Seraphina shrank herself before Luke told her to.
From 9ft to 5"10.
Just a moment ago, she was a giant, but now she was just a normal girl. In spite of that, she didn’t look like a normal girl, because a normal girl wouldn’t be that hot.
Her breasts became a handful, and her legs became slender but still thick.
She retracted her wings and let her feet touch the floor. Now, she was shorter than Luke, and it looked appropriate because he was her master. When she looked up at him, Luke wasn’t sure if it was a look of devotion or seduction.
"Thank you for making it easier for me, Seraphina," he said.
"The pleasure is mine, Master," Seraphina replied with an unwavering gaze. Meanwhile, she was trying to understand why her master was interested in her form because she could read his mind. "Are you looking for where to begin? You can start from my shoulders."
"Yes. That is right. Let me see... Your shoulders are around 20 inches across. Then your chest...
Maybe 50 inches?
Actually, I might need to go bigger than that. That means a bigger cloth to cover everything up there.
Now for the waist. Around 27 inches there. Then your hips are close to 50."
Luke rubbed his chin as he spoke, his eyes walking all over the nude angel as he said, "If the cloth reaches your knees, that should cover most of you. I’ll just need to buy something like a leather belt to secure the fabric at your waist."
"That sounds fantastic, Master. I am thrilled and excited to join you on this journey to clothe me, Seraphina. I can help you remember the measurements when you need them," the Empyreal Angel said. "Where do we get the cloth?"
"There’s a textile mill near this district. We can get some white cloth there," Luke replied. "But I have to be careful with this. I need to ensure Man Cloth doesn’t interfere with your abilities when I crossbreed it with your armor. Afterward, we’ll test you to make sure you haven’t been weakened or lost any of your abilities."
Seraphina didn’t know how Man Cloth could nerf her, but she trusted what Luke had to say because he was her master. Other than being her master, Seraphina liked Luke sincerely for reasons she couldn’t list.
As a divine being, she lacked emotional vocabulary and concepts of how affection or attraction works. So, any sensation she feels gets treated as an unexplainable phenomenon.
While Seraphina dealt with the chemicals entering her brain, she also perceived danger around them.
"Master, someone is coming," she warned, and Luke stopped talking.
Someone was at the doorway. Lin Moon.
Her eyes almost bulged out of her glasses when she saw a naked girl with Luke.
But after many years of training, Lin Moon was an expert at staying composed, so she turned away and left as if she didn’t see them.
"Shit," Luke whispered, hiding Seraphina behind him even though Lin Moon had left.
How could he explain this?
He had gone to his office alone and somehow was seen with a naked girl? He must’ve traumatized Lin Moon for life with this scene!
**********
After a long visit to the construction site, Luke and Lin Moon left. Luke had dismissed Seraphina. On the way, he asked Lin Moon to stop at the textile mill.
There, he bought 100 yards of cloth for 1750 scrips.
100 yards were enough to sew up to 30 pieces of clothing for a normal human. Luke bought this many because he didn’t know which summons in the future would require clothing, too. He also bought many colors, not only white.
When he got back in the car, Lin Moon solved the puzzle of what the clothes were for. But she thought all of them were for Seraphina. She didn’t know Luke was stocking for other summons.
"Miss Moon, I guess I owe you an explanation of who that girl was, why she was with me, and why she was naked."
"No, my Lord. You do not owe me an explanation," Lin Moon corrected with a blank face.
Her reply shocked Luke because he thought she would be bothered by it or think he was some disgusting man who had abducted a girl and brought her around naked to do something bad to her. On the contrary, she wasn’t even interested.
After spending this amount of time with Lin Moon, Luke was curious about her because he knew very little beyond what he could see. She was quiet. She was loyal. She was efficient. That was too robotic for a human. Only enough trauma could shape someone like that.
His other suspicion was that she could be a humanoid summon, and he had no idea. Take Count Lucius, for example. He looked and behaved like a human despite being a summon.
Back to the ride. With nowhere to call home and his aunt hunting for him, Luke wasn’t sure where Lin Moon could drop him off.
He couldn’t trust a hotel or any lodging.
He only had two choices. The Academy or the Blackstones’ residence.
The latter was much safer, but Luke had to be present in the Academy if he wanted to continue the Trials. So he chose the Academy, and Lin Moon’s ride took him there a quarter hour later.
He stepped out of the ride and looked at Lin Moon for one last update.
"The construction will keep continuing at this fast rate and could be finished in two weeks," Lin Moon stated. "That is, if the capital doesn’t dwindle. I can help you request assistance from Mr. Blackstone for additional funding."
"No," Luke replied. "He has helped a lot already, and I will repay him tenfold. This time, I’ll handle it myself."
Lin Moon saw his seriousness and nodded. She shut the door, and her ride drove off down the path.
Luke had less money than he did before because he hadn’t sold any armor in over a week since Adrian burned his shop. Also, his customers had been running riot on the online marketplace, calling his business a sham and accusing him of only looking for quick money instead of building something that could last.
So, how would he handle this problem with no money?
He remembered he had items like Insect Metal, Insect Leather, and Insect Thread that he had gotten from the Insect World.
What if he took a step and sold these very rare items to humans?
Luke had not tried selling anything from the Insect World before. He didn’t even know how humans would react to materials that didn’t exist in their world. But that might just be what makes them valuable.
If Insect Metal was more versatile than ordinary metal, someone would pay for it. If Insect Leather had properties normal leather didn’t, someone else would want it. Insect Thread could even attract tailors.
Items that are basic or common in the Insect World would be revolutionary in the human market.
Luke would be creating a new economy and a monopoly where he set the prices.
