As soon as I spotted Lila, there were two reasons why I immediately approached her.

The first was because I’d dated her mother in the past and I’d always harbored intentions of sexually harassing her.

"Where’s your mother now?" I asked returning my attention to the choking young girl in front of me.

"Oh..." seeing her face had grown noticeably paler, and she was on the verge of passing out, I realised I might have done it a little too much.

I immediately loosened my grip on her throat and Lila immediately collapsed to the ground, coughing violently and gasping for breath.

Despite her intense coughing, I glanced below and upon closer look, I could see a slimy stream of her fluids dripping down her thighs.

"No matter what you do I’d never tell you where my mother is!" Lila said with resolve in her eyes.

"Is that so?" I stared into her eyes with a look of interest.

Seeing her resolve still shining resolutely in her eyes, it only made me intrigued.

I wanted to see just how much her limits lie.

’Should I test it out?’ I mused internally, feeling my dark fantasies beginning to spring to life.

’Before that, there’s something I’m curious about.’

"What awakened abilities do you possess?" I asked curiously, still holding her arm.

Lila’s eyes flickered to her surroundings for a moment before settling on mine.

"Take off my watch if you want to find out..."

Hearing her words I glanced down at her wrist, just as she had said, a watch rested there, and it looked completely ordinary, but it emitted a soft red glow.

"It’s an ability limiting watch given by the enforcers to keep all awakened ones who wish to live a normal life in check."

"Hmmm..." I was taken aback by her explanation, "why are you telling me all this?"

Lila fell silent.

Her gaze soon returned back to me when she felt something tugging at her wrist.

Feeling the watch come off, she let out a breath.

She could finally feel something she hadn’t felt in almost an eternity...

Mana...

She breathed it in like it was fresh air. She could sense her strength returning back to her at an alarming rate.

"Ha... haha..." she laughed and instantly thrust her palm forward causing a burst of red flames to roar violently in my direction.

Whoosh...

I calmly sidestepped and casually caught her wrist causing Lila to stare at me with a dumbfounded look.

’It seems I overdid it...’ I muttered internally with a shake of my head.

Not fully knowing how strong awakened were, I quickly maxed out all my stats till they were above 100 using the system.

The result...

Lila appeared excruciatingly slow that I could instantly knock her out before the flames finished forming in her fist.

"How did you do that?" Lila stared at me with a look of shock plastered across her facial features.

She was an exalted rank 1 awakened who should have been far stronger than any ordinary human!

Normally, she had a combat power of 120, whereas an ordinary human’s combat power only capped at 40.

Sensing no ounce of mana in the man before her, she expected to overpower him completely, however she was dumbfounded by the results.

I took a moment to adjust my disoriented state to my new found strength before glancing back at her.

"How do you measure your strength compared to other awakened in the city?" I asked curiously.

Lila hesitated for a moment before answering truthfully.

"I’m currently a ranked 1 awakened. However there are several rank 4 awakened. If I’m to gauge my strength compared to them, they would be able to defeat 100 of me together."

Hearing her words I silently contemplated if I could defeat 100 of her in a battle.

Coming to a conclusion internally I realised just how strong I’d become.

’So I can be considered the strongest person in the city?’

Despite the thought, I didn’t get overconfident.

Maybe when I’m bored I’d head out to fight, or something, but for now...

I didn’t forget my true purpose in life... sexual satisfaction.

"I recall you mentioned no matter what I do you’d never tell me where your mother was?" I asked, casually letting go of Lila’s hand.

"You... what are you trying to do?" Lila saw the faint amused smile at the corner of my lips and she felt a bad premonition.

"Nothing much..." I said with a shrug as my hand moved to her throat at a speed she couldn’t react to.

One moment my hand rested at my side, the next instant it was clamping down hard on her throat.

"I’m just gonna fuck your brains out and see if you can still keep your mouth shut..."

The moment I finished my statement, Lila’s eyes widened in alarm and disbelief.
