Myriad Dragon Divine Sovereign

Chapter 355 - 354: Meeting Again

The longer Tu Bai fought, the more alarmed he became. It was the first time in his life he had ever met someone who could suppress him in a direct exchange of techniques. Not even when sparring with his own master had he ever been in a situation like this.

His body suddenly spun, the giant saber circling him once. Howling Primordial Qi vibrated ceaselessly as the massive blade, fueled by his tyrannical aura, reached its apex.

BANG!

Wen Qingye’s hair whipped about in the gale, but his body remained as still as a statue. The sword in his hand seemed to become impossibly heavy, blocking the descending saber like a colossal mountain.

However, the immense force sent him crashing through a wall amid a shower of flying debris, and he staggered to regain his footing.

Tu Bai’s expression changed as well. He retreated several steps, panting heavily. But then, the saber in his hand began to dance, the heavy blade seeming to spit out countless saber auras in an instant.

SHING SHING SHING SHING SHING SHING...

Within the sky-filling barrage of saber auras, Tu Bai’s figure was hidden. He was like a dormant dragon, lying in wait behind the cold glints of light, ready to deliver a fatal blow to Wen Qingye.

Suddenly, a golden ray from Wen Qingye’s sword pierced the heavens. Its sharp aura felt as if it could puncture a person’s heart.

"First Form of the Sword Emperor Technique! Proud Sword!"

As the sword light flared, Tu Bai felt his heart clench violently.

BOOM!

The sword light and saber auras crashed into each other, creating a deafening tremor. Both of their figures were swallowed by the swirling Primordial Qi.

After a long moment, the dust and smoke dissipated, and their two figures slowly reappeared under the moonlight.

Just then, countless crystalline white petals, beautiful and enchanting, began to drift down from the sky.

’Pear Blossom Rain... Sima Feng?’ Wen Qingye’s eyes narrowed as he watched a pear blossom land on his One Thought Sword and split in two.

"What tyrannical Saber Technique, and what piercing Swordsmanship."

A clear voice called out from the distance. A man in black was seen treading on the pear blossoms, slowly floating over.

Seeing the Pear Blossom Rain in the sky, Tu Bai couldn’t help but exclaim, "Sima Feng?"

"Mad Blade Tu Bai, peerless genius of the Dilan Ancient Country, ranked fifty-third on the Cyan Cloud List. Truly impressive," Sima Feng said with a light chuckle, a chillingly sinister smile touching his handsome face.

"This is not good. Are you two planning to team up?" Tu Bai said with a frown.

Wen Qingye looked at Sima Feng, feeling puzzled. ’What are these two up to?’ Then, something suddenly clicked in his mind, and he understood.

"Are you two here to stop me?" Wen Qingye’s eyes sharpened as he looked at Sima Feng and Tu Bai.

Sima Feng made no attempt to hide it. "I accepted thirty thousand Top-Grade Primordial Stones from Li Xingyun of Nebula Hall to do my best to obstruct any masters from the Celestial Profound Sect."

"Me too, but I’m repaying a favor to Ding Youx from the Chaotic Heaven Ancient Country," Tu Bai said, hoisting his giant saber and laughing heartily. "So it turns out we’re the ones teaming up."

Wen Qingye tightened his grip on his sword and said softly, "So, you both intend to stop me?"

"That won’t be necessary. I alone am enough," Tu Bai said, shaking his head.

Sima Feng shook his head and smiled. "With me as backup, you’re not getting away today."

"Is that so?"

Just then, a cold voice rang in their ears.

The three of them shuddered.

They all turned to look down the dark street, where a man with a cold expression, holding a long spear, was walking toward them step by step out of the shadows.

The man looked at Wen Qingye and couldn’t help but smile. "Long time no see."

"Long time no see," Wen Qingye replied with a smile of his own.

The two were reunited under the liquid moonlight. Time had flowed on, and though things had changed, the people remained the same.

WHOOSH!

"How about you leave this Sima Feng to me?" Luu Fangliang said, extending his hand and pointing the tip of his spear directly at Sima Feng.

"Alright," Wen Qingye agreed without a moment’s hesitation.

"You’re Luu Fangliang?" Sima Feng frowned upon seeing the spear in Luu Fangliang’s hand.

Luu Fangliang’s cold eyes were utterly devoid of expression. "That’s right," he stated icily.

Sima Feng pondered for a moment before saying, "One move. We’ll decide victory and defeat in a single move. How about it?"

"Fine." Luu Fangliang nodded apathetically.

Tu Bai watched the two and shook his head. "In that case, I see no need for us to fight. If Luu Fangliang wins, I won’t stop you."

He knew that if Sima Feng left, he would be no match for the other two combined.

Without another word, Luu Fangliang tightened his grip on his long spear. In an instant, a blizzard of snowflakes materialized and surged toward Sima Feng. These snowflakes were formed from condensed Spear Qi; each one was compressed from an immense amount of Primordial Qi. If they were to detonate, they could easily pierce through one’s Protective Primordial Qi.

HUMMM!

Luu Fangliang had made the first move.

The Bright Silver Spear in his hand vibrated, emitting a sound like the roar of a tiger and the cry of a dragon, as an icy aura radiated from his body.

CRACKLE! POP!

The snowflakes were blasted apart, creating a series of faint pops.

The tip of the spear was hidden among the countless snowflakes, its position shifting between real and illusory, making it impossible to track.

Sima Feng never expected that Luu Fangliang, a cultivator at the Yin-Yang Realm Eighth Layer Heaven, would possess such masterful Spear Skill. The usual playful smirk vanished from his face, replaced by an extremely solemn expression.

SHK!

With a flick of his sleeves, a flash of cyan light shot from Sima Feng’s hand, stabbing swiftly into the flurry of snow.

"Cyan Peak Stab!"

The cyan light, radiating a cold glint, pierced through the snowflakes in the air. Standing in the distance, Wen Qingye finally got a clear look at the source of the cyan light in Sima Feng’s hand.

It was a dark green dagger, and it shot out from his palm with thunderous force.

Their figures crashed into each other, seemingly vanishing into the swirling snowstorm.

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

Sparks flew amidst the snowflakes.

Wen Qingye and Tu Bai could only hear a continuous, ear-piercing series of metallic clashes.

An eternity seemed to pass, and yet it felt like only an instant.

The snowflakes and the cyan aura gradually vanished.

Their figures slowly came into view. Both men wore calm expressions, showing no hint of change.

"We’ll call this move a draw. Farewell," Sima Feng said with a wicked smile. His body floated up, and his black-robed figure vanished into the inky-black, moonlit night in a flash.

Wen Qingye’s eyes were like lightning; he noticed that as Sima Feng leaped away, his body gave a slight, almost imperceptible tremble.

"In that case, I should be going too. Wen Qingye of the Celestial Profound Sect, we shall fight again another day." Tu Bai shouldered his saber, gave Wen Qingye one last deep look, and disappeared into the dark street.

CLANG!

After Tu Bai’s figure had vanished, Luu Fangliang suddenly plunged the tip of his spear into the ground, gasping for breath.

Luu Fangliang said slowly, "That Sima Feng is as formidable as they say. I almost lost just now."

"Here, pills." Wen Qingye tossed a bottle of pills to Luu Fangliang.

Without even looking to see what kind of pills Wen Qingye had given him, Luu Fangliang tipped them directly into his mouth.

"The way I see it, there are plenty of others coveting the Luo Family’s Heart-Seeking Seed. Experts from all over have probably already made their way there. You should hurry. I need to find a place to refine these pills," Luu Fangliang analyzed carefully after swallowing the medicine.

Wen Qingye considered this for a moment, then nodded. "Alright. You go find a place to refine the pills."

He had indeed heard the sounds of fighting coming from the direction of the Luo Family estate. He knew he had to get back there immediately.

Luu Fangliang smiled and nodded. "I’ll come find you after my injuries have healed."

"Good. I wonder if we’ll get to fight side-by-side again."

"Of course we will."

"Hahahaha!"

"Haha!"

The moonlight was as captivating as water, and the sound of their laughter echoed for a long, long time.
