At Rosha’s side were the companions who had followed him through every battle. Each of them was a hero in the eyes of the people. Amid the sea of flowers and cheering crowds, Rosha wore a smile, but his brow remained slightly furrowed.

Compared to the people’s fervent celebrations, he himself was not entirely at ease. Though he had once again slain a Void Lord and annihilated a Void Legion, he knew too well—this was just the tip of the iceberg.

The Void Army was far stronger than he had imagined.

“Rosha, what’s wrong?” a soft, melodious voice asked. Rosha turned and saw a breathtakingly beautiful woman with flowing golden hair looking at him with concern. It was Princess Audrey, the Holy Light Mage of the Capet Empire—and his fiancée.

“I’m fine,” Rosha forced a smile, shaking his head gently before waving to the crowds.

No matter what, this was still a victory worth celebrating. The world of Hydra had endured too much darkness. The people had been drowning in despair for far too long. It was time to give them hope once again.

Audrey looked at him with growing concern. She knew her fiancé was shouldering far more than he let on.

After the parade, Rosha wasted no time. Another war council was quickly assembled.

The palace square of the Capet Empire had been converted into a temporary meeting hall. Around a massive round table sat representatives from every major force: human kingdoms, elven courts, dwarven clans, lizardfolk dignitaries.

Ever since Rosha’s rise, the capital had effectively become the center of Hydra. Leaders from across the world had gathered here, standing united beneath Rosha’s banner.

In stark contrast to the joyful crowds still celebrating outside the palace, the atmosphere here was tense. These high-ranking leaders all understood a grim truth—despite the recent victories, Hydra remained the weaker side in this war.

Weaker by a lot.

The endless tide of void armies was enough to make anyone despair. Every soldier Hydra lost was irreplaceable. Elven forces were elite, but their population was small and their birthrate extremely low.

Even among humans, whose reproduction was considered decent, it took at least fifteen years to raise a trained soldier. After two centuries of constant warfare, Hydra’s blood had been all but drained dry.

Of the Ten Great Elven Kingdoms, only three remained. The human nations had lost over half their territory, and their total population had shrunk to less than half of what it once was.

As for the dwarves, their pride and stubbornness had led many ancient clans to perish defending their fortresses during the early war. Their numbers now totaled less than a million—on the brink of extinction.

To make matters worse, every policy and resource had to be devoted to war. There was no time to rest, no chance to rebuild. It had become a vicious cycle.

Fortunately, Rosha’s emergence had brought a flicker of hope. With his repeated slaying of Void Lords, the enemy’s offensive momentum had finally been slowed. Hydra had a chance to breathe again.

While Hydra rejoiced in fragile hope, far away in the Haithern Demon City, a massive void starship slowly emerged from the rift. Lilian, the Blood Witch and commander of the Blood Legion, stood with her Void Marshals in stunned silence, their eyes fixed on the overwhelming structure descending before them.

They knelt instinctively.

They knew—the prince had arrived.

A terrifying aura swept across the land, heavy with pressure not just from sheer power, but from bloodline suppression. Qin Xian, accompanied by the Calamity Witch Alwen, appeared within Hydra.

Lilian trembled as she gazed at him. That suffocating aura of death made her soul tremble. The suppression came from the very depths of her being. Though she had never seen him before, Lilian instantly understood—this was none other than the prince.

Only a Void Overlord could descend with such terrifying might.

“Your Highness…” Lilian knelt, her voice filled with awe. “Commander Lilian of the Blood Legion welcomes your arrival.” She glanced respectfully at Alwen. “Lord Alwen.”

Though also a Void Lord, Lilian had met Alwen before. But the Calamity Witch’s status far surpassed hers. Seeing how close Alwen now was to Qin Xian, Lilian couldn’t help but feel a wave of envy. The gap between them was growing ever wider.

Qin Xian remained expressionless as he looked over the kneeling void forces. “Stand.”

He deliberately suppressed his aura. If he hadn’t, the Void Lords might have endured it, but the Void Marshals and the countless void beasts present wouldn’t even have been able to remain standing.

“Lilian, tell me about this Hero—Rosha,” Qin Xian said, a curious light flickering in his eyes.

The reason he had come to Hydra… was almost entirely because of Rosha. He wanted to know—in a world without system data—could there still exist a true Child of Destiny?
