Seeing the anxious Elder Wu, Chen Qingdi remained perfectly calm.

"I suppose Elder Wu already has someone in mind."

"I won’t meddle in your Wu Family’s internal affairs. My only job is to save her,"

Chen Qingdi said with a smile.

"Thank you,"

Elder Wu said.

Chen Qingdi gently placed his palm on Madam Wang’s back, channeling a stream of True Energy directly into her body to cleanse her meridians.

Again and again, he slowly realigned her disordered meridians.

After less than an hour of cleansing, Chen Qingdi withdrew his hand.

"It’s done,"

Chen Qingdi said.

Hearing this from Chen Qingdi, Elder Wu let out a huge sigh of relief, even though Madam Wang had yet to awaken.

"Is my wife really cured?"

Elder Wu couldn’t help but ask.

"Of course. Why would I lie to you?"

"She’ll wake up in another half an hour,"

Chen Qingdi said.

Elder Wu’s wife, Madam Wang, was named Wang Yingcai.

She had been married to Elder Wu for many years.

In recent years, she had gradually retreated behind the scenes.

She no longer involved herself in much of the Wu Family’s business.

But when Chen Qingdi mentioned that this was related to members of the Wu Family, Elder Wu decided he needed to investigate the matter quietly.

He couldn’t make a big fuss about it; otherwise, if he alerted the culprit, they would likely flee.

Sure enough, in less than half an hour, Wang Yingcai sat up.

She looked at Elder Wu and Chen Qingdi, her face a mask of confusion.

"Why are you two here?"

"This young man... haven’t we met before? You brought him here last time,"

Wang Yingcai said, looking at Elder Wu.

"Yes. I brought him to treat you last time, but you refused."

"So he left. This time, when your illness flared up, I invited Mr. Chen back over. He’s the one who saved you."

"Don’t you remember what happened earlier?"

Elder Wu looked toward his wife.

But Wang Yingcai couldn’t remember a single thing about what had happened.

She shook her head repeatedly, indicating she had no idea.

"I can’t remember anything at all."

"What happened?"

Madam Wang asked.

"You went berserk and tried to bite people."

"Look at the blood on the floor."

Elder Wu said, pointing to the blood on the ground.

Hearing this, Madam Wang fell into deep thought.

She couldn’t comprehend why something like that would have happened.

"Mr. Chen, what exactly caused me to act that way?"

"You must have some answer for me."

Madam Wang stared intently at Chen Qingdi.

"I’ve already explained to Elder Wu. It’s called Rampant Beast Syndrome."

"As for the specifics, you can ask Elder Wu later,"

Chen Qingdi said.

"Very well."

Wang Yingcai could only nod.

"Mr. Chen, you’ve done me another great favor today by saving my wife’s life. You saved my life before, and now this. You are a great benefactor to our Wu Family."

"If you need anything in the future, just say the word. As long as it’s within my power to do, I will not refuse,"

Elder Wu declared.

"Excellent. Those are your words. I hope you remember them,"

Chen Qingdi said.

"I will certainly remember what I’ve said today,"

Elder Wu said.

With that, Elder Wu took out a gold card and pressed it into Chen Qingdi’s hand.

"Take this card. Please don’t refuse. I would have to pay a consultation fee to anyone who treated my wife. Otherwise, it would seem as if the life of the Wu Family’s matriarch is worthless,"

Elder Wu insisted.

"Since you put it that way, Elder Wu, it would be rude of me to refuse,"

Chen Qingdi said.

"Mr. Chen, don’t leave just yet. Stay for a meal,"

Elder Wu said.

"It’s not time to eat just yet. There is something else we need to do,"

Chen Qingdi said.

"What might that be?"

Elder Wu was completely baffled.

"If you want Madam Wang to be completely cured, we may need to go to a certain place,"

Chen Qingdi said to Elder Wu.

At the same time, he glanced at the Wu Family’s matriarch.

Wang Yingcai was just as confused, eager to know how she could completely cure her condition.

"Go where?"

Wang Yingcai asked, puzzled.

"Elder Wu, do you remember the place where we met last time? That’s where,"

Chen Qingdi said.

"That place is very dangerous."

"Many Martial Cultivators have been heading there recently,"

Elder Wu said.

"I’ve heard that there is a Land of Spiritual Qi there."

"If we can find that place of Spiritual Energy and use it to nourish Madam Wang’s body, her meridians will be able to recover on their own. Otherwise, her previous condition may very well resurface after some time,"

Chen Qingdi explained.

Hearing this, Elder Wu was still conflicted.

He looked to his wife.

"My dear, what do you say?"

Elder Wu said to Madam Wang.

"Let’s go."

"I am a Guiyuan Realm cultivator, after all,"

Wang Yingcai said.

"Where is this place?"

Wang Yingcai asked.

"It’s that little rundown park near our house. Rumor has it there’s a natural Spiritual Qi Source inside."

"The thing is, I went looking for it last time and couldn’t find it. What’s more, I ran into an assassin. If Mr. Chen hadn’t shown up and saved me, I would have been done for,"

Elder Wu said.

"So Mr. Chen is a master as well. In that case, there’s no need to overthink it."

"Let’s just go."

"This illness of mine must be cured at the root. Otherwise, who knows what kind of trouble it might stir up later,"

Wang Yingcai said.

’The Wu Family has fought hard to achieve its current status. If a scandal broke out, it would be a disaster.’

’Other families would take advantage of any internal turmoil to make a move against them.’

"Then let’s go,"

Chen Qingdi said.

"It would be best if just the three of us go. The fewer people who know, the better,"

the Wu Family’s matriarch said.

"Yes, I was thinking the same thing,"

Elder Wu agreed.

And so, the three of them left together.

When the Wu Family servants saw that Madam Wang was well, they were all overjoyed.

"Madam Wang, you’re better!"

"This is wonderful!"

The Wu Family servants were so happy they were on the verge of applauding.

"It was never anything serious."

"Honestly, were you all hoping something bad would happen to me?"

"Alright, everyone get back to your duties,"

the Wu Family matriarch said.

With that said, the Wu Family matriarch strode toward the exit.

Elder Wu and Chen Qingdi followed her out.

Once outside, Chen Qingdi got behind the wheel and drove them toward the little rundown park.

It didn’t take them long to reach the small, rundown park. Even in broad daylight, the light within was dim.
