While the discussion about the sudden appearance of a dungeon inside the territory of Avalon became a hot topic, the dungeon being discussed has become such a boost for players of all levels for the territory. The newbies that arrive in the territory now have a place where they can grind levels and no longer need to leave the territory where level 100 monsters roam just outside. Even high-level players are also challenging the dungeon because of the incentive given by Adrian.
The Daemos Elders believed that they can use the dungeon as training grounds for the Daemos Corps but they need to verify it first. This is the reason why Adrian placed a generous reward to those that conquer the Extreme difficulty and even territory points for the other difficulties. The influx of players did good to the economy of Avalon and circulated even more money that ever.
Another thing that changed is that dishes using goat, chicken, Capricorn, and Cockatrice meat are now hot items in Avalon. The Hollow Tree Dungeon has good drop rates for these that numerous dishes are born in Avalon using them. The prized Cockatrice Egg that even goes for one gold a piece is even hailed as the best egg in the world and is now available in Avalon. It seems that the first clear reward for the Easy difficulty gave them plenty but the real drop rate of it was actually only 1%.
"Huh? The elders are calling me when it has only been a few hours since we opened the dungeon to the public. Did something else happen?" Adrian muttered as he did not think that they will call for him.
Seeing that the elders are looking for him urgently, Adrian stopped what he was doing and went to Gamma Island. Gamma Island is where the cultivation of herbs is in Avalon and is the lifeblood of the territory. Herbs and plants that cannot easily grow are nurtured here which makes more than half of the island restricted to the public. They can accept herb collecting quests here for some small experience and gold which was the way some newbies get money before the Hollow Tree Dungeon existed.
"Why did you call for me? I thought that we should only seal off the areas where the dungeons are expected to sprout." Adrian stated as he is now in front of the area where the dungeon in Gamma Island is being formed.
"The others have already discussed this and we planned to inform you of it. We noticed that the dungeon is actually very profitable. The territory actually earned five gold coins per hour because of it." Elder Ascalor stated as the territory is actually only earning enough to get by and is mostly being kept afloat because the Pantheon Guild gives lots of its resources to the territory.
"You have seen the effectiveness of the dungeon and called me here to create another one." Adrian stated as he already knows what the elders came up with.
Adrian might not have been told but the Daemos elders are actually quite poor in a sense of money because they do not need it. Old Man Pann is actually the riches among them but almost half of his earnings are used to keep his farm afloat. In the end, the Daemos, that is said to be so powerful that they can manipulate time and space, are basically poor. The Daemos Elders do not even have pocket money to spend on what they want as they only spend on the necessities.
"I thought that we do not need the love for money and all that because that would mean we will be too attached to the material world." Adrian stated as this was one of the sayings that Elder Ascalor often said to him early on.
"That is only when the we were recluse and did not show ourselves to the world. Now that we are in a proper territory in the main world, we need money as our kind is not the only one living in Avalon." Elder Ascalor stated as he already found the excuse that he needs.
"Fine. I already planned to create the dungeon after a day anyways. I am just glad that I would not need to sneak into the islands and say that I accidentally created another dungeon." Adrian stated which made all of the elders look at him.
"Is it because of what you sister said earlier?" Levin Cloud stated as he also came with Adrian to the place where the dungeon is forming as Elder Danaya called for him.
"That sister? You mean that vampire? I do remember that she is very good with money." Elder Ascalor added.
Earlier when Adrian was settling about the tasks he needed to do for the territory and guild, he suddenly felt a chill on his spine and saw his own sister running towards him like a madwoman. He looked like he would be trampled on which is why he also ran. The two of them ran around the guild home like a comedy show but the other guild members just ignored it.
When Adrian was caught as he was not really trying to run away for real, Solstice immediately berated him for not telling her about the dungeon. She was upset that she knew when others also got the information about it. In the end, she hurried to Avalon to verify the dungeon with her eyes and hurriedly found Adrian.
She grumbled that she could have found ways to make the dungeon a profit and such. Even though Adrian already told him that the dungeon as stimulating the economy already, Solstice told him that was not enough. She was already having a difficult time balancing the books of the territory as they were not really profiting and dungeon could have changed all that. In the end, she had to make Adrian confess of the overall situation.
The eyes of someone that has always earned a lot of money and even successfully could not be stopped. Adrian gave every information he knows as he would be tortured by his own sister if she gets it from someone else. In the end, Solstice only stopped the interrogation when she learned that Adrian can just create more dungeons as there are other spots in the other islands. He had to promise her to make the next dungeon in either Gamma Island or Delta Island based on the hypothesis that they drop items depending on the island’s history.
"As expected of Solstice! She also thinks of the welfare of the territory! Then again, that Erebian brat is living in one of the islands and is very much a food wormhole. He was one of the reasons why the food expenses became bigger. He looks like a child but has the stomach of a mammoth." Elder Ascalor stated as he was referring to the Erebian True Ancestor.
"You just wanted more money for spending." Elder Koronn stated.
"If someone did not burn money for always doing research then we would have more spending money." Elder Ascalor stated as both of them started a pitiful old man fist fight with one another.
Adrian just ignored them and looked at the fluctuating energy space. The dungeon in Gamma Island could be seen to have been forming in a place where the herbs do not grow. It is located in a small rocky creek where there is mostly moss. It seems that the dungeon location will pop up where there are signs of having a ley line.
"Can you see it clearly? I can only feel that the area is different." Adrian asked Levin Cloud since he is the one that can directly see a ley line clearly.
"Is this the spot where the dungeon is forming? It is actually a ley line that is connected to the world. It is actually quite interesting how a ley line can occur on a floating island as this is the first time that I have seen it this close." Levin Cloud replied which finally gave Adrian an idea on how the dungeon gate forms.
"Let us get this over with. I would need a few hours rest every time I create one." Adrian stated as he did not touch the energy fluctuation this time since Paradox told him another method.
Adrian’s body somewhat shifted partially as parts of his body became that of chaos energy. He then sent chaos energy directly into the fluctuating spatial gate and it absorbed it like a hungry monster. Adrian’s chaos energy reserves almost became depleted before the dungeon actually stopped devouring it. Only when he was left with 20% did the fluctuating energy gate stabilized and the dungeon gate started to fully form.
