Young Naruto’s words were not without cause, because during his previous time back in the village, he had received marriage applications sent by Tayuya regarding Third Hokage and Utatane Koharu, as well as marriage applications sent by Utatane Koharu and Homura Mitokado for Orochimaru and Jiraiya.
"Isn’t this just causing trouble?"
"It’s obvious that Homura Mitokado and Utatane Koharu are a better match!"
So, Naruto rejected both applications, though he swapped them before sending them back.
Whatever happened afterward was none of his business.
After getting what he wanted, Young Naruto was kicked out by this world’s Orochimaru.
In Orochimaru’s eyes, the only difference between Young Naruto and a demon seed at this moment was that Naruto had a sunny smile.
After being kicked out, Young Naruto was not annoyed; he looked at Boruto.
"Boruto, who is your team leader?"
Not expecting his dad from another world to ask such a question, Boruto was stunned for a moment before answering, "Eh, my team leader is big brother Konohamaru."
"Tsk, Konohamaru calls me brother, and you call Konohamaru brother?"
"Uh... because big brother Konohamaru looks very young, so I just called him that..."
"Forget it. If it’s Konohamaru, there’s no need to see him. Take me to your house. Also, Sasuke, please go buy some food. I’m a bit hungry."
"Alright, I’ll come find you at Naruto’s house in a while."
Sasuke nodded. Being hungry was normal.
After gathering data at the Hokage Office and then going to Orochimaru to ask for more, it was already almost evening.
No one had gone to Hinata’s place yet, so she probably wouldn’t have prepared dinner for the Sixth Hokage and Otohime. It was time to buy some.
The three of them walked swaggeringly toward Naruto’s house. Passersby kept eyeing Young Naruto. As Hokage, he was already used to such gazes and didn’t care at all.
Some bold, cheerful young villagers or tourists even ran right up to him, asking with a mix of nervousness and excitement, "Um... excuse me, are you a special actor hired by Hokage-sama? Are you specifically playing the young Hokage-sama? Can I take a picture with you?"
Clearly, they mistook Young Naruto for an actor playing the "Young Seventh Hokage" in some kind of festival event or promotional video.
Upon hearing this, Young Naruto was slightly taken aback, then the smile on his face widened.
He said in a relaxed tone, "My name is Souma. My grandmother was from Uzushiogakure, so I’m sort of Boruto’s distant cousin. I’m here in Hidden Leaf Village to visit relatives. I’m not an actor."
"So that’s how it is! You’re Young Master Boruto’s cousin!"
The villager who asked suddenly understood and became even more enthusiastic. They successfully took a photo with "Cousin Souma" and left, feeling satisfied.
Boruto listened from the side, his mouth twitching uncontrollably again.
"Souma? Cousin?"
This guy didn’t even blink when making up lies.
"What else?"
Young Naruto keenly captured the expression on Boruto’s face. He leaned in closer to Boruto and whispered, "Do you want me to tell those enthusiastic villagers, ’Hi, I am Uzumaki Naruto from another parallel Universe, and I am the interdimensional counterpart of your Seventh Hokage’?"
He paused, looked at Boruto’s stunned face, and raised an eyebrow, "If I did that, I would most likely be treated as a lunatic who escaped from some Spiritual hospital, or simply a fraud attempting to impersonate a relative of the Hokage, and be dragged directly to the Police Force, right? By the way, who manages your Police Force now?"
"Uh..."
Boruto was left speechless by what he said. Thinking about it carefully, it seemed... that was indeed the logic.
The trouble brought by telling the truth was far greater than making up a reasonable "cousin" identity.
"I remember the captain of the Police Force is Fūma Kōtarō, right? His combat ability isn’t strong."
It was more than not strong; as the captain of the Police Force, Fūma Kōtarō’s strength was even worse than the average Genin.
Just then, the young Otohime, who had been listlessly carried by Young Naruto, suddenly twitched her nose. Her golden and silver Rinnegan lit up, and she stared straight at a street stall selling traditional Japanese snacks that wafted a sweet aroma.
"I... I want to eat that!"
Otohime struggled, pointing her small finger at the dango stall. Her voice was full of longing, completely forgetting the fear of being threatened earlier, and she didn’t care about her "Dragon Palace Princess" airs anymore.
The young form seemed to have affected her ability to control her desires, or rather, it made her closer to a real child who would be tempted by snacks.
Young Naruto glanced at her, then looked at the stall, the corners of his mouth slightly raised.
He didn’t refuse; instead, he took Otohime by the hand and walked to the stall.
"Boss, ten skewers of three-colored dango."
Young Naruto paid readily. Fortunately, the currency in the Ninja World hadn’t been reformed, otherwise he would have had to borrow money from Boruto to pay the bill.
When the three-colored dango drizzled with sweet soy sauce was handed to her, Otohime couldn’t wait to take a skewer and bit into one with a big mouthful.
The soft, chewy rice dumplings, the sweet red bean paste, and the slightly salty sauce fused in her mouth. Her beautiful golden and silver eyes instantly narrowed into crescents of happiness, and her little face showed the first truly relaxed and joyful expression since arriving in this world.
A skewer of dango was quickly finished.
"More! I want more!"
Otohime was unsatisfied. She tugged on the corner of Young Naruto’s clothes with one hand and held up the empty bamboo skewer with the other, jumping up and down and making a fuss to buy a few more. There was no trace of her previously noble and icy demeanor; she was just a gluttonous, spoiled little girl.
Young Naruto looked at Otohime, who was tugging at his clothes, tilting her little face up, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. A smile appeared on his face—a look of helplessness, yet amusement, like a big brother watching a naughty little sister.
He reached out and tapped Otohime’s forehead with his knuckles, "I’ve already bought so much, and you still want more? Be careful of getting cavities. However... considering you’ve been quite ’obedient’ today, I’ll buy you some more."
As he said this, he bought some more from the boss and handed them to Otohime, who was looking on eagerly.
Boruto watched from the side as Young Naruto held Otohime’s hand, buying her snacks like a worried older brother and telling her to eat less, while Otohime held a handful of three-colored dango, eating them in small bites while secretly glancing at the few skewers left in Young Naruto’s hand. This scene of "harmonious siblings" made him let out a deep sigh, his mood complex.
Thinking that they would be home soon and his dad would be chatting with this young dad in front of him, Boruto felt a wave of inexplicable tension and his scalp tingled.
He hoped that when they got home and his dad chatted with this dad from another dimension, this dad from another dimension wouldn’t get carried away and start talking about his own love life!
Boruto prayed frantically in his heart.
He clearly remembered the "shocking" scene he saw when he accidentally went to that dimension last time.
There seemed to be several women around the other party, and the relationships looked very subtle.
Although he didn’t fully understand the specific details due to the short time, he was deeply impressed by that strange atmosphere!
If his mom heard those things... he wondered what she would think?
Although Boruto felt that his mom probably knew about the things between his dad from the other world and Aunt Ino, Aunt Sakura, and that Aunt Karin whom he had never seen since he was a child, right?
However, knowing is one thing, but it was best not to let them talk about it again.
Boruto could almost see the "Killing Intent" faintly visible behind his mom’s gentle smile, and the scene of his dad awkwardly scratching his head and trying desperately to explain.
"Hey, Boruto, what are you spacing out for? Lead the way!"
Young Naruto’s voice interrupted Boruto’s wild thoughts, and he handed a skewer of three-colored dango to Boruto.
"I heard from Sasuke that you have a younger sister. Give these to your sister."
