Chapter 25: Chapter 25: Hiding It

Cynthia ran out of the room.

Only after her emotions settled did she take out her phone and call Professor Rowan.

"Cynthia, you haven’t called me in quite some time. How have you been recently? When are you planning to challenge for the Champion position?"

Cynthia smiled.

"I plan to officially begin my challenge for the Champion title at this year’s Champion League Tournament. I’m confident I can take the title in one go."

A faint smile appeared on Professor Rowan’s stern face.

"Then I’ll congratulate you in advance."

Cynthia shook her head.

"Professor, I’m calling this time because I wanted to ask whether you know about Primeape’s evolution in the Paldea region."

"Annihilape, and the key to its evolution, the move Rage Fist."

Professor Rowan raised an eyebrow.

Professor Rowan’s daily work included going on television to educate the public and ordinary Trainers on exactly how much harm these so-called formulas could cause to a Pokémon’s body.

Some formulas not only failed to make Pokémon evolve, but left them permanently disabled or even killed them.

Some formulas could indeed force evolution, but at the cost of overdrawing a Pokémon’s life force.

After evolution, the Pokémon might die from physical failure within a year, half a year, or even three to five months.

If Professor Rowan said that a Pokémon’s evolution did not require special conditions, and that it only needed training to raise its energy intensity and follow its heart, then if your Pokémon still did not evolve, there was no need to doubt anything.

Cynthia was surprised too.

"A friend of mine caught a Primeape. His Primeape seems to have grasped a little of the embryonic form of Rage Fist, and he wants to perfect it."

That was true.
