Netherworld Retrograde

Chapter 1265 630: The Gathering of Champions

In that instant, all enemies of Humanity felt a chill to the bone.

Just as the Nether River had foreseen, no new Supreme had appeared—but what appeared were Champions of all generations!

They would rather have two more Supremes show up than this!

One Champion Cloak after another whipped wildly in the air, like crimson battle standards streaming in the wind.

The Chaos Demons and Nether River Venerables all sensed the incoming danger.

A peak Champion could stand toe to toe with a Supreme.

Now that the Champions of all generations had gathered, whatever Supreme came would die all the same!

Deep Red, with its twisted psyche and indescribable form, had its sharp instincts screaming a warning, driving it to flee as fast as possible.

The Corpse King, whose identity in life had been unimaginably great, felt its corpse-body instinctively brace itself in alarm.

The All Living Beings Echo, ever hungry to devour countless powerhouses and evolve to perfection, actually let go of its greed for the first time.

The Beastman Leader kept roaring again and again, yet could not twist this bizarre reality that lay before its eyes.

And the Chaos Projections, even as they pursued, were on extreme alert.

If not for the order from the Emperor's Fall Chosen One, they might really have teamed up with the Nether River to deal with this Champion all-star team!

They too were enemies of Humanity, and the arrival of the Champions spelled danger for them as well.

Especially the Blood Feather Prince of the Blood God Faction; he stared at the rapidly approaching figure.

He stared at that familiar yet strange combination of Big Hammer and scythe.

"The First..."

Blood Feather could not believe that he could still see the First Generation Champion.

That was this world's very first Blood God Champion Divine Chosen.

The Divine Chosen of the Blood God Faction were selected in two ways.

The first: an individual displays sufficient power and valor,

thus winning the Blood God's favor, offering up sacrifices through a Chaos Ritual to become a Divine Chosen.

The second: throw countless powerhouses into a chaotic Battlefield, and by a gu-raising style of slaughter, refine out the mightiest warrior!

With every kill they would receive the Blood God's gifts, inheriting the fallen's blessing.

And when the final warrior walked out of the Battlefield, that one would be the Champion Divine Chosen!

Back then, it was this Human who carved his way out of tens of thousands of powerhouses, slaying countless fanatical Believers, Chaos Demons, Forbidden Zone Creatures, and even corrupted Human powerhouses. With absolute might, he earned the Blood God's grace and bestowed name.

The Blood God generously granted him the bestowed name "Emperor's Fall."

It was one of the highest bestowed names within the Blood God Faction; the Blood God hoped he would slay the Emperor.

In the end, this bastard rejected the Blood God's blessing and rebelled on the spot.

He instead became a Human Champion.

In the Blood Feather Prince's eyes, this was a blasphemous and idiotic choice!

Especially after learning that upon advancing to Supreme, one would be devoured by fate.

He felt even more that Emperor's Fall didn't know what was good for him. They should have been comrades, waging eternal slaughter and war upon the Bloody Wilderness. Instead he chose a dead end!

And at this moment, the Champion squad had already exploded into motion, their Blood Evil Energy surging like a flood.

Countless wails rose with the Corpse Mountain Blood Sea, manifesting before the eyes of all enemies of their enemies.

Those were all enemies of Humanity who had died at the Champions' hands, now turned into a heaven-shaking tide of Evil Qi sweeping across the Battlefield!

Then, with a roar, it crashed down into the Nether River and surged upstream!

"Quick! Fall back to reinforce!" the Netherworld Venerable bellowed.

With nine generations of Champions gathered, even though there were four Supremes stationed in the Netherworld, they still felt extreme unease.

This kind of lineup really might be able to bore through the Nether River and destroy the Netherworld.

They had to gather all their strength to rush back to the Netherworld!

Abandon those Chaos Demon Projections; their sacrifices couldn't sustain them for much longer anyway.

From the point to the Netherworld was still several hundred kilometers, with endless stretches of the Nether River and the Dead in between.

That was enough to Block the Champions for a moment, allowing the Nether River Venerables to return to defend, and by the way wipe out that troublesome batch of Humans—the Four Gods' Choice and the Fear Avatar.

However, the Netherworld seemed to have forgotten something.

The Seventh Generation Champion could split the void with her sword! The moment she entered this space, she had already seized control of the entire Battlefield!

If "Shang" hadn't appeared back then in Fear Demon form, she would have carved through the Disaster Fog that year and might even have advanced to Supreme!

"You'd better hope that thing dares come over," the Seventh Generation Champion sneered.

"If it comes, all the better. It had better pray it can face all of us at once!" The Fourth Generation Champion grinned. "If it comes, it's this (thumbs up). If we let it run, we're this (thumb turned down)."

In that instant, the Iron Sword in the Seventh Generation Champion's hand swept across, and a stable spatial rift unfolded.

And before the three Nether River Venerables, a spatial rift appeared at the same time.

The encirclement happened in a single instant!

The First Generation Champion's crimson Big Hammer slammed straight into the Corpse King's chest, scarlet patterns spreading out.

The Corpse King's vaunted flesh was invaded by an ultimate, overwhelming conviction, and its defensive power plummeted.

The Sixth Generation Champion's arm, wreathed in eerie black mist, reached out; within the mist, the silhouettes of a sea of Extraordinary Creatures and Forbidden Zone Creatures flickered into view.

Then, he simply tore the Corpse King's arm clean off.

The crisp voice of the Third Generation Champion rang out—"Silence"—and Deep Red's indescribable psychic corruption was suppressed by another unknowable force.

The Seventh Generation Champion split the void with a single sword, then cut seventy-two times in a row, every strike landing on Deep Red.

The All Living Beings Echo (sub-body) unfolded its so-called perfect defense. Having absorbed a massive number of Human Spiritual Ability Users, it possessed defensive methods specifically against Humans.

Yet it was smashed head-on by the Eighth Generation Champion; even though it managed to block it, every bone in its body howled in agony.

The Fourth Generation Champion, meanwhile, instantly analyzed its so-called perfect defense, slashed open its eye, and severed its scorpion tail, rendering its defense no longer perfect.

In that instant, the three Nether River Venerables were all heavily wounded.

And the Chaos Projections were full of shock and doubt, terrified that the Champions would go completely berserk and wipe them out along the way.
