone at the Qinglan Platform, his reputation soaring as he seized the 173rd spot on the Cyan Cloud List. This had caused her, who was previously ranked at the very bottom, to lose her position entirely.

The Cyan Cloud List didn’t just represent strength; it represented potential. It was a ranking that countless young prodigies of the Eastern Profound Domain dreamed of being on. How could Nangong Xin not resent him for it?

The others in the crowd frowned at the mention of Wen Qingye’s name. While it was true his name had been spreading far and wide lately, they all scoffed internally. ’Just a minor Registered Disciple,’ they thought, ’nothing more than an attention-seeking clown.’

"The Qinglan Platform? If I’d gone, a ninety-nine-win streak would’ve been no problem," Yanm Chongwen of Chaotian Peak scoffed.

Wangg Xin nodded. "But of course. A place like the Qinglan Platform is beneath people like us from the Upper Sects. I really don’t see what that Wen Qingye has to be so smug about."

Seeing everyone’s reactions, Luo Shicheng could only shake his head with a wry smile.

A short while later, an attendant led Wen Qingye in.

He had a refined appearance, with sharp eyes and striking brows. While not a peerless beauty, he was certainly easy on the eyes. More importantly, he exuded a tranquil, graceful aura that calmed the hearts of those around him.

Luo Shicheng quickly stood. "You must be Young Master Wen. Please, come take a seat."

Wen Qingye nodded. He had arrived late, and all the low tables were already occupied. Luo Shicheng had another table arranged at the very end of the row, but Wen Qingye naturally didn’t care about such formalities.

Nangong Xin sneered. "Hmph. A low-class person gets a low-class seat."

As Wen Qingye walked past Nangong Xin, he overheard her comment. He stopped abruptly, his eyes locking onto her. "Oh? And who might you be referring to?" he asked.

SHING!

A sharp light shot from Wen Qingye’s eyes. Nangong Xin suddenly felt the world spin and her vision went black. It was as if she were being stared down by a beast from the Primordial Chaos; her heart filled with utter despair and terror.

"Pathetic."

With a faint smile, Wen Qingye continued on to his seat.

’So strong!’

Everyone cried out silently in their hearts.

Only then did Nangong Xin snap out of it. In the span of just a few breaths, her robes were soaked in sweat, clinging to her skin and revealing a hint of its fairness.

"Wen Qingye!" Humiliated and flustered, Nangong Xin quickly pulled out a cloak to cover herself.

Wul Hua’s brow furrowed as he watched Wen Qingye. He had just seen a flicker of dazzling light as Wen Qingye’s palm moved and couldn’t help but gasp. ’Could it be a Magical Artifact that can attack the Primordial Spirit?’

It wasn’t just him; the experts from the other Glazed Ancient Country families, the masters from the various peaks of the Celestial Profound Sect, and the members of the Luo Family all began to look at Wen Qingye with a new sense of apprehension.

Luo Shicheng stood up, smiling. "Alright, allow me to repeat what I was just saying."

"...As for the exact time three days from now, I’m not entirely sure. It could be during the day, or it could be at night. In any case, I must ask for your patience over the next few days."

"Think nothing of it."

Everyone rose and cupped their fists in response.

.......

Afterward, Luo Shicheng had his people arrange rooms for all the guests.

"Junior Brother Wen, that was an impressive move!" A voice called out just as Wen Qingye was about to head to his room.

Wen Qingye turned to see Tao Liuu of Forget-Life Peak, though he didn’t recognize the man.

"Oh, my name is Tao Liuu, a Core Disciple of Forget-Life Peak," Tao Liuu explained upon seeing Wen Qingye’s expression. He then continued with a laugh, "Hahaha, Junior Brother Wen may not know me, but I’ve admired you by reputation for a long time now."

Wen Qingye was taken aback. "Why is that? I didn’t think my reputation was so widespread."

"No, no, no," Tao Liuu said, quickly waving his hands. "You’re a huge celebrity on our Forget-Life Peak! Senior Sister Yum tells everyone she meets, ’Wen Qingye and Zhou Yue are my saviors. If you ever run into them, you must repay them properly.’ Now tell me, how could we disciples of Forget-Life Peak dare to disobey her?"

As he said this, Tao Liuu gave a wry smile. "You have no idea about Senior Sister Yum’s status and position on our Forget-Life Peak."

Wen Qingye couldn’t help but smile, thinking of the cute and lively Yum Baobao. He never expected she’d be so influential on Forget-Life Peak.

Tao Liuu clapped Wen Qingye on the shoulder and roared with laughter. "Hahaha, but brother, that Primordial Spirit attack on Nangong Xin was a real treat to watch! So satisfying! That Nangong Xin has been getting cozy with Chu Bufan from Chaotian Peak lately, trying to ride his coattails. Thinking she can do whatever she wants in the Celestial Profound Sect... what a fool’s dream."

Ever since Wen Qingye left Purple Bamboo Peak, Nangong Xin had been a frequent visitor to Chaotian Peak. Her intentions were as plain as day. As for how everyone had arrived so quickly, it was thanks to the Celestial Profound Sect’s Spiritual Beasts and Flying Creatures. They enabled people to leave half a month after Wen Qingye and still arrive several days before him.

Tao Liuu had taken a liking to Wen Qingye, so he struck up a conversation.

"By the way, Brother Tao, have you ever heard of a Sect called Wuyou Palace?" Wen Qingye asked, suddenly thinking of the woman in black.

"Wuyou Palace?" Hearing the name, Tao Liuu’s mind raced for a moment before he shook his head. "Never heard of it. The Eastern Profound Domain has dozens of Super Sects, hundreds of major Sects, and countless smaller ones. If the Wuyou Palace you’re talking about isn’t a minor Sect, then it’s probably not from our Eastern Profound Domain."

"Not a Sect from the Eastern Profound Domain?"

"That’s right. For instance, the reason no one from the Sword Sect came to contend for the Great Wilderness Ancient Stele is that several Super Sects in the Southern Sea Region discovered a Secret Realm left behind by a powerful expert. Most of their disciples have gone there."

Wen Qingye asked, "Oh? So there are many other powers surrounding the Eastern Profound Domain?"

"Of course! And quite a few, at that. Many are even stronger than our Celestial Profound Sect," Tao Liuu said. "Only Taiyi Pavilion seems to have dealings with those sects. Our Celestial Profound Sect borders the Northwest Desert, so we only have connections with a few Super Sects in the Desert North. As for the Super Sects beyond the Demon Prison Sea near Taiyi Pavilion, or the ones on the Southern Island near the Sword Sect... we at the Celestial Profound Sect keep to ourselves, and they do the same. We don’t meddle in each other’s affairs."

Wen Qingye nodded. ’So there are quite a few powers surrounding the Eastern Profound Domain. The south borders the islands, which are rich in cultivation resources. The Sects there must be extremely powerful, not necessarily any weaker than those in the Eastern Profound Domain.’

’Then there’s Taiyi Pavilion, which borders the Demon Prison Sea. Beyond the sea must be a whole other world, home to Sects with deep ties to Taiyi Pavilion and formidable strength of their own.’

’Meanwhile, the Celestial Profound Sect is near the Desert North, a vast ocean of yellow sand with only a handful of Sects. The Thousand Nether Valley is isolated, while Baoling Temple and the Daoist School of Non-action have formed an alliance. That leaves the Celestial Profound Sect looking rather isolated and without support.’
