"Damn you! Don’t think you’ll succeed!!!" The Yin half of the Nine-Tails, sealed within Minato, let out a furious roar. In the original timeline, it had eventually reached an understanding with Minato. But at this point in time, the Yin Nine-Tails had not yet acknowledged Minato. The Nine-Tails was immensely powerful. Even just half of it was more than formidable enough. Minato knew this all too well. He feared Kazuki wouldn’t be able to control the situation, and if that happened, the entire Leaf Village would suffer the catastrophic consequences. Therefore, Minato hoped Kazuki would think clearly and not act recklessly.

Just as Minato waited for Kazuki’s resolute answer, Kazuki’s brow furrowed slightly. He tilted his head and asked, "Is the Nine-Tails very strong?"

Both the man and the Tailed Beast momentarily doubted their own ears, wondering if they had misheard. As for the reactions of the others? Kakashi hesitated for a moment. "Probably... maybe quite strong. For the Advisor, that should be the case." Kisame shrugged his shoulders, utterly indifferent. Shisui and Itachi didn’t even blink.

Were you all... excessively arrogant? Or had the Leaf Village undergone such earth-shattering changes after my death, Namikaze Minato, that even the Nine-Tails was no longer considered worthy of attention?

"Rest assured, Fourth Hokage. Since I dare to do this, I naturally have the confidence to subdue the Nine-Tails. Undo the seal. The sooner this ends, the sooner I can return to rest."

"..." Minato was utterly speechless. The Yin Nine-Tails sealed within him roared incessantly: "I will tear this detestable brat to shreds!!!"

"Fine. Since you’ve made your decision, I’ll dissuade you no further. I hope you won’t come to regret it." Minato said no more. He raised his hand and pressed it against his abdomen, preparing to open the seal. Kazuki raised his hand, and the surrounding Anbu operatives all withdrew.

Was the Nine-Tails strong or not? That depended on who was asking. To Kazuki, the Nine-Tails seemed... well, just so-so. To Kisame, Kakashi, and the like, the Nine-Tails was indeed terrifyingly powerful. For Shisui and Itachi, their perspective was different yet again: the Nine-Tails was strong, but not without means to counter it. Minato was already a dead man, and in an Impure World Reincarnation state at that. He had no fear of dying a second time even without the Yin Nine-Tails. Decisively, he opened the seal. As the seal was released, a pillar of dark crimson chakra shot into the sky. The Nine-Tails, sealed within Minato, burst forth, its form as massive as a small mountain. Tilting its head back, it unleashed a deafening roar.

"ROAR!!!" The massive shockwave of sound jolted the entire Leaf Village, waking countless villagers from their slumber. Hopefully, this wouldn’t cause too great a commotion. Having undone the seal, Minato frowned as he watched the rampaging Yin Nine-Tails. He knew that, having just gained its freedom, the Yin Nine-Tails was in a foul temper.

"Good God! That’s the Nine-Tails!!!"

"How is this possible?! Has the Nine-Tails broken free?!"

"Quickly, notify the Advisor! The Nine-Tails is rampaging!" The village swiftly descended into chaos. Fortunately, the Anbu immediately sprang into action. "Everyone remain calm! Return to your homes and rest! The Advisor is currently subduing the Nine-Tails! There will be no Nine-Tails rampage incident!!!"

Whenever the Nine-Tails broke free, the commotion it caused was immense – even if it was only the Yin half. Kazuki had long since made all the necessary arrangements. Do you need my help? Minato felt a wave of discomfort wracking his body, but thankfully, the sensation quickly subsided. As a dead man, he couldn’t possibly die again. Kazuki shook his head at Minato, then closed his eyes. The instant he reopened them, all Minato could see was a pair of uniquely shaped Sharingan, spinning within Kazuki’s eyes.

"Bastard! Look me in the eyes!!!"

"ROAR!!!" Although it had suffered immensely at the hands of Madara, the Nine-Tails was, by nature, fiercely proud and untamable. Unless Kazuki demonstrated absolute, overwhelming power, he could forget about suppressing it. You dare call me a bastard?! And command me to look you in the eyes?! The Yin Nine-Tails was consumed with fury. It felt deeply humiliated. It was determined to teach Kazuki a harsh lesson.

AHHH!!! What is this accursed place?! Suddenly, the Yin Nine-Tails felt its body twisting and spinning uncontrollably. When the spinning finally ceased, it had transformed from a mountain-sized colossal beast into a miniature, pint-sized Nine-Tails. And as if that weren’t bad enough, it now found itself trapped upon a table. Looking around, it was surrounded by an array of torture instruments... Oh no! Don’t tell me I’ve fallen into a trap?!

"I hear your temper isn’t the best?" Within the interrogation space, Kazuki surveyed the scene, casually picking up a spiked club.

This is bad!! The Yin Nine-Tails felt as though it had been struck by lightning. It froze completely, even though it was utterly incapable of moving anyway. "ARGHHH!!!" The next second, the Yin Nine-Tails howled in agony. It felt as though its very body was being torn apart. The pain – it was excruciating, unbearable! It had never experienced pain like this before, as if it were being ripped asunder. "Wretch!! Damned Uchiha brat! ARGHHH!!!"

"Curse you!!!"

"Ssss..."

The Nine-Tails’ will was indeed quite tenacious – at least somewhat more so than Orochimaru’s. But the moment Kazuki picked up a whip, the tormented, half-dead Yin Nine-Tails completely panicked. "Uchiha brat! What are you planning to do?!"

Holding the whip, Kazuki said expressionlessly, "When a hunter trains a dog, he disciplines the disobedient cur. I, however, am different. I like my Tailed Beasts proud and untamed. I hope you can endure for a long time. Oh, and one more thing – in this space, I can control everything about you, including your perception of pain. I can amplify it many times over. I hope you’ll enjoy it."

"I... enjoy my ass!!"

"STOP!!"

"Stop, Uchiha brat! We can sit down and discuss this properly!"

"ARGHHH!!!"

"No, no, no! Uchiha si— ahem! Great Lord Uchiha! Please, stop hitting me! We can talk this over nicely..."

Was he under the control of a genjutsu? In the real world, Minato watched as the Nine-Tails suddenly ceased all movement. Puzzled, he was about to question it when, in the very next instant, Kazuki took several steps forward. The Yin Nine-Tails – which just a second ago had been unbridled in its arrogance – was now cowering like a frightened dog, its entire massive body curled in on itself. Its nine long tails wagged furiously, exactly like a dog trying to curry favor with its master. All traces of its ferocious visage had vanished without a trace, replaced entirely by a fawning, ingratiating expression.

Witnessing this eerily familiar scene, the corner of Orochimaru’s mouth couldn’t help but twitch violently. Shisui and Itachi remained perfectly composed. In their eyes, whatever Kazuki did was entirely justified and to be expected. Kakashi opened his mouth as if to speak, but then thought better of it and stood obediently. Kisame’s eyeballs nearly popped out of their sockets.

THIS was the Nine-Tails?! Minato’s reaction was equally monumental. After being sealed, he had constantly interacted with the Yin Nine-Tails, but the beast’s temperament had always been far too violent and unapproachable. Now, seeing this... Where was the Nine-Tails?! This was clearly just a dog! Even though foxes were canine creatures too, to so thoroughly reduce a Tailed Beast to a groveling dog – wasn’t this absurd beyond belief? In just a few seconds... was it some kind of genjutsu? Minato noticed Kazuki’s Sharingan spinning. Ridiculous. Absolutely, utterly ridiculous.
