One Piece: Getting Stronger by Writing a Diary

Chapter 555 - 716 – Tashigi Is Somewhat Embarrassed

The other members of the Flame Blade Pirates looked at Ain, but none of them chose to say much.

However, Ain could see a few things in their eyes that only diary-copy holders like them would understand.

That was right. These crew members of the Flame Blade Pirates had expectations for her.

"If I fail, then I really will have let everyone down."

Ain muttered to herself inwardly, then firmly said to the other members of the Flame Blade Pirates:

"Please trust me, everyone. I definitely won't let anything bad happen."

Naturally, by "anything bad," she meant Hina using the Navigation Diary copy to inform Gion, Kujaku, Doll, and the others, who also possessed copies of the diary, that they were heading to Enies Lobby.

Although Hina's Navigation Diary copy could only be operated by Hina herself, and she had a great deal of freedom when operating it, as long as Hina used her copy of the Navigation Diary, the other copy holders would be able to see Arton's own invisible Navigation Diary.

In fact, even without looking with their naked eyes, holders of the Navigation Diary copy could sense it through Observation Haki and see it the same way.

Under those circumstances, Ain did not think she would miss what was happening on Hina's side.

If she did miss it, she would be far too sorry for the power Arton had helped her improve.

"We believe in you!"

When Ain heard everyone's words, a bright smile appeared on her face.

"Then we'll just carry out one small operation."

"Do you need to make it sound so solemn?"

Arton crossed his arms and swept a doubtful gaze over Ain, Nami, Nojiko, and the others.

"Hehe."

The girls all giggled.

There was nothing they could do. After all, they could not tell him anything related to the Navigation Diary copies.

At times like this, all they could do was respond to Arton with smiles.

"So strange." Arton shook his head. "Anyway, I'll leave the ship to you. I'll just take Ain there and back."

Although the Flame Blade Pirates' ship was no longer far from the Gates of Justice, Arton felt that with the abilities of Nami, Nojiko, Carina, and the others, they would definitely be able to prevent the pirate ship from being discovered.

"With us here, you can relax."

Nami confidently patted her chest and watched Ain walk over to Arton.

Then Arton wrapped an arm around Ain's waist, and with one powerful step, he shot off the deck of the pirate ship.

In the blink of an eye, Arton had already appeared several hundred meters away.

"Let's go."

Nami clapped her hands together and looked at Tashigi and the others behind her.

"Tell me, do you think Hina will join us this time?"

Nojiko rested one hand on her cheek and said, "That's hard to say. After all, she didn't join us last time."

"What do you think, Tashigi?" Uta asked.

Out of everyone present, Tashigi was the one who understood Hina the best.

Perhaps, at a time like this, only Tashigi could answer everyone's question.

Aside from Uta, the others also thought of that point and looked toward Tashigi one after another, hoping she would give them an answer.

"Well…" Tashigi pushed up her glasses and asked curiously, "Are you all hoping Miss Hina will join us?"

"I don't really mind either way, but you should really hope she joins us, right, Tashigi?"

The corners of Nami's mouth lifted as she looked at Tashigi with interest.

"Ahaha."

Tashigi laughed awkwardly.

Just as Nami said, she really did hope Hina would be able to join the Flame Blade Pirates.

However, Tashigi was not certain whether Hina would be willing to join them after Arton rescued her.

...

After witnessing the World Nobles' evil deeds back then, Hina had not chosen to join Arton's pirate crew.

At the time, Tashigi had realized there were many differences between herself and Hina.

At the very least, Hina was not the kind of person who could not tolerate any impurity in her eyes.

In Hina's view of justice, she allowed herself to see certain bad things.

Tashigi did not think there was anything wrong with Hina being like that.

After all, everyone's justice was different.

And Hina herself would never do anything bad.

Strictly speaking, Hina had actually been very conflicted when facing the World Nobles' cruelty.

She simply lacked the power to change anything.

As for Hina, Tashigi did feel quite a lot of fondness for her.

If possible, Tashigi naturally hoped Hina could join their new big family.

However, if she was asked whether Hina would join the Flame Blade Pirates afterward, Tashigi truly had no way to be sure.

"All right, no joking around."

Carina shrugged and looked in the direction Arton had left.

"From my own perspective, I don't want Hina to join us."

"After all, if that woman joins us, the time we spend with Arton will decrease again."

"That said, I still hope Hina can join us. After all, Captain personally made a trip for her."

The fact that Arton was willing to personally make a trip for Hina was enough to show that Arton still cared quite a bit about Hina.

As someone who had already placed all her thoughts on Arton, Carina naturally hoped everything Arton wanted in his heart would come true.

She hoped Hina would be willing to join the Flame Blade Pirates after seeing the help Arton gave her.

Even if Hina would definitely take up some of Arton's time after joining.

"So, I'll bet that Hina joins us."

Carina said to Nami.

"Hmph. Since you're betting that, then don't I have no choice but to bet she won't?"

Nami crossed her arms and pouted.

"What, do you also think that woman Hina will choose to join us?"

Carina looked at Nami and could not help raising her eyebrows with a smile.

"It's not that I think that. I'm just hoping she'll join us."

Nami spoke.
