With a sudden burst of movement, Mewtwo vanished.
Its afterimage was still lingering in its original position when its real body had already appeared directly in front of Rosemon.
Its speed was so absurd that it almost seemed to have crossed space itself.
Rosemon didn't even have time to react.
All she felt was an intense burst of pain.
Mewtwo held absolutely nothing back.
Its Fire Punch struck Rosemon squarely in the abdomen.
The tremendous force bent Rosemon's body into a bow.
Then the scorching flames erupted violently.
Her entire body was engulfed in fire.
Within the dazzling blaze, only Rosemon's silhouette could be seen twisting in pain.
When the flames finally dispersed...
Rosemon's entire body had been scorched black.
She fell straight toward the ground.
Thud!
Rosemon collapsed and lost consciousness.
Just one attack.
That was all it had taken for Rosemon to completely lose the ability to battle.

The remaining five Digimon felt their eyelids twitch.
The pressure on them had become even greater.
As for the spectators...
After personally witnessing that scene, they felt as though the sky itself were collapsing around them.

"We're finished! We're probably going to die here today!"
Countless people began talking at once.
While they were utterly shocked by what they had just witnessed, they also realized something terrifying.
The scales of victory had now completely tipped toward Mewtwo.
Once it finished dealing with those Digimon...
It would be their turn.
The thought of what was likely to happen next transformed the spectators' previous excitement over attending such an incredible tournament into regret and anxiety.
They should have just stayed home and watched the live broadcast!
Now they were in serious trouble.
They might even lose their lives because of it.
That queen-like Digimon Mewtwo had just defeated...
Rosemon had been able to maintain the upper hand against Entei despite being at a type disadvantage.
And yet now...
A single Fire Punch had knocked her unconscious and completely eliminated her from the battle.
The difference was simply too enormous.
There was only one conclusion.
The powerful Pokémon before them was vastly stronger than even Entei.
The six-on-one battle had finally developed a crack.
And once Mewtwo tore that opening wider...
The fragile balance that had existed until now completely collapsed.
Mewtwo grew increasingly fierce as the battle continued.
It repeatedly switched between its two Mega forms.
Long-range attacks.
Close combat.
It alternated between them freely.
Its experienced and highly refined fighting style made things miserable for the remaining five Digimon.
Fortunately...
These Digimon had personally been evolved by Shiko using data energy.
Their overall strength was somewhat greater than that of ordinary Mega-level Digimon of the same species.
By gritting their teeth and desperately holding on...
They somehow managed to avoid another immediate defeat.
But anyone with experience could see the truth.
The battle had already reached this point...
And they were running on fumes.
Perhaps in the very next moment...
Their stamina would fail.
Their energy would run dry.
And they would collapse unconscious, completely unable to continue fighting.
