The next morning, at dawn.

"The sun's starting to rise. Did you sleep well, Captain?"

Noticing the sunlight, Raki turned to glance at the window before speaking to Arton.

"You were pressed right against me. Do you really think I could sleep, Raki?"

"If I had actually fallen asleep, wouldn't you have thought I was disrespecting you?"

Arton replied with a smile.

"That's true. As expected, I'd rather you didn't fall asleep, Captain."

Raki smiled and carefully cleaned the thing in front of her.

Afterward, she slowly stood and asked Arton curiously,

"Someone should be coming to relieve us next, right? You don't need to keep watch from the lookout."

"Why don't you go back to your room and catch up on some sleep?"

Arton shook his head with a smile.

"It doesn't matter if I skip a night of sleep. Even before meeting all of you, I was already someone who enjoyed staying up late."

"After becoming stronger, staying up all night barely affects my body at all."

Nami, Hina, and the other voyage diary holders knew even more. The Marines and World Government personnel who possessed copies of the diary were also watching Arton.

Under those circumstances, they needed to carry out his orders with absolute determination.

Otherwise, the voyage diary holders might discover them.

"Um... since we've already reached Water 7, can we leave now?"

Jabra had quietly climbed down from the lookout with Fukurou and Kumadori. He looked at Arton with hopeful anticipation.

Jabra did not know where Kaku, Lucci, or Kalifa were currently located.

That was not surprising. Spandam had directly issued their undercover orders.

Since the mission involved the Ancient Weapons, Spandam naturally would not have revealed the details to Jabra and the others.

Even though Jabra and Rob Lucci were fairly close companions, Lucci would never casually disclose the mission he was carrying out, much less its location.

All Jabra could do was hope he would get lucky and manage to find Lucci and the others.

Ideally, he would locate Lucci before his own situation was exposed.

That way, neither side would have to fight.

If he only found Lucci after everything had already come to light, the World Government might have issued orders for Lucci to capture Jabra and the others.

Under those circumstances, Jabra felt it would be better not to meet him at all.

Although he believed Lucci still felt some camaraderie toward them, he could not be certain Lucci would disobey the World Government's orders and refuse to arrest them.

"You look extremely worried."

Arton's voice suddenly sounded beside Jabra, startling him awake.

"Huh? You saw through me?"

Jabra scratched his head awkwardly.

"I don't know what you're worried about, but I have no intention of truly killing you."

"As long as you behave honestly, perhaps I can even take you to meet Rob Lucci and the others."

Arton spoke.

"Huh? You'll take me to meet Rob Lucci and the others?"

"Wait—how do you know about them?"

Jabra exclaimed in surprise.

Rob Lucci and the others were carrying out a top-secret mission. How could Arton know anything about them?

Could Arton have someone inside the World Government?

Or was he actually an agent of the World Government himself?

Jabra had never been particularly clever, and after Arton's words, his thoughts became even more tangled.

In the end, he could only shake his head and throw away the complicated ideas before they made him dizzy.
