While the rest of Team Four returned to their base to rest and take care of Levia, Qasim remained with Aurora.

The two were now sitting inside a clean white room. In front of him stood a large table covered with all kinds of strange objects.

Animal parts.

Plants.

Glowing crystals.

Pieces of metal.

Liquids of different colors.

And many other things Qasim couldn’t even recognize.

Aurora spoke with her usual calm voice.

"Before we begin, do you know why there are so many power systems?"

Qasim realized he had never actually thought about that question before.

He simply shook his head.

"Well Qasim, it’s because of compatibility."

"You see, Alchemy is the very first power path to ever exist, created by ancient humans in the First Century, but back when it was the only power system, many people couldn’t reach their true potential."

Aurora narrow her eyes with a mocking smile on her face.

"Maybe they couldn’t memorize the countless ingredients. Maybe their bodies couldn’t withstand the effects of certain potions. Or maybe... they simply weren’t talented enough."

"In that situation, most people would just give up."

Then she turned her smile into a gentle smile.

"But truly unique individuals realized that the path simply wasn’t made for them."

"So they create a new one."

She folded her hands together.

"Before we continue, I hate to disappoint you, but you can’t simply walk every path."

Qasim nodded.

"Yes."

"He said mastering all Mohlikat isn’t practical because each one has its own trials."

Aurora then gently pointed toward the table.

Aurora shows off her slender arm muscles before laughing.

"It’s about creating supernatural things."

She picked up an old sword hanging on the wall.

"Anyone wounded by it would continue burning until nothing but ashes remained."

She carefully returned the sword to its place before taking a simple gold coin from her pocket.

Qasim’s eyes sparkled.

Aurora continued.

"For this experiment, we’ll need four ingredients."

"Water from the deep sea."

"Chameleon skin."

She raised the coin.

She then asked Qasim to search through the crowded table.

The task proved much harder than expected.

The only things he managed to find were the water and Aurora’s coin.

She simply chuckled before helping him with the rest.

Using equipment similar to a distillation setup, they isolated only the useful substances from each ingredient before mixing them together.

They submerged the gold coin inside the mixture and gently heated it.

Aurora smiled.
