Prescott stared at the glowing sapphire beast core resting in Evren’s palm.

His mouth opened and closed like a dying fish, but no sound came out.

The freezing S-Rank mana radiating from the core filled the entire clearing, proving beyond any shadow of a doubt that the Level 45 Frost Wyvern was dead, and Evren was the one who held its heart.

The stunned silence lasted only three seconds before the entire valley exploded into chaos.

"Fraud! It’s a complete fraud!"

"Young Master Prescott, did you lie to the entire metropolis about clearing the Rift?!"

"The official log shows Prescott Guild fled using an escape crystal! What do you have to say to your sponsors?!"

Dozens of journalists swarmed the podium, pushing microphones and flashing cameras directly into Prescott’s trembling face.

The forty Prescott Guild raiders hung their heads in utter shame, while Prescott stood frozen, clutching his velvet coat as cold sweat drenched his collar.

Chief Inspector Flores stepped forward, flanked by four armed Bureau marshals.

His stern face was filled with cold disgust as he looked at Prescott.

"Young Master Prescott," Inspector Flores declared. "For the crime of falsifying official dimensional clear reports and attempting to defraud the Metropolis Guild Bureau, Prescott Guild’s Rift raiding licenses are suspended immediately pending a full criminal investigation!"

"N-No! Inspector Flores, listen to me!" Prescott shrieked in desperation, stumbling over the podium. "My father is..."

Two armed Bureau marshals stepped forward, blocking Prescott’s path and cutting off his microphone.

Reporters turned around, frantically trying to rush toward Evren with their cameras:

"Guildmaster Evren! What is Apex Guild?!"

"How did you solo a Level 45 B-Rank Rift Boss as a newly registered Guildmaster?!"

Evren didn’t stop to answer.

He slid the S-Rank Wyvern Core back into his pocket, walked past the chaotic crowd, and headed toward the outer road.

A black armored luxury SUV pulled up to the curb. The Apex Security driver stepped out, opening the rear door respectfully and bowing low.

"Welcome back, Guildmaster Evren."

Evren stepped into the warm leather interior of the vehicle, pulling the door shut behind him.

"Let’s go home," Evren said calmly.

The luxury SUV accelerated smoothly onto the highway, cutting through the falling snow and leaving Prescott’s national disgrace far behind.

Meanwhile, in a luxury VIP suite at the Grand Apex Hotel, the atmosphere had turned dead quiet.

Giselle stood in the center of the living room, staring at the 85-inch wall screen in complete, paralyzing horror.

On the live broadcast, the red banner flashed across the screen:

[BREAKING NEWS: PRESCOTT GUILD EXPOSED FOR FRAUD — SECTOR 4 RIFT CONQUERED SOLO BY APEX GUILDMASTER EVREN!]

"No... this is impossible..." Giselle whimpered, her hands shaking so violently she dropped her wine glass onto the carpet.

SHATTER

Red wine splattered across her expensive white dress, but Giselle didn’t even notice.

Her mind was spinning in sheer disbelief.

The broke delivery boy she had dumped three days ago was the sole conqueror of a B-Rank Rift... while the wealthy guild heir she had chosen was being disgraced as a coward and fraud on live national television.

Thirty minutes later, the car arrived at the private underground parking garage of Apex Tower.

Evren rode the private VIP elevator straight to Floor 80.

DING.

The gilded elevator doors slid open into the warm, spacious living room of the Crown Penthouse.

The private nurse from Veridia Health bowed politely and stepped out toward the kitchen.

Sitting by the floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking the metropolis was Amber.

She was sitting in her anti-gravity wheelchair, clutching a warm thermal blanket over her lap. Her knuckles were white from gripping the armrests, and her beautiful eyes were rimmed with red from hours of anxious waiting.

The moment Amber saw Evren walking through the entryway unharmed, her breath hitched.

"Evren..." Amber whispered, tears instantly spilling down her cheeks.

Evren walked across the wooden floor and knelt directly in front of her wheelchair. He took her trembling, cold hands into his warm palms, gently brushing away her tears with his thumbs.

"I told you I’d come back safely," Evren said softly, a warm smile touching his lips.

Amber sniffled, leaning forward to bury her face against his shoulder, her arms wrapping tightly around his neck.

"I was so scared..." she murmured softly. "I saw the news alerts about the Frost Rift... they said the mana fluctuations were off the charts... I thought something happened to you..."

"Nothing happened," Evren assured her gently, patting her back. "In fact, I brought back exactly what we needed."

Evren reached into his inner coat pocket and retrieved an elegant, dark velvet preservation box.

He pressed the latch, opening the lid.

Inside rested the Glacial Lotus Essence. The translucent blue petals shimmered with soft, magical light, releasing a soothing, sweet medicinal fragrance that instantly filled the penthouse living room.

Amber’s eyes widened in sheer astonishment.

As a former S-Rank Captain, Amber recognized high-tier Rift treasures instantly.

"The... the Glacial Lotus Essence..." Amber gasped, her hand flying to her mouth in disbelief. "And it’s a pristine grade... Evren, this only blooms at the summit of a B-Rank Frost Rift! You went into that deadly Rift just to get this for me?!"

"Of course," Evren smiled warmly. "I promised I’d heal your legs, didn’t I?"

Amber looked into his calm, gentle eyes, her heart swelling with an overwhelming rush of love and devotion. No one in her entire life... not her family, not her former guild had ever risked their life for her like this.

A translucent golden system screen flared in Evren’s vision:

Evren didn’t hesitate for a single second.

A radiant golden light enveloped the velvet box.

When the light faded, a smooth, blue medicinal pill glowing with golden runes sat in the box, beside a small glass bottle of warm, amber-colored thermal oil.

Evren picked up the glass of warm spring water from the side table, dissolved the Stage 2 Pill into the liquid, and brought it to Amber’s lips.

"Drink this, Amber," Evren said gently. "It will heal the deep nerve necrosis in your spine."

Amber nodded without the slightest hesitation. She trusted Evren with her life.

She drank the warm, sweet elixir in several small sips.

For a few seconds, the room was silent.

Then, a soft golden and blue glow began to emanate from Amber’s lower back.

"Ah..." Amber let out a soft, surprised gasp.

A wave of soothing warmth spread from her lumbar vertebrae, flowing down her legs like a spring stream. The cold numbness that had gripped her lower body for months began to fade away.

THUMP. THUMP.

Amber’s heart raced as an intense tingling sensation rushed down through her hips and into both of her thighs.

Evren carefully lifted Amber from her wheelchair and carried her over to the soft sofa, laying her down gently. He uncapped the Glacial Thermal Massage Elixir, poured a few drops of the warm aromatic oil onto his palms, and began gently massaging her thigh muscles.

The warmth of his hands combined with the medicinal power of the elixir to stimulate the newly awakened nerve endings.

Amber’s entire body trembled.

Her fingers gripped Evren’s forearms tightly, her face flushed with a beautiful crimson blush as tears of pure, overwhelming joy streamed down her cheeks.

"Evren..." Amber sobbed softly, looking up into his eyes. "I can feel your hands... I can feel the warmth... Evren, I can feel my legs!"
