Wayne was worried that if Hesione turned out to be the Anointed One, she would turn against him and Hestia and kill them both to cover up the fact that she had lost her purity; Hesione was worried that she might offend the infinite divine might and receive a punishment, stripped of the qualification to serve the Anointed One.
Hesione stood up and offered solemn advice. “Anointed One, please stop. You could say anything when we’re alone... But if you continue now, I’ll break down.”
“Not now. Break down later.”
Wayne sat down on the divine throne once more, shifting his bottom to ensure maximum contact area.
There was no response.
Frowning, he grabbed Hesione and pulled her into his arms. Immediately, the throne glowed, and the Golden Law emerged once more.
“Anointed One, this is scandalous,” Hesione whispered with a blush. “Hestia is peeking at us. I’ll kill her for your honor.”
Ignoring Hesione and her depraved imagination, Wayne let go of her and stepped aside. As he had expected, the Golden Law disappeared once more.
“Strange. Is the Anointed One a package deal?” Eyes widened, he pulled Hesione back.
After repeated testing, Hesione fell to the floor and leaned against the throne like she had been bullied, praying for forgiveness in whispers. She realized then that the Anointed One was doing this on purpose. He had to be activating the Golden Law only when she was on his lap.
“Strange. What is the problem? What is the condition...”
Wayne frowned. He tried many times and concluded that neither he nor Hesione alone could trigger the Holy Light. They had to be both in the seat. Moreover, Hesione didn’t have to be the one sitting on his lap. Wayne could sit on her, too. In fact, they didn’t even have to pile up since the throne was wide enough to fit five people. As long as he and Hesione were both in direct or indirect contact with the throne, the Holy Light would emerge.
Confused, Wayne exhausted all the possibilities and tested every scenario.
“Hestia, come here!”
“...” x2
Hestia panicked, while Hesione looked murderous.
“When I didn’t want you to sit on me, you fought to sit on me. Now that I’m telling you to sit on me, you hesitate.” Wayne waved and pulled Hestia toward him from the distance. “Come here!”
As soon as the supple, fragrant body pressed against his, Wayne felt something stir.
That something had nothing to do with the throne.
“Nothing happens...”
He moved the stunned Hestia aside, plopping her down on the throne. When no Holy Light emerged, he rose and sat on Hestia’s lap.
Again, nothing.
“This is strange. It only triggers with Hesione? Is it because Thrones aren’t qualified to sit on the throne, and only Seraphim work?”
“Should I grab a Seraph to test it? Who could I grab... Auriel?”
“Ew, maybe I’ll slap him and...”
Wayne mumbled to himself. Hesione scowled darkly and went up to him. “Anointed One, would you let Frey go? She’s seriously offending god’s dignity.”
“She’s welcome to go if she wants. Why are you asking me? I’m not—” Wayne patted on a backside unconsciously and realized how unfamiliar the bounce was. When he looked again, he found Hestia on his lap, pinned down and unable to get up.

“Strange, I suddenly lost control over my hands. Is it a side effect of the throne? What a mysterious place Heaven is.”
“Anointed One!”
“I’ve let go. She’s the one staying here.” Wayne pouted. Now it really wasn’t his fault.
Hestia leaned forward and allowed gravity to pull her to the floor. Her weak legs wouldn’t move. She stared at her Śār with tears in her eyes.
She looked weak, helpless, and pitiful, and it seemed that her tears would never run out.
Hesione seethed, reaching for the Sword of Judgment.
“What are you doing? Look where you are. Do you think this is a place for you to draw your weapon?” Wayne interrupted her curtly, beckoning her over to sit on his lap.
Hesione hesitated for a moment before relenting.
The familiar feeling returned. The divine throne once again shone with Holy Light, displaying the Golden Law to them. Wayne stood up and left Hesione on the chair. Then he picked up Hestia’s boneless body and plopped her down on Hesione’s lap.
Hestia immediately stopped crying as if she had gone mute. Hesione, on the other hand, scowled so hard that it looked like she was going to slice Hestia into chips before burning her to ashes.
“Anointed One—”
“Hush. I’m thinking.”
Wayne crossed his arms, looking at the two beautiful ladies sitting on top of each other. It was a pleasant sight, but after a moment, it became clear that they couldn’t trigger the Throne. He then sat on Hestia.
It looked silly, but proof by exhaustion was pretty effective. The surging Holy Light proved that Hestia contributed nothing. She wasn’t the key.
“Still, I can’t jump to conclusions. I need another Śār...” Wayne sat by Hesione and pulled them in with an arm. Hesione ‘accidentally’ threw Hestia, who was holding onto her sleeve, to the floor. She looked down at Hestia with enough authority to make her burst into tears.
“Stop bullying Hestia. Such a loyal subordinate isn’t easy to come by. If I see you doing that to her again, I’ll take her.” Wayne held Hesione and looked for the source of the information. Figuring out that the throne was only a port, he said solemnly, “I asked you once about Elohim’s manuscript of the Sacred Tome, and you said that it was in Heaven. Do you mean this chair?”
“An-Anointed One, who are you... talking about?” Hesione asked with a trembling voice.
“Elohim, your father. Our father!” Wayne opened his eyes in surprise. “Do you not know your father’s name, Hesione?”
Hesione shook her head in panic. She hadn’t known. It was her first time hearing Father’s name.
“Um, don’t look at me like that. I was told the name by a goddess thanks to our connection. Stop imagining things, seriously. I’m telling the truth.”
Wayne tried to explain, but the Golden Law overflowing from the seat beneath him was undermining his words.
“Anointed One, are you still unwilling to admit your identity?”
Instead of saying anything, Wayne pressed a hard kiss on Hesione’s lips, scaring her into squeezing her eyes shut and pressing her lips together, her teeth chattering.
“Answer me, Hesione. Where is the manuscript?”
“...”
“Speak!”
“It’s in the eighth heaven, the Heaven of Stars, jointly kept by the Seven Sacred Virtues,” Hesione said quickly. “If you want it, I’ll fetch it right now.”
“The eighth heaven...” Wayne shook his head, looking for the source of the information with his senses. “No, it’s not the eighth heaven. Heaven... According to you, there are only nine levels to Heaven, right?”
“I’m certain that there are only nine,” Hesione said. “This is the Supreme Heaven. Father and you are beyond us. There cannot be a layer above your residence.”
Wayne nodded. “Right, so there has to be a tenth layer.”
“Anointed One, there isn’t a tenth—”
“Wanna bet?” Wayne raised an eyebrow. At the end of the day, Hesione was still a gullible woman who fell for his lies easily, so easily that he wondered if he was the one being tricked instead.
“You’re right, Anointed One. If you say there is a tenth level, there has to be.” Hesione could guess what Wayne would be betting with, so she quickly corrected herself.
“It’s too late. The bet is already on. If you lose...” Wayne looked around. “The scenery is pretty good, and the chair is wide. How about doing it here?”
Hesione wordlessly pressed her face into his shoulder, wiping her tears.
“You don’t have to be embarrassed. This chair proved that the true Anointed One is a combination of the two of us. We should be doing this!” Wayne said. Whether Hesione believed it or not, he was willing to stand by it. He felt more confident now that he had gone from a random passerby to one half of the Anointed One, and he felt assured in inheriting the Heavenly Father’s heritage.
The divine throne was proof!
“Let me see. Where is the doorway to the tenth floor?” Wayne closed his eyes and looked for the entrance. He was certain that there were a total of ten levels, and the tenth was where Elohim’s manuscript was, detailing the complete Golden Law. The Sacred Tome was the core that was connected to the throne on the ninth level and the fake manuscript on the eighth.
Well, not exactly a fake, but an abridged version.
He believed that the abridged version contained only the Seven Sacred Virtues, while the other Sacred Virtues were hidden on the tenth level. Only by acquiring the manuscript could one inherit all of Elohim’s legacy.
Moreover, Wayne had not found what he was looking for in the Heaven of Crystals. The two sacred trees, while bizarre, were completely unlike the manifestations of life and knowledge he had imagined. They were false sacred trees and would not lead to the evolution of ancient gods.
The true evolution should be a massive laboratory, and the angels were products of Elohim’s experiments, divided into nine ranks according to the results. From top to bottom, they were Seraphim, Cherubim, Thrones, Dominions, Virtues, Powers, Principalities, Archangels, and angels.
There were a total of ten levels in Heaven. The first to eighth levels were used to observe the different end products; the ninth was for resting, and the tenth was the laboratory.
“I can’t find the entrance. Strange...”
“Am I missing something?”
“Or do I have to exhaust the knowledge in the throne?”
Following a flicker of light and shadow, four humanoid figures and one irregular geometric shape appeared. Auriel took a step forward and was about to snarl when he got a clear look. It stunned him and made him go still like an electrocuted bird.
The other angels reacted similarly. Milia, Hesione’s good friend, had even become motionless.
In their eyes, Hestia lay prone on the ground like she had been broken, while Wayne had Hesione in his embrace on the divine throne. Hesione’s face was flushed, and her eyes were closed, as if she were enduring something.
