Qin Xian didn’t even glance at the Stalker Crystal. Without a second thought, he turned and walked away.
While the item was technically valuable, to Qin Xian, it was less than trash. What interested him was something else entirely—after slaying the Void Stalker, his passive skill God-Slayer Growth had granted him another 15 attribute points.
He could use this opportunity to hunt more Void Elite Monsters and stack up additional passive buffs.
Here in the Void Realm, elite-class monsters that were rare in the human world could be found practically everywhere.
Though Qin Xian was himself a Void Overlord, possessing the Void Bloodline, and in a certain sense, these Void creatures could be considered his subordinates—his kin, even—he had no qualms about hunting them down
To him, these Void monsters were less than slaves. They were ants, and their only worth was in becoming the nourishment for his power.
In his view, it was an honor for them to die for his evolution.
Deep within the Void, a fierce battle raged.
A squad of human professionals moved in perfect unison, attacking a massive creature with practiced coordination.
Their target was a Void Hunter—a towering Level 50 Elite Monster, just one step away from evolving into a Void General.
At last, with a final, unwilling roar, the beast collapsed.
“We finally took it down!” exhaled a stocky, middle-aged man in heavy armor.
A grin spread across his face. His name was Zhao Tong, a Level 49 S-Rank Heavy Warrior, and the rest of his team were all above Level 45.
They’d been operating in the Void for months, carving a path of death through countless monsters and reaping rich rewards.
“Captain, once we get back to the human world, you better treat us to a feast!” joked a young man with a mischievous grin. His handsome face wore a cocky smile.
Laughter rippled through the team.
Beside the youth, a cheerful girl chimed in,
“Seems like the Void isn’t as scary as they say, huh?”
The girl was Zhou Ruo, a graduate of the Pingxi Academy, and an S-Rank Shadow Assassin with immense potential.
She’d joined the team only a few months ago and had already reached Level 38—a blistering pace that stood out across the human world.
The young man next to her was her boyfriend, Wang Hao, also a Pingxi graduate and Zhou Ruo’s former classmate. The two had been dating for about a year, still caught in the haze of young love.
Ever since joining the team, Zhou Ruo and Wang Hao had experienced nothing but success. Even slaying a Void Hunter hadn’t proven too difficult, making the girl grow increasingly confident—and just a bit skeptical.
Everyone always said the Void was terrifying, humanity’s greatest enemy. But in the few months she’d spent here, she hadn’t seen anything that justified that reputation.
Most Void creatures they encountered were quickly hunted down, dropping rare materials and riches galore.
Zhao Tong’s smile faded slightly. He shook his head, his voice low but serious.
“Don’t get complacent. We haven’t seen the true face of the Void. The danger here… it’s beyond what you can imagine. Where we’re standing now is technically still the edge of the Void. Aside from a few historic expeditions, no one has truly explored its depths.”
Zhou Ruo pouted, clearly unconvinced, but still nodded, not wanting to argue. Zhao Tong sighed inwardly—he could tell she hadn’t really taken his words to heart.
But he had.
He had seen a Void Invasion with his own eyes.
Zhao Tong shook his head again and barked an order, “Rest up. We’re heading back soon!”
Wang Hao cheered, then leaned close to Zhou Ruo and whispered with a smile, “By now, your dad should be okay with us, don’t you think?”
Wang Hao wasn’t from an impressive class—only a B-Rank professional—far beneath Zhou Ruo’s level. Naturally, her family had opposed their relationship.
Though the Zhou Clan wasn’t major, they still had pride.
But over the past year, Wang Hao had grown rapidly. His level was now comparable to Zhou Ruo’s, and his combat power may even have surpassed hers.
He’d also caught the eye of a high-ranking Central Army officer—his future seemed bright.
Zhou Ruo’s father had gradually softened, ultimately allowing the relationship.
The two had already decided: when they returned, they would get engaged.
They exchanged a glance, eyes soft with affection—the kind of look that melted into the air, glowing with sweetness.
Even their teammates smiled, watching the young couple beam with joy.
But then… Zhao Tong’s expression changed.
Dramatically.
“Get down—NOW!!” he roared, panic etched in every word.
Suddenly, a massive Void Sandworm erupted from a rift, launching itself straight at the team. A wave of terrifying Void energy swept across the battlefield, scattering the group like leaves in a storm.
Screams, blood, and chaos followed.
And then it got worse.
More Void Sandworms emerged from the rift. At a glance—over a dozen of them.
【Void Sandworm】: Void-Type Elite Monster
Level: 45
Description: The Void Sandworm is the nightmare of all living creatures. Massive in size and nearly undetectable while traveling through the Void, these group-based predators are among the most difficult enemies to deal with.
Zhao Tong’s heart plummeted into despair.
It’s over
