As Salandit was a witness, Officer Jenny needed to take him to the police station as well.

Before she left, Julian took some food from his pocket.

"Salandit will probably have to stay at the police station for quite some time. This food can be used as his rations. From what I saw earlier, he seems to really like the food I make."

Seeing the Pokémon food, Salandit nodded excitedly several times.

This was good.

The food Julian made was indeed the most delicious thing Salandit had ever eaten in his life.

Officer Jenny nodded.

"I really didn’t consider that."

After Officer Jenny drove away on her motorcycle, Julian crouched down and stroked Wooper, who had silently stayed beside him the whole time.

Cool and smooth. It actually felt quite nice.

"Let’s go, Wooper. Thank you for your hard work. We’ll send you back."

Julian smiled.

"Eevee, lead the way!"

Eevee nodded and marched proudly at the front.

"Eevee! Eevee! Eevee!"

When they returned to Wooper’s base, Azurill and the other four had already woken up and were happily gathered around the food Julian had left behind, eating heartily.

They were loyal enough to have left a portion for Wooper too.

Seeing Wooper return, they immediately called him over to eat.

When they saw Eevee had come too, they each separated a little from their own rations.

Gathered together, it was even more than what they had left for themselves. They called Eevee over to eat with them too.

They really were a group of kind Pokémon.

Eevee shook his head, turned around, and pounced into Julian’s arms.

He proudly raised his head.

"Eevee!"

Julian took out all the food left in his pocket.

"I still have quite a lot here. You can keep it and eat slowly."

Looking at the large bag he took out, Azurill and the others cried out in surprise!

Such delicious food, and this human actually had so much of it.

So when Eevee said he could eat delicious food until he was full every day, it was actually true!

No wonder Eevee gave them all the food he found.

Julian smiled.

"Eevee and I live over there."

He scratched Eevee’s chin, and Eevee let out a happy purr.

"Eevee, remember to invite your friends to come play at home tomorrow."

Eevee nodded.

"Vee!"

In truth, Eevee had wanted to invite Wooper and the others to the Gym for a long time, but the reason they had survived while wandering through the city was by forming as few connections with humans as possible.

Without human kindness, they could still survive.

But if they encountered human malice, they could very likely be harmed.

After interacting with Eevee, they had discovered that Eevee was a good Pokémon.

And after interacting with Julian just now, the affinity he gave off made Venonat and Exeggcute confirm at first glance that he was a kind person.

All five Pokémon had their own special skills.

After receiving confirmation from Venonat and Exeggcute, they dared to visit Julian’s home as guests.

Wooper had even personally followed him during the operation and saw how Julian treated Salandit, confirming that this was a good human.

After saying goodbye to Wooper and the others, Julian returned to Veilstone Gym’s backyard.

He had gone out for more than an hour, yet when he returned, he discovered that Hakamo-o and Primeape were actually still roaring and battling.

They had far too much energy.

Croagunk was still barely holding on, but his punches were already weak.

Lucario sat beneath the tree, clearly somewhat irritated.

Obviously, Lucario had not sensed the tree’s Aura.

"Lucario, rest for a while. Aura training requires patience."

Julian had taught Sir Aaron the Psychic meditation method.

Sir Aaron combined that with his own original training method to create a meditation method suitable for Aura.

However, it had very high requirements for one’s state of mind.

Cynthia’s Lucario had not tempered his heart nearly enough.

Aura was not a power that could be rapidly improved through battle.

The more anxious one became, the harder it was to train.

It was almost the complete opposite of the training methods Lucario usually came into contact with.

Since Lucario’s heart was not calm, Julian could not teach him the Aura meditation method yet.

He went to Croagunk’s side.

"Croagunk, Goodra is very tired. Let her rest for a while."

Goodra cooperatively nodded.

Only then did Croagunk stop, gasping for breath as he recovered his stamina.

In truth, Goodra was not tired at all.

Even Goodra, who had fought her way through the Hisui era, felt that Croagunk’s insane training attitude was a little too extreme.

After staying in the Great Marsh for several years, Goodra had basically come to understand the situation of this era through the migratory birds passing through the wetlands.

With humans transforming the land of Sinnoh, even the wild forests were now managed by human rangers.

They planted Berries and provided Pokémon with sufficient food.

Croagunk did not fight to survive.

He fought only to obtain honour.

Yet he was still this obsessed.

Goodra completely could not understand it.

Julian had told her that winning the Gym Ranking Tournament would provide enough money to build a greenhouse and fill it with red lotus fruit.

Goodra was willing to fight for that.

But during their battle just now, she had asked Croagunk why he trained so desperately.

Did Croagunk have something he wanted?

In the end, Croagunk did not have anything he wanted.

He only wanted to win!

Croagunk enjoyed victory, enjoyed glory, and hated defeat.

Julian beckoned to Hakamo-o and Primeape.

"You two come here too. Eat something and rest."

The best supplement for recovering strength after training was naturally Julian’s special Pokémon food!

Torchic had finished training long ago and was hiding in the corner to rest.

As soon as he heard food, Torchic’s head immediately shot up.

His gaze sharpened, and he rushed to Julian at top speed.

"Torchic!"

Julian smiled.

"All right. I’ll prepare yours first."

After eating a little, Gallade and Sirfetch’d returned to the training field, continuing the swordsmanship training they had not finished earlier.

After evolving, Sirfetch’d’s swordsmanship level had risen rapidly.

Gallade saw Sirfetch’d’s potential and believed Sirfetch’d had the ability to become a great swordmaster no weaker than himself!

To better sharpen Sirfetch’d and give himself an opponent with whom he could spar in swordsmanship, Gallade attacked heavily.

Even without using moves, Gallade’s Sharpness made his blades filled with edge.

Relying on his shield, Sirfetch’d barely supported himself amid Gallade’s waltz of sharp blades.

Sirfetch’d was like a stubborn rock. No matter how Gallade attacked, he refused to fall.

In order to break Sirfetch’d, Gallade’s own swordsmanship was also continuously transforming, gradually approaching perfection.

That was just how Gallade was. Whatever he did, he wanted to do it perfectly, leaving no flaws.

His swordsmanship also carried a perfectionist style.

Like the finest tailor in the world, the dense stitches left no gap at all.

Instead, he threaded the needle through every opening, attacking constantly and searching for the enemy’s weaknesses.

Julian stroked his chin.

He remembered that the Trainer forum seemed to have mentioned several dojos that inherited swordsmanship styles.

Perhaps he could take Gallade and Sirfetch’d there to ask for guidance.

Only by coming into contact with more swordsmanship schools could their swordsmanship become even more advanced.
