Evren pushed the wheelchair through the rain, his mind working fast.

He thought about his old apartment. It was a tiny, moldy room on the fourth floor of a run-down building. The stairs were broken, there was no elevator, and the heating had been out for two weeks.

Carrying a paralyzed woman up four flights of dark stairs into a cold, damp room would only make her condition worse.

Amber looked up from beneath the hood of his delivery jacket. "Evren... right?" she asked softly. "Thank you for getting me out of there... but where are we going now? Your place?"

"No," Evren replied, wiping water from his forehead. "My old place has four flights of broken stairs and no heat. You need somewhere clean and warm to recover."

"I know a place," Evren said. ’I have ten million dollars in my account now. She’s not staying in a slum.’

Evren turned the wheelchair onto the main boulevard and headed toward Apex Tower Luxury Residences. It was the tallest, most high-tech apartment building in Veridia Metropolis, famous for housing wealthy guild executives and high-rank Awakeners.

Evren pushed the wheelchair through the automatic glass doors into the grand, heated marble lobby.

Immediately, two tall, burly security guards in sharp black suits stepped forward from beside the front reception counter to block their path.

Both guards looked at Evren’s rain-soaked delivery jacket, his muddy shoes, and Amber’s wheelchair with unhidden disgust.

"Hold it right there," the lead guard snapped, holding up a palm. "Where do you think you’re going?"

"I’m here to rent an apartment," Evren said calmly, stopping a few feet from the reception desk.

The second guard burst out laughing. "Rent an apartment? Kid, this is Apex Tower, not a homeless shelter. The deposit alone costs more than you’ll make in your entire life. Turn around and get out before we drag you out."

Amber’s head dropped lower. She felt a familiar sting of embarrassment, pulling Evren’s jacket tighter around herself. "Evren... maybe we should leave..."

"We’re staying right here," Evren said softly to her.

He didn’t get angry at the guards. He simply reached into his pocket, pulled out his phone, and stepped around the lead guard toward the marble reception counter right beside them.

"Hey! Are you deaf?" the lead guard shouted, turning and reaching out to grab Evren’s shoulder.

Before the guard’s hand could touch him, Evren tapped his cracked phone against the VIP scanner on the front counter.

BEEP!

A bright golden light flashed on the reception console, followed by a loud, high-pitched chime that echoed through the entire lobby.

A glowing digital message popped up on the desk screen:

NOTICE: VIP BLACK CARD ACCOUNT DETECTED. UNLIMITED PRIORITY SERVICE ENGAGED.

The lead guard’s hand froze in mid-air. Both guards stared at the flashing golden console, their faces turning completely pale.

Before anyone could speak, a door behind the counter burst open, and a middle-aged man in an expensive gray suit sprinted out, sweating profusely. It was the General Manager of Apex Tower.

"Sir! Welcome to Apex Tower!" the manager bowed deeply with a trembling voice. He glanced at the two security guards and glared at them with rage. "You two idiots! What did you just do?! Get out of my sight! You’re suspended without pay!"

The guards gulped, bowing repeatedly to Evren in terror before hurrying away into the back room.

The manager turned back to Evren, bowing even lower. "Sir, I am deeply, deeply sorry for their insolence. Please forgive us. How may Apex Tower serve you tonight?"

"I need the top penthouse suite immediately," Evren said in a clear voice. "Fully furnished, fully heated, and fully accessible for a wheelchair."

"Right away, sir!" the manager tapped his tablet quickly. "Our top-floor Crown Penthouse is available. It has private elevator access, floor heating, and medical-grade air purification. A three-month lease is fifty thousand dollars."

"I’ll take it," Evren said, tapping his phone against the scanner again.

Payment Successful: $50,000.00.

"Keycards activated, sir!" the manager handed over two sleek silver cards with trembling hands. "Elevator six is unlocked exclusively for your suite. Please let me know if you need anything at all!"

Evren took the cards and pushed Amber into the private elevator.

Ten seconds later, the elevator doors opened directly into the Crown Penthouse.

The apartment was massive. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows offered a breathtaking view of the entire rain-slicked city. The floors were heated hardwood, the air was warm and purified, and plush leather furniture filled the main living room.

Evren pushed Amber over to the soft sofa and carefully lifted her into his arms to transfer her from the wheelchair to the couch.

Amber gasped softly as he lifted her. She felt how light she was; she had lost so much weight over the past six months. Evren gently laid her down against the soft cushions.

Amber looked around the gorgeous penthouse, her eyes wide with shock.

"Evren..." she whispered, looking up at him. "This place... it must cost a fortune. Why are you spending all this money on me?"

"Because you’re going to get better here," Evren said gently. "And because you deserve a real place to rest."

He reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out the small silver box he had received from the system earlier. He opened it, revealing a glowing golden pill that smelled of fresh lotus and medicinal herbs.

The S-Rank Nerve Regeneration Pill (Stage 1).

"Eat this," Evren said, handing the pill to her.

Amber looked at the glowing pill. As a former S-Rank Captain, she could feel the dense, pure mana radiating from it. This wasn’t ordinary medicine; it was an elite elixir worth a fortune.

"Where did you get this?" she asked, looking skeptically at Evren. "A pill like this... it’s priceless."

"Just trust me and take it," Evren said with a warm smile.

Amber looked into his eyes and nodded. She put the pill into her mouth and swallowed it.

For a moment, nothing happened.

Then, Amber’s eyes widened as a surge of warm, golden energy dissolved in her stomach, flowing rapidly down her spine like a gentle wave of liquid heat. The cold, dead numbness in her lower body began to melt away.

Suddenly, Amber gasped.

Her toes twitched.

It was a tiny, faint movement, but Amber felt it clearly. A sharp wave of warmth passed through her feet and ankles.

Tears instantly spilled from Amber’s eyes. For six terrifying months, her legs had felt like dead blocks of ice. She had been told by every top doctor in the city that her nerves were permanently destroyed.

"My... my toes..." Amber sobbed, grabbing Evren’s sleeve with trembling hands. "I... I felt them move, Evren! I felt warmth in my feet!"

Evren smiled warmly, placing his hand over hers. "I told you. You’re going to get better."

Amber buried her face in her hands, weeping tears of pure joy and relief. "I...I don’t know what to say, Evren."

"You don’t need to. Just get some rest first."

At that exact moment, somewhere across the city in a high-end club, Prescott was holding a glass of champagne when his phone rang.

It was the manager of Apex Tower.

"What is it?" Prescott grunted into the phone. "Did you secure the Crown Penthouse for my guild’s party hub like I asked?"

"I... I’m sorry, Young Master Prescott," the manager’s timid voice came through the line. "The Crown Penthouse was just leased five minutes ago."

"What?!" Prescott slammed his glass onto the table, his face twisting in anger. "I told you I wanted that penthouse! Who dared to take it?"

"A mystery VIP Black Card holder paid fifty thousand dollars cash upfront," the manager stammered. "We couldn’t refuse him."

"Dammit!" Prescott roared, hanging up the phone. He had no idea that the "mystery billionaire" who outbid him was the very delivery boy he had fired hours ago.

Back in the penthouse, the translucent system screen flared in front of Evren’s eyes.

A sleek, metallic silver ring materialized directly in Evren’s open palm.

Evren stopped, lifting his hand to examine it. The ring was surprisingly light, covered in glowing blue runes carved along its surface.

’A Spatial Storage Ring?’ Evren thought, turning it over between his thumb and index finger. ’One hundred cubic meters of dimensional space?’

Curious, he slid the ring onto his right index finger.

The moment it snugged around his finger, the blue runes flared softly. Evren gasped as a clear, instant mental link connected his mind to a vast, empty dimensional vault... a giant 100-cubic-meter space floating in a pocket dimension that only he could access.

Evren looked down at Amber, who was resting peacefully on the sofa with a faint smile on her face.

His bank balance now stood at over $14,950,000.00.

Evren turned his gaze out toward the glittering city lights below. His old life as a broke delivery boy was over.

"Giselle... Prescott..." Evren murmured softly under his breath. "This is just the beginning."
