"Luo, I want to go with you, too. Can I?" said the young man with the colorful hair.
"Zhao Chongjian, what would you do there? You’d just be throwing your life away. You haven’t even reached the Innate Realm."
Nie Xing glanced at Zhao Chongjian with a smile.
Zhao Chongjian was the young master of the Zhao Family, a second-rate noble family in Jingxi. His standing in the city was respectable—certainly much higher than an ordinary person’s, given his background.
The ones who could gather like this were all of a similar social standing, not too far apart from one another.
Nie Xing’s position, however, was the most unique. It could be said that Nie Xing’s support was what had brought Luo Yidao to where he was today, step by step. But recently, Luo Yidao had been somewhat cold toward him. This was perhaps a common attitude for people after they found success.
Although Nie Xing looked happy, he was actually quite displeased on the inside.
Moreover, Luo Yidao had never mentioned anything about going to Kunlun Xushan before.
As they were talking, a car slowly pulled up outside.
Luo Yidao’s gaze turned toward the window.
"Luo, did you invite someone else today?"
Nie Xing looked at Luo Yidao.
Luo Yidao shook his head.
"No, today was supposed to be a private gathering for just us."
"I didn’t invite anyone else."
Luo Yidao was puzzled as well.
’Who could it be?’
Just then, the car door opened. The person who stepped out made Luo Yidao’s brow twitch slightly.
It was, of course, none other than Gong Liangbu and Chen Qingdi.
"It’s Gong Liangbu."
"And who’s that young guy he brought with him?"
"Yidao, didn’t you have a falling out with Gong Liangbu?"
"What’s he doing at your house?"
Zhang Feng looked at Luo Yidao.
Luo Yidao was also completely baffled.
"I don’t know. But I don’t care what he’s here for."
"He’s far from being my match now."
"And his status is far beneath mine."
Luo Yidao said with a smug look on his face.
"My dear Luo, you see me arrive and don’t even come out to greet me."
"Don’t you forget, I was the one who brought you to Jingxi in the first place."
"And I was the one who introduced you to the Zheng Family here in Jingxi."
"I played an undeniable part in you getting to where you are today."
Gong Liangbu strode in with a smile.
Luo Yidao’s smile slowly faded. He said, "Gong, I don’t recall inviting you today."
"Besides, the last time we spoke, you told me yourself that you never wanted to see me again."
Luo Yidao stared at Gong Liangbu, waiting to see what he was really up to.
"But now I want to see you again."
"Seeing you doing so well... It doesn’t make me happy!"
Gong Liangbu said, a smile on his face.
"Everything you have today is built on the foundation I laid for you, step by step."
"When you first came to Jingxi, you had no power and no connections. I introduced you to all sorts of influential friends. I even got you into the Martial Medicine Association as a member, and now you’re a first-level Martial Physician. But after you became successful, you tossed me aside like a dirty rag."
"I could have accepted that. But why did you have to go and harm me?"
Gong Liangbu said coldly.
"I harmed you?"
"How did I harm you? When we decided to go our separate ways, I told you we’d each go our own way and not interfere with each other. Are you here today to cause trouble?"
Luo Yidao said indifferently.
"If you hadn’t harmed me, why would I be in this state?"
"I’m sure you know very well how you harmed me."
"What, you’re not going to admit it?"
Gong Liangbu stared at Luo Yidao.
"I never had any intention of harming you."
"Don’t judge a gentleman by your own petty standards."
Luo Yidao simply refused to admit it.
Chen Qingdi watched the scene unfold with a placid expression, looking like a complete bystander.
However, he would still step in when the critical moment came.
Looking at the man before him, Gong Liangbu felt that Luo Yidao had changed drastically.
The humble, low-key, and considerate friend who always looked out for him was long gone.
As Gong Liangbu stared at Luo Yidao, his own gaze grew colder and colder.
"I treated you as a friend, and you treated me like a fool."
"When I bought my first house, you had Nie Xing, this Feng Shui Master, inspect it for me. You haven’t forgotten the ’good deeds’ you did inside, have you?"
Gong Liangbu said icily.
Hearing this, both Luo Yidao and Nie Xing’s hearts skipped a beat.
They had been very careful when they tampered with the Feng Shui back then.
And since Gong Liangbu knew nothing about Feng Shui, they thought he would never find out even if they did something.
But now, he had finally realized.
’But so what if he has?’
Right now, Gong Liangbu was inferior to him in medical practice and in cultivation realm.
All he could do was eat dust in his wake.
Even though he had found his way here today, Luo Yidao wasn’t the least bit afraid of him.
"What bullshit about Feng Shui."
"If you have nothing better to do, then get the hell out."
"I don’t want to see you."
Luo Yidao directly ordered him to leave.
But Gong Liangbu showed no intention of leaving.
"Who is the Feng Shui Master?"
At this moment, Chen Qingdi slowly stood up and looked at the group.
His gaze then locked onto Nie Xing.
"It’s you, isn’t it."
Chen Qingdi could tell with a single glance.
"So what if it is?"
Nie Xing stared coldly at Chen Qingdi.
"And who the hell are you, kid?"
"Gong Liangbu, is this your servant?"
Zhao Chongjian looked at Chen Qingdi with utter contempt.
"This is Mr. Chen, a Medical Saint,"
Gong Liangbu said.
"A Medical Saint? You must be joking."
"There isn’t a single Medical Saint in all of Jingxi."
"Even Kyoto only has two of them,"
Luo Yidao said mockingly.
"Your horizons are narrow, and you’re too snobbish to see what’s in front of you. Some Medical Saints prefer to be low-key, like this Chen Qingdi right here."
Gong Liangbu looked at them with disdain.
"HAHAHA!"
"That’s hilarious."
"Since you claim this kid is a Medical Saint, why don’t you have him perform a Medical Dao Sacred Skill for us to see?"
Zhang Feng sneered at Chen Qingdi.
"My medical skills are for saving people, not for putting on a show for you."
"Nie Xing, is it? Don’t think for a second that I can’t break your Yin Fiend Formation just because you used a couple of bronze vats covered in evil markings."
"If you dismantle that Yin Fiend Formation that’s hindering Gong Liangbu’s development yourself, I can spare you this once. You’d better think it through."
Chen Qingdi looked at Nie Xing impassively.
His gaze then shifted to Luo Yidao, and he continued, "Luo Yidao, you have acted against the natural order, using a mystical Feng Shui formation to sabotage another person’s fortune. While you may not have been the one who set it up, you were the mastermind behind it. Kneel before Gong Liangbu at once, apologize, and show true remorse."
