The truth is simple.

Humans are the weakest. Even if human cultivators are bullied, they must swallow their anger.

If you strike back and cause a death, the blame will fall on you, a human. Anyone can cloak their punishment in the name of justice.

"You say your name is 'All-Knowing'?"

"Yeah. I suppose you've heard of my reputation? Haha, let's call this a misunderstanding today. I will let bygones be bygones."

Those words grated on your ears, so you slapped his right cheek until his face looked like a pig's.

"Is that your name, or a title?"

All-Knowing's face swelled high on one side, his teeth knocked out in clumps, his speech slurred and leaking.

"A title, a title. My given name is Ben’erbo..."

"Heh, I won't claim to know people outside Blazing Star, but as long as it's on Blazing Star, there's no one I don't know, no affair I'm unaware of! I, All-Knowing, have lived four hundred years and made friends across the land. Which faction doesn't have my connections? Of course, the humans are not among them. You humans are trash, unworthy of my notice."

This guy had once again fallen into the same instinctive alien prejudice against humans, so you slapped him again.

This time you swelled the other side of his face, turning him completely into a pig head.

"If you want to stay alive, keep your mouth clean!"

"I-I didn't say anything dirty..."

You were frankly exasperated. These aliens had come to take contempt and disdain for humans as a given.

How could they not think that the cenotaph they were fighting over—the female Celestial Emperor's cenotaph—belonged to a human?

You pressed your foot down a little harder, and All-Knowing grimaced in pain.

"Promise me one thing and I won't kill you today."

Around you, cultivators who weren't scrambling for the Celestial Emperor's cenotaph were busy fleeing for their lives.

All-Knowing knew he had been victimized; no one could help him.

But he still had one idea.

"Hmph! You humans think I can be easily used?"

You said, amused.

"Then what?"

"I also have a golden escape technique!"

Your guard went up, recalling that fellow who used core escape.

All-Knowing opened his storage pouch and poured out a pile of Source Stones.

"Take this money! Spare my life!"

So it was money after all.

You grabbed his entire storage pouch in one motion.

All-Knowing wore an expression that said, "You have no honor."

"Be my guide and I won't kill you!"

"Deal!"

The man agreed promptly.

You climbed onto the Yellow Thunder Bird and flew, leaving All-Knowing to chase on the ground.

"Hey, human brother! Can't you return my lightning pig? I'm tired running like this!"

"This is punishment for your malicious assault!"

"Brother, that's not fair. At most I only tried to hurt someone!"

All-Knowing was a crafty one.

Seeing you fly off, he deliberately claimed he couldn't keep up to create distance, then bolted.

A short while later, when he saw you blocking his way, he smiled.

"Brother, the wind's strong up there, your mouth must be dry. I'm worried about you, thirsty! Hey, look, I'm going to fetch water!"

You slapped him so hard he spun like a top.

All-Knowing's pig-like face swelled even more.

After several attempts to run and realizing he couldn't escape your Five Finger Mountain, All-Knowing accepted his fate.

Just then, a bolt of lightning split the distant sky, and by terrible coincidence it struck you.

You were on the Yellow Thunder Bird and had no time to dodge; the lightning struck both you and the bird.

All-Knowing looked over, shrugged, and realized you had been caught in fallout from a fight ahead.

He laughed heartily.

"Karma! Karma! Hahaha!

Should've returned my pig! Should've slapped me in the big face!

I'm All-Knowing, after all, a man of some standing. Do you know how much psychological damage a big slap does to me? You even slapped me four times!

Fortunately nobody noticed...

Heaven has eyes, hahaha!"

All-Knowing was in high spirits until he turned and saw you, your face all blackened with an explosion-like hairdo, standing and staring at him.

His smile vanished instantly. Pretending not to see you, he turned back toward the direction of the lightning strike and flopped on the ground, crying loudly.

"Brother! You died so miserably..."

"Why aren't you laughing? Don't you like to laugh?"

"How could you be like this! My good brother was struck dead by lightning. I'm heartbroken!"

"Who the hell is your good brother! Be a proper guide and answer my questions!"

You leapt forward and slapped All-Knowing again until he spun like a top.

That lightning strike had been fierce.

Your mount, the Yellow Thunder Bird you had bought for fifty Source Stones, had been turned into a mysteriously roasted chicken on the spot.

You tore off a burnt wing through tears and, with sad drool, ate it.

Your body was blackened too, but not seriously injured.

That blow was not fatal.

It came from several alien experts fighting ahead.

Their attacks were a hundred times weaker against you, plus it was just battle aftereffects, so it couldn't kill you.

Your "Wolverine" trait healed immediately.

With your mount gone, you and All-Knowing had to proceed on foot.

The center of the fighting among masters on Blazing Star was a small town swaying in the wind and sand.

"What is this place called?"

"Xuan Nu Town."

"Any story behind that name?"

"Of course. There's a temple here to Tianhuo Xuan Nu. It's the only such temple on the whole Blazing Star."

"Are Celestial Emperor temples really that rare?"

"Celestial Emperors were mighty, but they lived so long ago. Apart from scholars who study ancient texts, who knows?"

"Why wasn't the cenotaph discovered here before? If this female Celestial Emperor left anything behind, wouldn't this be the most suspicious place?"

"I don't know for sure, but from what I've learned, I suspect the Celestial Emperor's remaining power probably had a sealing effect that closed the cenotaph, preventing outsiders from finding it. Like I said, the Celestial Emperors' era is ancient. Even the greatest beings can't resist the erosion of time, especially the dead. I suppose the Celestial Emperor's power gradually dissipated until the seal weakened and could no longer completely hide it, and then people discovered it."

There were people fighting in the sky. You saw some with wings, some with divine marks under their feet, some riding artifacts, and some using spells.

None seemed to be directly flying by will; you wondered what cultivation level one needed in the Real Realm to freely fly.

There were also fights on the ground, with gestures shaking mountains and splitting the earth. The borderland town had been utterly devastated, turned into ruins.

You could faintly make out a few objects being passed and snatched among the alien experts.

They were like basketball players divided into several teams, fighting over a handful of basketballs.
