Several knights who sensed the magic immediately rushed towards the source of the magic. They rushed towards the room where Rid and the others were. When they got close to the room, they saw Commander Mina looking towards the door.

"Commander Mina!," said the knights

"You guys, why have you come here?" asked Commander Mina.

"We sensed a powerful magic emanating from that room. Did the commander sense it too?" asked one of the knights.

"Yes, I felt it too," said Commander Mina.

"Why don't you go into the room right away? I heard that Lord Duke and Princess Irene are in there, and they could be in danger," said the knight.

"You don't need to panic. You stay here, I'll check it out myself," said Commander Mina.

"Yes, Commander," said the knight.

Commander Mina then approached the door and knocked.

*Knock* Knock* Knock

"Lord Duke, are you okay inside?" asked Commander Mina.

"I'm fine, Mina. You don't need to worry," said Duke Louis from behind the door.

"Several knights and I sensed a strong magic from the room where Lord Duke was. We were worried about it, and we're all gathered in front of the door now," said Commander Mina.

"You don't need to worry, Mina. All of us in this room are fine. Tell your knights not to worry either," said Duke Louis.

"Yes, Lord Duke," said Commander Mina.

Commander Mina then slowly moved away from the door. Then she turned to her knights.

"Lord Duke is fine, you don't need to worry," said Commander Mina.

"But, com-," said the knight.

"I said you don't need to worry," said Commander Mina.

The knights still seemed worried about Lord Duke, but was immediately cut off by Commander Mina.

"Yes, commander," said the knight.

Back to the room where Duchess Arlet was.

I continued to cast my fire magic and directed it at Duchess Arlet's body. I saw that the white and blue aura surrounding Duchess Arlet's heart had already dissipated by 50%. After realizing this, I slowly began to close my eyes. I kept them closed for a few seconds. After that, I quickly opened them. The reason I had closed my eyes earlier was so I could focus on increasing my magic power. And after opening my eyes, I felt my magic power had grown stronger than before.

Then, I looked back at Duchess Arlet's heart. The white and blue aura surrounding Duchess Arlet's heart began to dissipate more rapidly than before.

"You don't need to worry. I've successfully melted the ice surrounding your mother's heart," I said, slowly opening my eyes.

Irene didn't react to my words. Instead, she seemed focused on looking at my face.

"Rid's eyes have returned to normal. Was what I saw earlier just an illusion? Was I seeing things?" Irene thought.

I was confused by Irene's unresponsiveness and silence, staring at my face. I decided to speak to her.

"What's wrong, Irene? Why are you so quiet?" I asked.

Irene, who had been silent, started talking again after I spoke to her.

"Nothing, Rid," Irene said.

Meanwhile, as Rid and Irene were talking, Duchess Arlet, who was lying in bed, slowly began to open her eyes.
