"These little tools are really well made." Liu Chengyi observed the items in the display cases. "They're almost indistinguishable from real surgical instruments. Even the suture sizes and numbers are accurate."

"You know a lot about this?" Xu Ruosi glanced at him. "Were you a doctor before?"

"No, but I worked in medical equipment for a while." Liu Chengyi said. "You don't need to eat pork to know what a pig looks like. This stuff is basic knowledge."

"Then your basic knowledge is way too broad." Xiao Ling said. "You recognize every single tool."

Liu Chengyi shot him an unfriendly look. "If you're looking for trouble, I'm happy to oblige. No need for the passive-aggressive tone!"

Xiao Ling was actually more composed than before. He just shrugged and said nothing more.

Entering from the hall, they found a considerable number of therapy rooms inside. They were called therapy rooms, but they looked more like wards. Each room had an individual hospital bed and a series of medical tools, mostly surgical in nature, equipped with anesthesia machines and oxygen equipment.

Some rooms, in addition to the tool arrangements, had mannequins set up for demonstration purposes. But the demonstrations had virtually nothing to do with the medical tools provided. Instead, they used long steel needles-either piercing through hands and feet to pin victims to the hospital bed, or stuck all over the body like a human porcupine.

"Now I finally understand what Needle Mountain means," Long Aotian said. "So it's actually needles stacked up like a mountain. Has nothing to do with therapy at all."

"Relax, it's just a game project." Long Aotian said. "Sun Museum City was originally built as a horror-themed amusement park. It's not surprising it turned out like this."

The group searched thoroughly but again found no possible corpses.

After coming up empty-handed, Xie Ling said, "Maybe the pavilions only truly open at night?"

The Wax Figure Hall was normal during the day. If they hadn't entered the Horror Room and come out before dark, they would never have discovered that the hall turned living people into wax figures, and naturally wouldn't have found the corpses buried deep underground.

The Mannequin Building, the Insane Prison, and now Needle Mountain Therapy-three places already with zero leads.

"Anyway, it's getting dark. Why don't we wait until night?" Xiao Ling observed Xu Huo's expression. "If things go wrong, we can still leave in time."

Xu Huo agreed. Although the pavilion's setup did reveal some content, it contradicted the motives of the merchant who built Sun Museum City.

He suggested going to the neighboring Doll Clothing Store next. Before it got completely dark, they could finish checking out this pavilion too. If something happened at night, at least they wouldn't be going in blind.

No one objected, so the group left the Therapy Pavilion and entered the Clothing Store.

The Clothing Store was much larger than the Therapy Pavilion-a two-story building with dolls placed or hung on every counter and wall. There were also experience tools for sewing doll clothing inside.

Xiao Ling frowned as he walked in. He chopped a row of half-arm-length dolls on the counter into two pieces. The fluff masses squeezed out, folding the dolls at ninety-degree angles, their bellies bulging upward, looking extremely bizarre.

Xu Huo also examined these dolls. Some were made with fluff masses and other filling materials, others from silicone, plastic, and such. They came in various types and sizes, and were quite realistic.

"I used to play dress-up games when I was little." Xie Ling picked up a doll and put clothes on it. "So many dolls-almost every little girl's dream."

"Your little girl dreams are way too weird. How can you like such strange things? One or two is fine..." Long Aotian looked around. "Doesn't it creep you out having so many different colored eyes staring at you?"

"They're not real eyes. They're usually just glued on." Xie Ling went to poke at the eye sockets of the doll she'd just dressed. Unexpectedly, what came off wasn't a sticker but a lifelike eyeball.

"What the hell!" She immediately threw the thing away. The round ball rolled to Xu Huo's feet. He picked it up and squeezed it. "Silicone product. Probably wedged into the doll's eye socket."

With that, he took the doll Xu Ruosi had picked up and pressed the eyeball back in.

"Some dolls have stitching marks on their bodies." Yu Guangnan was violently dismembering dolls, with a pile of doll remains already accumulating beside him. "They were cut open and then sewn back together after being made. Nothing hidden inside."

Xu Huo and the others picked up nearby dolls to examine and found that at least one-tenth of them were like this.

"Deliberately damaging the dolls... is there a special purpose?" Xu Ruosi said. "If they put the stitching scars on the face, at least it could scare little kids."

"Maybe there's no special meaning." Liu Chengyi said. "For a horror-themed amusement park, props don't always need to be too refined. Like haunted house props-buying some old puppets or discarded clothing and accessories can save costs while enhancing the atmosphere. These dolls might have come from that."

This was a practical perspective. Aside from this, there didn't seem to be any other good explanation.

As usual, they searched all the display cases upstairs and downstairs. Finding no clues, they were about to head down when Xiao Ling suddenly stopped. "Did any of you move that big one?"

He was referring to a human-sized doll in the corner-blonde hair, blue eyes, wearing a plaid skirt. It was now facing them.

"Something wrong?" Long Aotian chopped the doll's head off from a distance. The soft fluff mass bounced twice on the floor before stopping, the back of its head facing them.

Xiao Ling frowned. "Maybe I was mistaken."

"Don't scare people. What exactly did you see?" Xie Ling's voice wavered.

"If you saw something, just say it," Yu Guangnan said. "It might be a clue."

Somewhat irritated, Xiao Ling said, "I felt like it was watching us."

He had checked that life-sized doll earlier. Afterward, he'd laid it on its side so it wasn't facing the room directly. But when they were about to leave, it had turned itself upright again.

Xu Huo walked over, picked up the doll's head, and examined it. "Doesn't seem like a special item. But keeping an eye out won't hurt."

As he spoke, he used the doll's hair to tie it to the corner of a display case. However, just as he straightened up, an iron skewer came flying from nowhere, grazing the back of his head and embedding itself in the cabinet beside him!

Everyone turned around in unison. But the pavilion was completely silent. Both sides were packed with display cases filled with all kinds of dolls. Perhaps because of the rough searching, they were tilted and leaning against the shelves, their eyes uniformly fixed on Xu Huo and the others.

It wasn't their imagination-because every single doll, front and back, had turned its head!
