Qasim remained silent until they left Beria.

Only then did he look toward Yasmin.

"...What do you think we should do?"

Yasmin kept walking.

"We report."

"Then?"

"We’ll see."

...

Back at Team Four’s base...

Valen quietly listened as the two explained everything.

He rested his chin on his hand and fell into deep thought.

The room stayed silent for almost a full minute.

Finally...

"We need more information."

Qasim tilted his head.

"From where?"

"Other criminal organizations."

"Terrorist groups."

"Underground networks."

"They’ll know more than the police."

Qasim looked confused.

"...Why don’t we just ask Black Seed?"

Valen smiled bitterly.

"I wish it were that easy."

"Black Seed isn’t an information organization."

"Our job is to complete missions."

"We do have records about power systems and plenty of old documents."

"But current events?"

He slowly shook his head.

"Very little."

"And right now we don’t have enough evidence to officially request support."

Qasim frowned.

"...That’s stupid."

"It is."

Valen shrugged.

"But rules are rules."

"If we want help..."

"We need something solid first."

Silence returned.

Then...

Yasmin suddenly spoke.

"...I know a place."

Valen looked at her.

For just a moment...

A trace of sadness appeared in his eyes.

"...Are you sure you want to go back there?"

Yasmin answered with a simple nod.

She turned around and walked toward the exit.

Qasim hurried after her.

...

After walking for quite a while...

He finally couldn’t hold himself back anymore.

"Where are we going?"

Without slowing down...

Yasmin answered.

"Group of assassins called Shadows."

"Part of their job is gathering information about everyone and anything."

Qasim blinked.

...

After some time, the two arrived in another city.

Yasmin led him through several narrow streets before stopping in front of an old wooden house.

Knock.

A frail old woman opened the door.

She looked at Yasmin for a few seconds.

"...What are you doing here, young girl?"

Yasmin answered without hesitation.

"Red Code 002"

The old woman’s expression immediately changed.

She silently stepped aside.

"...Basement."

The two entered.

Qasim followed Yasmin down a narrow staircase.

The basement was dimly lit.

At the center of the room...

Someone sat cross-legged on the floor.

A long cloak covered their entire body.

A strange mask hid their face.

Even their voice...

Sounded impossible to identify.

Neither male, nor female.

"...Well..."

"If it isn’t the little bird."

Yasmin calmly sat across from the figure.

"What happened to Alpha?"

A soft chuckle echoed through the room.

"And what does the little bird offer in return?"

Without saying a word...

Yasmin placed a purple coin on the floor.

The masked figure glanced toward Qasim.

"...I count two visitors."

Yasmin placed a second coin beside the first.

The figure slowly picked them up.

"...Much better."

They leaned back slightly.

"Our old friends in Alpha..."

"Were approached by someone."

"They were offered a choice."

"Serve..."

"Or disappear."

"They chose pride."

"They chose to fight."

A brief silence followed.

"...Within three days..."

"Nearly eighty percent of their members were dead."

"...Who attacked them?"

The figure laughed quietly.

"Oh, little bird..."

"If you think you can stop what’s coming..."

"You’re mistaken."

Yasmin’s voice remained cold.

"I asked Who?"

The laughter stopped.

"...Someone calls himself...The Savior."

The room became silent.

Now it’s confirmed that the leader of Alpha group was telling the truth.

Yasmin asked another question.

"Who is he?"

"We don’t know."

"And even if we did..."

"The price would be much higher."

She didn’t insist.

"...Where did it happen?"

"Iron Gate City."

"When?"

The masked figure smiled beneath the mask.

"...Your payment has run out, little bird."

"Would you like to pay again?"

Yasmin stood up.

"We’re leaving."

She turned around and headed toward the stairs.

Qasim quickly followed.

Just before they reached the exit...

The masked figure spoke once more.

"...Little bird."

Yasmin stopped.

"...Are you happy with your new life?"

For a brief moment...

She remained completely still.

Then without answering...

She continued walking.

Leaving the question behind.

...

After leaving the old house, Qasim asked Yasmin if they should return and report everything to Valen.

But Yasmin had a different idea.

"It’s better if we go check Iron Gate City ourselves."

Since she didn’t seem willing to change her mind, Qasim decided to follow her.

...

Several hours later, they arrived at a dark city.

Literally.

Thick black smoke constantly rose from countless factories and covered the sky.

The air was so polluted that almost everyone wore breathing masks while walking through the streets.

Luckily, since both Qasim and Yasmin were Mahik, they could endure the air without it affecting their search for more evidence.

Surprisingly, neither the police nor the city’s higher authorities seemed to know what had happened.

To them, it was as simple as every major criminal group suddenly leaving the city.

After digging around for more information, they managed to obtain a list of all the dangerous organizations that had fled Iron Gate City during the past three days.

Alpha was on the list.

So were several other powerful groups that Yasmin immediately recognized.

But at the very bottom were the less popular groups.

Unlike the others, there were no records of them fleeing or leaving the city.

They had simply... disappeared overnight.

At first, the two planned to track down one of the groups that had escaped.

But then Qasim’s eyes stopped on one particular name.

The Zookeepers.

His eyes widened.

That was the same name he had heard the kidnappers mention.

"But... how?"

"Weren’t they supposed to be dead?"

"If they were based in this city, how did they escape?"

It felt like an unimportant detail.

Yet no matter who they asked, nobody seemed to know much about the Zookeepers.

"Maybe we should focus on something else," Yasmin suggested.

Qasim shook his head.

"No..."

"I just realized something."

"We can ask the kidnappers directly."

Yasmin didn’t seem very optimistic about how useful that would be.

Still, the two agreed to split up and investigate different leads.

Qasim would return and question the captured kidnappers about the Zookeepers.

Meanwhile, Yasmin would continue investigating the other criminal groups.

"Good luck, Yasmin."

"And... please be careful, okay?"

"Mmm."

"You too."

After watching her disappear into the crowd, Qasim turned around and began making his way back to City Cerys, where the kidnappers were being held.
