Myriad Dragon Divine Sovereign

Chapter 455 - 466: Cold Ice Sword Technique

"Alright. I’m here, so you can rest easy," the Ice Python said, its forked tongue flicking out.

Wen Qingye nodded, then sat down cross-legged. He took out the six remaining Profound Pearls and floated them in front of his chest.

The Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi in the room began to fluctuate violently. Immediately, powerful, multicolored streams of Primordial Qi surged toward Wen Qingye from all directions.

At the same time, the nearby Profound Pearls began to tremble violently. Innumerable strands of Primordial Qi Essence transformed into fine threads and rushed toward Wen Qingye’s Qi Sea.

His Qi Sea was like an abyss, beginning to endlessly absorb the vigorous Primordial Qi.

The two Qi Seas slowly converged, and a faint hint of alignment appeared between them.

BOOM!

A world-shaking tremor ran through his body. The two Qi Seas were like two mountains crashing wildly against each other, yet a subtle connection faintly existed between them.

The Primordial Qi surged like a tide. The entire room filled with an incredibly dense concentration of it, and a faint white mist began to drift through the air.

It was a natural breakthrough. The pure joy and satisfaction of this advancement, untainted by any external force, flooded every inch of Wen Qingye’s being. His very bones and blood seemed to cheer silently. His muscles and skeleton, once nearly saturated, began to greedily absorb the Primordial Qi inside him. Seizing this perfect opportunity, his already tough meridians grew even more resilient.

But at the same time, the immense surge of Primordial Qi tore the fissures in Wen Qingye’s meridians even wider. Excruciating pain wracked his entire body.

Several double-hours passed. All the white mist in the room poured into Wen Qingye’s body. When the very last wisp entered him, the room returned to its previous calm.

On the bed, Wen Qingye’s eyes were shut tight. His chest did not rise or fall, his arms were still, and his breathing was so faint as to be inaudible. If not for the slight warmth his body still emanated, anyone would have mistaken him for a lifeless corpse.

The silence lasted for a moment before it was broken by Wen Qingye expelling a turbid breath. His eyelids trembled slightly as he slowly opened them. A piercing glint of light flashed within his pupils, as dark as the night sky, and before this brilliant flash, the lamplight in the room seemed to dim considerably.

The glint in his eyes lasted but a moment before fading completely. Wen Qingye slowly rose to his feet, his body standing as straight as a spear. A sharp, imposing aura swept out from him.

Wen Qingye spread his arms and gave a slight shake. His entire skeleton seemed to come alive, emitting a series of crisp pops as the bones shifted against each other. Laced within these sounds was the faint, deep rumble of thunder—a strange and deafening phenomenon.

Fourth Heaven of Destruction Realm!

Feeling the abundant power within him, Wen Qingye began to throw punch after punch. The whistling sound of his fists tearing through the air echoed throughout the room. With his current strength, even a simple, ordinary Fist Technique carried a formidable momentum when he performed it.

Wen Qingye thought, ’The fissures in my meridians are getting wider. It’s obviously impossible to repair them completely in a short amount of time. It looks like I’ll have to find some Heavenly and Earthly Treasures to stabilize them.’

Sensing the explosive surge in Wen Qingye’s power, the Ice Python slowly floated over. It flicked its forked tongue, releasing a frosty breath that caused the temperature of the entire room to gradually drop.

"That Sect Leader of Feiyun Dock, Zhang Wen, came by earlier. I scared him off with a burst of Primordial Qi," the Ice Python said slowly.

Wen Qingye glanced at the sky outside and realized it was already noon the next day. He nodded and said, "Alright. I’ll go and meet with him now."

With that, he walked out of the room. The Ice Python naturally slithered onto Wen Qingye’s finger, transforming into a small, delicate ring.

Zhang Wen, who had apparently been waiting outside for a long time, saw Wen Qingye emerge and quickly said, "You’re finally out!"

Zhang Wen was inwardly shocked as he looked at Wen Qingy. ’His aura has grown stronger again. As expected of a disciple from *that* Sect. His talent is truly astounding.’

Wen Qingye replied politely, "My apologies. My cultivation took longer than expected."

"Not at all, not at all!" Zhang Wen said, waving his hand dismissively. "I’ll take you to the Ten Thousand Void Tower now. My men and I have searched it countless times and come up with nothing. Perhaps you’ll have better luck."

With that, Zhang Wen began to lead the way. The two of them walked toward the tallest and most magnificent structure in Feiyun Dock: the Ten Thousand Void Tower.

"How much time is left until their deadline?" Wen Qingye asked casually.

Zhang Wen sighed heavily. "Not long. The deadline is tomorrow."

Wen Qingye nodded and asked no more questions. After tomorrow, the enemy would reveal themselves.

By this time, the two of them had arrived at the Ten thousand Void Tower.

A massive tower loomed before them, soaring so high it seemed to pierce the sky. This was particularly remarkable given that the terrain here was quite low, a great distance from the clouds.

It stood in a vast, open expanse, tapering to a sharp point the higher it rose.

Zhang Wen pointed to the tower ahead. "This is the Ten Thousand Void Tower. From up there, you can see the grand vista of all of Yihai City. Aside from the Royal Maple Garden, this is the tallest structure around."

Wen Qingye nodded and walked forward.

Two Feiyun Dock disciples at the Yin Yang Realm Eighth Layer Heaven stood guard at the entrance to the Ten Thousand Void Tower. There was no one else in sight.

Zhang Wen inclined his head. "The Ten Thousand Void Tower is currently sealed off. Please, go inside. Feiyun Dock has complete trust in you."

As he spoke, Zhang Wen gestured for Wen Qingye to enter. Without hesitation, Wen Qingye strode right in.

The space before him suddenly opened up into a bright, expansive room filled with row upon row of shelves. The shelves were lined with scrolls and Bamboo Scrolls. Wen Qingye casually swept his gaze across the room with his Eye of Spirit Communication but found nothing unusual. Only then did he begin to slowly open the scrolls and Bamboo Scrolls one by one.

These scrolls and Bamboo Scrolls all contained rudimentary Martial Arts. Wen Qingye gave them a cursory glance but found nothing of particular interest.

Afterward, Wen Qingye went up to the second floor.

The layout of the Ten Thousand Void Tower’s second floor was similar to the first, though it was noticeably smaller.

Wen Qingye paid special attention to the finer details, checking for false panels, hidden compartments, and any place that might conceal a mechanism. He looked over these areas several times, but still came up with nothing.

Undiscouraged, Wen Qingye continued upward, one step at a time. The higher he climbed, the narrower the space became. There were fewer Martial Arts, but their Martial Arts Level was progressively higher.

In the blink of an eye, Wen Qingye reached the 9th Layer. The situation was much the same as on the floors below—he still hadn’t found anything. The Ten Thousand Void Tower only had ten floors in total. ’If there’s nothing on the tenth floor,’ he thought, ’then there really is no treasure to be found here.’
