Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven
Chapter 660: Absurd SituationGrey opened his mouth, intending to correct her.
However, before he could speak, Eterna’s voice suddenly entered his mind telepathically.
’It’s fine, Grey. I will just return to the Information Layer. Don’t worry about it.’
Hearing her words, Grey simply closed his mouth and nodded.
"Thank you, Seraphina. The room is perfect."
Seraphina smiled warmly before leaving them alone.
Once the door closed behind her, Eterna’s physical form gradually began to fade.
"I’ll be nearby if you need me," she said. "Call me anytime."
"Got it," Grey replied.
Then, Eterna’s body completely disappeared, returning to her natural state within the Information Layer.
Grey looked around the now-empty room for a moment before entering his Lesser Heaven space. Inside the vast inner dimension, he immediately checked the power he had gained from absorbing the Lesser Heaven earlier.
He now had one additional charge of World Breaking Source Power available to him.
Grey looked at the power stored within his Lesser Heaven, his expression gradually becoming thoughtful.
For now, he had no intention of using it.
He would only leave Hell after finding the thing the Abyssal Lord had sent his general here to retrieve.
After confirming that he still possessed the World Breaking Source Power, Grey turned his attention toward something far more important.
For now, the most important thing he needed to do was create his own Nexus World.
However, before attempting something like that, he needed to better understand the path taken by Nexus Pathstriders when they reached the 9th Rank.
And to experiment with that process, he needed a clone.
Luckily, his Buddha Mode allowed him to create a lesser version of himself because the clone essentially functioned as an empty vessel.
Grey took a portion of his power and transformed it into a 9th Rank being, imparting all the knowledge, abilities, and experience he possessed at that cultivation level into the clone.
Then, he immediately began experimenting.
The key to creating an Inner World was to possess something unique that the beings within the Inner World could follow and develop for themselves.
However, there was also a certain threshold that needed to be crossed.
That was precisely what Grey wanted to test.
He guided the clone through the process of developing its own unique power.
With Grey’s assistance, the clone developed a unique interpretation of perfection, using the Summit of Nexus as its foundation.
It was a fire-related power, a variation of flames that carried the essence of aetheric perfection within every spark.
Grey watched carefully as the clone began attempting to form an Inner World.
Energy gradually gathered around the clone’s core, swirling and condensing as the surrounding space trembled slightly.
Then, it happened.
The Inner World formation process initiated successfully and space-time continuum begin forming.
Grey stared at the result with wide eyes.
"What?"
The threshold was this low with the Summit of Nexus?
How was that even possible?
All the clone had done was create a completely new power, a simple fire-related ability developed with the help of the Summit of Nexus.
And yet, it had actually managed to cross the threshold and initiate the formation of an Inner World.
It shouldn’t have been this easy.
Grey frowned deeply as he processed what he had just witnessed.
Something wasn’t adding up.
He had expected the threshold for creating an Inner World to be far higher.
After all, creating your own unique interpretation of an already existing power was incredibly difficult.
Yet his clone had barely needed to do anything.
It had simply created a unique interpretation of fire and perfection.
And that alone had been enough.
Grey’s expression gradually became serious.
There was definitely something he didn’t understand about the Summit of Nexus.
Then, another thought suddenly appeared in his mind.
"What if..."
Grey looked at the clone standing before him.
The clone had already crossed the threshold.
It was now forming an Inner World.
But if this was truly all it took...
Then perhaps Grey had been approaching the creation of his Nexus World from the wrong direction.
Grey’s eyes narrowed.
"Interesting."
For the first time since deciding to create his Nexus World, he finally felt like he had discovered the beginning of an answer.
But at the same time, an even greater question had appeared.
Why was the threshold so low?
Why was it that all it took was creating a literal variation of fire to form an Inner World?
Grey’s eyes narrowed as another thought entered his mind.
He had to test this with the Dao side of his 9th Rank.
Immediately after reaching that conclusion, Grey took another portion of Buddha Mode’s power and created a completely new clone.
This time, however, he did not use the Summit of Nexus.
Instead, he had the clone follow the Dao side of the 9th Rank.
Grey decided to use the Dao of Fire.
The Dao of Fire already existed within the endless reality, but Grey had ever come into contact with it because Grey had never been particularly interested in fire.
Still, it was perfect for the experiment.
Grey guided the new clone through the same process, allowing it to comprehend the Dao of Fire and create its own technique.
Soon, the clone formed a technique similar to the one created by the Summit of Nexus clone.
Grey watched carefully.
He waited for the energy around the clone’s core to react.
Nothing happened.
There was no Inner World formation.
In fact, there wasn’t even the slightest stir of power.
Grey’s lips abruptly twitched.
"What the heck is this?"
He couldn’t understand it at all.
The difference between the two results was simply too absurd.
The Summit of Nexus clone had barely created a unique fire-related ability, yet it had immediately crossed the threshold for Inner World formation.
However, the Dao clone had achieved something similar and produced absolutely nothing.
Forgetting about forming an Inner World, it couldn’t even cause the slightest reaction.
Grey stared at the two clones with a strange expression.
Then, his confusion gradually turned into disbelief.
But this was incredible.
Until now, he had believed the exact opposite.
He had always assumed that the Dao side of his 9th Rank would have an easier time reaching the 10th Rank, while the Summit of Nexus would struggle because of the extreme requirements involved in creating something related to perfection.
However, after obtaining the ability to form an Inner World from the Old Era and finally conducting this experiment, the truth had been revealed.
The Dao side of the 9th Rank would have a far more difficult time reaching the 10th Rank than the Summit of Nexus side.
Grey couldn’t fully understand it.
"Is it because the Summit of Nexus is the place of perfection?"
He fell into deep thought.
"Do the rules bend around it and allow my Pathstriders to reach the 10th Rank?"
It was most definitely a possibility.
But regardless of the reason, Grey was naturally overjoyed.
To think things would turn out this way had far exceeded his expectations.
With this discovery, there was only one thing left for him to do.
Refine the Nexus World.
As for why his Pathstriders could reach the 10th Rank so easily, he would figure that out later.
However, he already knew that the answer most likely had something to do with the Summit of Nexus itself.
Then, Grey turned his attention toward the process of creating the Nexus World.
During the creation of the Prime World, the Prime Pathstriders had utilized several other powers to assist with its formation.
Among them were powers with immense fate, chaos, and origin energy.
These powers had been used to amplify the Nexus World’s creation.
And more importantly, this method of creation was necessary if the Inner World was to become truly battle-ready.
If Origin Power, Chaos Power, and Fate Power were used to amplify the Inner World, the generation of World Force would become far more stable.
Then, as the Inner World continued developing, it could eventually reach the Continuum State.
At that stage, the Inner World itself would become capable of powering its creator.
However, Fate Power was even more crucial.
Grey’s expression gradually became serious as he recalled what he had learned from the knowledge of the Old Era.
Fate Power wasn’t merely one of the components required to strengthen an Inner World.
It was, in fact, the most fundamental part of its creation.
