DONG!
The Five Jails Seal and Bladeless collided violently. A terrifying shockwave spread out, and huge cracks splintered across the land. The destructive force was absolutely staggering.
Many of the surrounding pavilions and grand halls began to tilt.
The two oppressive auras confronted each other, frantically trying to corrode one another.
"Be suppressed!"
Xiang Jing sneered and continued to press his palm downward. As his words fell, the Five Jails Seal pressed down even more frantically.
The expressions of Zhang Wen, Qiu Xuan, and the others who were watching the battle intently changed at the sight.
SWISH! SWISH!
The next moment, a shimmering, cold light flashed before everyone's eyes. A strange Sword Aura, incomparably bizarre, emerged from Wen Qingye's left hand, shocking everyone to their core.
"Taiyi Profound Gate Sword Technique First Form, Shangqing!"
The calm voice echoed quietly in the air, seeming to carry the might of heaven and earth, shaking the hearts of all. Then, countless rays of cold light, like shimmering waves, bypassed the Five Jails Seal and rushed toward Xiang Jing.
Everyone stared, unblinking, their heads tilted up as their pupils constricted abruptly.
Xiang Jing also stared, unmoving, at what was before him. Then, the grim look on his face slowly began to stiffen.
The beams of Sword Aura had actually bypassed the Five Jails Seal and were rushing toward him. He was currently pouring all his focus into controlling the Five Jails Seal and had no time to create a Clone.
'Is that the Spiritual Softness Law?' Gu Hongxiu murmured, a hint of surprise in her eyes.
Among the Three Thousand Great Dao, some Dao Laws are interconnected, and the Spiritual Softness Law was one of the more powerful ones.
The swift Sword Aura streaked across the sky, emitting a HISSING sound. The gales gathering around it surged toward the Sword Aura, but instead of halting its advance, they only bolstered its magnificent power.
The bizarre and ever-changing Sword Aura was seared into the hearts and minds of everyone present.
The faces of nearly everyone present turned pale.
Xiang Jing's face became even paler. Seeing the Sword Aura rushing toward him, he rapidly retreated and roared, "I surrender!"
He shrieked in terror, his voice turning shrill.
But how could Wen Qingye possibly retract it now?
Countless beams of Sword Aura pierced through him, and sprays of blood blossomed in the air—beautiful and yet demonic.
As the scent of blood dispersed, a black Sumeru Mustard Seed flew out. Wen Qingye's eyes and hands were quick; he snatched it and placed it into his own Sumeru Mustard Seed.
Xiang Jing's body was sent flying backward. But in the next instant, before anyone's shock could even begin to fade, it all happened in a flash!
An aura that was utterly evil, malevolent, savage, bizarre, bloodthirsty, and cruel slammed into everyone's hearts. They felt as if the aura alone would crush them to death.
A black figure shot over from the distance, rushing toward Xiang Jing's flying body.
BANG!
The black figure charged forward mercilessly, piercing straight through Xiang Jing's body.
Blood blossomed and danced, splattering red and white across the ground. Many of the more timid onlookers were so frightened their breathing stopped, and their bodies trembled uncontrollably.
'It's that Flying Corpse!'
Wen Qingye was greatly alarmed. His brows furrowed tightly as he took several steps back.
Wan'Er's beautiful face lost all color. "Red Venerable, what in the world is that? Its aura is terrifying!"
Gu Hongxiu felt a storm raging in her heart. Although she didn't know what this new arrival was, she knew from its aura that it was no simple creature.
For a moment, the entire area fell silent—an eerie, unnatural silence.
The Flying Corpse was over nine feet tall, its face a deathly white. Its eyes glowed with a purple light, and its jet-black clothes were tattered and torn. Its hands were stained scarlet, and its sharp gaze was fixed on Wen Qingye and Gu Hongxiu. It seemed to lack some of its sanity, replaced by a thirst for blood—a thirst directed especially at Gu Hongxiu.
In that single instant, it had completely devoured all the Essence Blood in Xiang Jing's body.
Wen Qingye knew that it had just broken through to the Flying Corpse realm. Its power was extremely unstable, and it needed a massive amount of Essence Blood to stabilize its cultivation.
Moreover, its current state had likely affected its mind. A Zombie that had lost its sanity knew only slaughter, which was why Zombies were creatures that anyone could, and should, kill on sight.
'This is a Zombie… so powerful. But why is it looking at me?' Gu Hongxiu slowly recognized the Flying Corpse. When she saw its purple eyes fixed on her, she couldn't help but turn pale.
It wasn't that she was a coward; anyone would feel fear when targeted by such a terrifying creature.
Wen Qingye said coolly, "Because the Essence Blood in your body is abundant."
Among everyone present, Gu Hongxiu's cultivation was the most profound, followed by Wen Qingye, Wan'Er, and the others. Therefore, the Flying Corpse naturally targeted her.
Gu Hongxiu frowned upon hearing Wen Qingye's words.
But in the next moment, the Flying Corpse spoke.
It opened its mouth and slurred, "I… want… blood… blood."
Its voice was slow and hazy, yet it sent a chill down one's spine.
In the sky above, black thunderclouds roiled, and purple lightning rapidly converged, faintly revealing a menacing form.
Suddenly, countless streams of Primordial Qi rushed frantically toward the Flying Corpse's arm. The surging Primordial Qi instantly condensed into a black beam of light that shot toward Gu Hongxiu.
BOOM! BOOM!
The air roared as the black beam of light tore through it.
"The rest of you, fall back first," Wen Qingye said to Zhang Wen, Qiu Xuan, and the others.
Zhang Wen and the others nodded quickly. Although they didn't know what this thing was, they understood that it was incredibly dangerous. They hastily led the members of Feiyun Dock and fled into the distance.
It wasn't just them; even the surrounding spectators were now thinking of retreating.
Seeing this, Gu Hongxiu took a small step back. With a wave of her red sleeve, she drifted into the air like a red butterfly. Immediately after, countless streams of Primordial Qi poured out from her sleeve.
SHHHHHHH!
Red Powerful Qi surged continuously toward the black beam, and the two ultimate rays of light clashed violently in the air.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The instant the two streams of Primordial Qi collided, a blindingly bright light erupted, forcing Wen Qingye to narrow his stinging eyes. Immediately after, an indescribably violent shockwave swept out.
Wen Qingye and Wan'Er quickly retreated.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Countless floor tiles were shattered, and the cracks in the earth continued to spread. Although the buildings of Feiyun Dock were constructed from strange materials, they were no match for the powerful impact of the Primordial Qi. Some grand halls were directly toppled and collapsed.
Immediately after, Wen Qingye felt a red figure flying toward him at extreme speed. It was Gu Hongxiu's delicate form.
Wen Qingye felt a moment of softness before the force of the impact sent him crashing into the wall behind him.
THUD!
A thick cloud of dust filled the air, obscuring all vision.
"Red Venerable!"
Wan'Er cried out in alarm.
