The custom armored car drove smoothly through the city. Its advanced suspension made the ride perfectly steady, even on bumpy roads.

Inside, Amber looked through the tinted privacy glass as the bustling high-rises of the downtown core gradually gave way to the lush, pine-lined winding avenues of Victoria Hill.

Victoria Hill was the highest peak in Veridia Metropolis, reserved exclusively for old-money aristocrats and sovereign-ranked guild headquarters.

As the vehicle reached the top of the mountain, two twenty-foot wrought-iron gates materialized through the mountain mist.

BEEP.

The vehicle’s biometric scanner synchronized with the estate’s security array and the massive iron gates swung open silently.

Amber let out a soft, trembling breath, her eyes widening in pure wonder.

Before them lay fifty acres of private paradise. The hillside featured well-kept pine gardens, quiet pools, and stone terraces, with misty peaks in the background.

At the center of the estate stood the Imperial Crest Palace, a majestic neoclassical masterpiece of white granite and dark slate, surrounded by soft blue-glowing S-Rank defensive rune pylons.

The transport came to a gentle halt along the grand circular marble driveway.

Lined up in two rows were sixty estate staff in matching black-and-silver uniforms, including private chefs, gardeners, housekeepers, and specialized medical therapists.

Standing at the head of the receiving line was an elderly, distinguished gentleman in a formal morning coat with white gloves: Head Butler Arthur.

The driver activated the automated wheelchair ramp.

Evren gently wheeled Amber out into the pine-scented mountain air.

Immediately, Butler Arthur and all sixty staff members bowed at a perfect, synchronized angle.

"Welcome home, Chairman Evren. Welcome home, Miss Sterling," Arthur greeted them warmly. "The Imperial Crest Manor is fully prepared for your residence."

Amber looked at the bowing staff, then looked up at the towering palace mansion. Her fingers tightened slightly around the armrests of her wheelchair.

Six days ago, she had been discarded in a cold, rainy alleyway like broken trash, stripped of her titles and left to die. Today, sixty elite professionals bowed to her as the sovereign mistress of the greatest estate in the metropolis.

A tear slipped down Amber’s cheek, but a radiant, breathtaking smile broke across her face.

Evren gently placed his hand over hers, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "Let’s go inside, Amber."

Butler Arthur escorted them through the grand double doors of the Master Pavilion.

The interior was magnificent. Heated Italian marble floors gave way to rich mahogany trim, while towering floor-to-ceiling glass walls provided an unobstructed, panoramic view of the entire metropolis glittering thousands of feet below.

"The master pavilion has been equipped with dedicated private elevator access, reinforced mana-shielding, and independent environmental filtration," Arthur explained. "Behind the private master terrace is the estate’s crowning jewel: the ancient natural mana thermal springs."

Evren nodded. "Thank you, Arthur. Give us some privacy for the afternoon."

"Right away, sir," Arthur bowed and quietly led the staff away.

Evren wheeled Amber through the sliding glass terrace doors into a secluded, private courtyard sheltered by weeping pines and smooth volcanic riverstones.

Warm, mineral-rich steam rose into the cool mountain air, carrying the faint, intoxicating scent of earth-frost mana.

The thermal spring was fed directly by a deep subterranean mana vein, bubbling with clear, heated waters rich in restorative minerals.

Evren helped Amber slip out of her emerald wrap coat and assisted her into a soft, white spa wrap.

Then, stepping up to the edge of the stone pool, Evren slid his arms beneath her back and knees, gently lifting her into his arms.

Amber gasped softly, her arms instinctively wrapping around his neck. She rested her head against his chest, feeling the steady, powerful beat of his heart.

Evren carefully stepped down the smooth submerged stone steps, lowering them both into the soothing, chest-deep thermal water.

The warmth enveloped them instantly.

The moment the mineral-rich thermal water touched Amber’s skin, something extraordinary happened.

The earth-frost mana in the volcanic spring interacted directly with the Stage 2 Glacial Lotus medicine still circulating in her bloodstream.

HUMMM.

A soothing, radiant heat surged through Amber’s spine.

The warmth rushed down from her lower back into her hips, cascading like liquid sunlight through her thighs, down her calves, and into the soles of her feet.

Amber’s breath caught in her throat. Her eyes flew open in shock.

"Evren..." Amber whispered in a trembling voice filled with emotion. "My legs... they feel so warm. The numbness... it’s fading!"

"The natural mana in the water is accelerating the nerve regeneration," Evren said softly, a warm smile touching his eyes.

He moved closer, placing his strong hands securely around her waist to support her weight in the buoyant water.

"Try to put your feet down on the stones, Amber," Evren encouraged gently. "I have you. I won’t let you fall."

Amber looked into Evren’s calm, confident gaze. Trusting him completely, she took a deep, shuddering breath and slowly extended her legs downward.

Her bare feet touched the warm volcanic stones at the bottom of the pool.

For six agonizing months, her legs had felt like dead weight... useless, cold, and hollow. But now, as she pressed her soles against the riverstones, she felt the firm resistance of the ground.

Strength flowed through her quadriceps and calves.

With Evren supporting her waist, Amber slowly, deliberately straightened her knees.

Her legs held her weight.

SPLASH.

Amber stood upright in the water.

Her eyes filled with tears of pure shock.

"I’m... I’m standing," Amber choked out with a sob catching in her throat. "Evren... I’m standing on my own feet!"

"You’re doing it, Amber," Evren whispered proudly, keeping his hands firmly around her waist. "Try to take a step forward. Slowly."

Amber focused every ounce of her will.

Her leg muscles trembled with exertion. She couldn’t fully lift her feet yet, but with Evren supporting most of her weight, Amber pushed forward, managing to slowly drag her right foot across the smooth volcanic stones.

A sharp, tingling sensation shot up her calves.

Then, gritting her teeth in determination, she dragged her left foot forward.

Shhh.

Two slow, trembling drags through the buoyant water.

It wasn’t a full, independent walk, but for a woman whose lower body had been declared permanently dead by every doctor in the metropolis, being able to stand and drag her own feet forward was nothing short of a miracle.

Tears flowed freely down Amber’s cheeks.

Unable to hold back the flood of emotions, she turned and wrapped both arms tightly around Evren’s neck, burying her face into his shoulder as she wept tears of uncontainable joy.

"Thank you..." Amber sobbed against his neck, clinging to him with all the strength in her heart. "Thank you, Evren... thank you..."

Evren held her securely in his arms, resting his chin against her fragrant hair.

A radiant, translucent golden system prompt flashed softly in Evren’s vision:

[DING! HEROINE PHYSICAL RECOVERY & EMOTIONAL MILESTONE ACHIEVED!]

[TARGET: Amber Sterling (First Supported Steps in Thermal Mana Spring)]

[DEVOTION RESONANCE DETECTED: Amber’s Trust & Bond Deepens Significantly!]

[SYSTEM MULTIPLIER RESTORATION TRACK: 1/3 MILESTONES COMPLETED]

Evren smiled, feeling a profound sense of peace as he held Amber close in the warm, rising steam.

Meanwhile, across Veridia Metropolis...

News of the B-Rank Frost Rift solo clearance had completely exploded across every television network, social media platform, and Awakener forum.

The name Apex Guild was on everyone’s lips.

At Horizon Plaza, thousands of freelance Awakeners, veteran mercenaries, and top-tier academy graduates had already swarmed the 30th floor, desperate for a chance to join the mysterious new powerhouse guild.

And across town, in the estate of the Sterling Clan, Amber’s greedy uncle, Garrett Sterling, slammed his teacup onto his mahogany desk as his informant delivered the latest high-society whisper:

"What did you just say?!" Garrett roared. "Amber was seen riding in a luxury security convoy into the fifty-million-dollar Imperial Crest Manor on Victoria Hill?!"
