It was still a tone of command.

One that permitted no refusal.

The brown-haired youth pulled out a chair, and Yu Zhizhi slowly walked over.

She sat down to the right of the "captain."

The blue-haired girl standing at the door clutched the hem of her brown skirt. She didn’t dare turn around, praying that Lord Shen He hadn’t noticed anything unusual.

Before her was a long table laden with food, but Yu Zhizhi wasn’t very hungry.

A servant brought hot tea and placed it in front of her.

It was Yu Zhizhi’s first time eating with this strange man. She was a little reserved and didn’t touch her utensils for a long while.

Shen He’s gaze swept over her simple face and landed on her collarbone. The friction from the coarse clothing had left a faint, suggestive redness on her skin.

’Such delicate skin.’

’She can’t even get used to a common servant’s uniform.’

"Why aren’t you eating?" he asked.

Yu Zhizhi picked up her fork and speared a roasted potato.

The dining hall was vast, its lights brilliant. Outside the windows lay the silent night, punctuated by the churning of the waves. The silence inside was unsettling.

To think that her hard-earned vacation was going to be spent entirely on this ship...

She bit into the potato, her expression miserable.

Shen He glanced at the little female from the Rabbit Clan. He suddenly felt like laughing. ’Is eating with me really that much of an ordeal?’

However, her matter could wait for now.

Shen He looked toward the doorway. "Mr. Buck, you and your sister can get in here now."

His tone was light, even tinged with a hint of a smile, but the word "get" was laced with a fury that sent a shiver down one’s spine.

Yu Zhizhi quickly glanced up at him. His profile was cold and sharp, his brow as if carved by a knife, and he radiated an intense pressure.

She immediately lowered her head and ate the food on her plate in silence.

At the doorway, a man in aristocratic clothing walked in, a stiff smile on his face. "My Lord, what are you talking about? What sister?"

"I hope you can keep up that tough act later."

Shen He lifted his chin slightly. The brown-haired youth at his side walked over and dragged the aristocratic man, who was shackled at the ankles, further into the room.

He kicked the back of the nobleman’s knees, forcing him to the ground.

The man trembled all over. "My Lord, I swear, the Xidi Family has served the Deep Sea for generations! We have absolutely, absolutely never done anything to betray the Empire!"

"The Xidi Family is no more," Shen He sneered, crossing his legs. His posture was languid yet domineering. "Did you think I hijacked a ship for fun because I had nothing better to do?"

Yu Zhizhi’s rabbit ears twitched.

’Hi... Hijacked a ship?’

’Are they pirates?’

’But their demeanor doesn’t fit. And that nobleman mentioned ’serving the Empire’...’ Yu Zhizhi didn’t dare to breathe too loudly. She picked up her teacup and took a small sip.

Hearing that his family had been annihilated, the nobleman’s face turned deathly pale. Gradually, fury surged in his eyes. "My Lord, even if the Xidi Family is guilty, we should be tried by the Deep Sea’s judiciary and sentenced by the King himself! You... you have no right to interfere...!"

"It is everyone’s duty to protect the homeland," Shen He said with a cold laugh. "Take that blue-haired female away for a search. Where could she possibly hide a Starship Map?"

The blue-haired girl at the door stared with wide, shocked eyes as the heretics beside her immediately seized her.

The man kneeling on the floor trembled even more violently. He knew in his heart that the man before him must have had solid intelligence to have directly slaughtered the entire Xidi Family. To capture them, all ten thousand tourists on this ship had been killed.

The man’s face was ashen, like a catfish thrashing in its death throes.

The blue-haired girl was quickly taken away, crying and shouting, "Brother, save me!—"

The girl’s cries were piercing.

The nobleman’s figure was one of utter defeat. He knew the Starship Map would be found soon. The Xidi Family was finished, and so were he and his sister.

They were both going to die horribly.

Thick hatred appeared on the nobleman’s face. He knew there was no turning back, so he decided he would take a piece out of his enemy before he died!

’To hell with the Hai Giant Shark!’

He suddenly pulled a silver weapon from his sleeve and aimed it at Shen He’s face. "Go to hell!"

It was a custom-made weapon, a Star Bomb. Its explosive power was astonishing; a thumb-sized projectile could easily obliterate an entire building.

BOOM!—

After the deafening explosion, Yu Zhizhi was so frightened she was completely frozen.

She had no time to react. The Star Bomb was too fast, streaking straight toward the man’s body!

Shen He raised his hand and caught the searing hot Star Bomb directly.

Accompanied by a deafening blast, a rain of blood and flesh instantly showered the dining table...

The right arm he had used to block the Star Bomb was blown to smithereens!

It was as if the sky was raining gore. Yu Zhizhi’s face and upper body were splattered with thick blood. There were even fresh bits of flesh on her plate...

Her stomach churned. Yu Zhizhi sat in her chair, trembling uncontrollably.

The brown-haired youth restrained the nobleman’s body, snatched the weapon from his hand, and pressed it against his temple.

He glanced at his lord.

After receiving the order, he pulled the trigger.

BANG!

The nobleman’s brains splattered as he collapsed into a pool of his own blood.

Yu Zhizhi’s face was smeared with blood. She stared blankly at the "captain" sitting beside her, his severed arm looking as though it had been put through a meat grinder.

At that moment, the man’s expression didn’t change at all. He even had a hint of a smile in his eyes as he glanced at the little female’s "pitiful" state.

The little white rabbit had been dyed red.

Her face and body were covered in his blood.

Her eyes had also turned crimson, and she was shivering so hard she couldn’t utter a single word.

Yu Zhizhi was still staring at his mangled arm, unable to process what had happened.

Then she saw new flesh slowly growing from the stump, and soon, the arm was restored to its original state. The man flexed his shoulder slightly, completely accustomed to his regenerated limb.

The body in front of the table had already been dragged away.

The food on the table was all spattered with blood and flesh, making it impossible to continue eating.

Yu Zhizhi remained in a daze.

Everything had happened too suddenly for her.

"Scared stiff?"

Shen He glanced at her.

He handed her a clean white handkerchief.

Yu Zhizhi took it, her gaze falling on his perfectly intact right arm. She thought she must be hallucinating.

Shen He followed her gaze to his own body. "Curious? Wondering why I can grow a new arm?"

Yu Zhizhi nodded.

Shen He said, "The Regeneration talent. No matter how many times my body, organs, or nerves are destroyed, they can regenerate."

...A Regeneration Talent Ability User.

’It sounds like he’s immortal.’

Yu Zhizhi wiped the blood from her face. She thought of the nobleman’s gruesome death and the girl’s piercing cries.

’Why did he specifically summon me here to watch him interrogate a prisoner?’

’Was it to make an example out of him? A warning for me?’

Yu Zhizhi’s heart suddenly trembled, and she quickly started to speak—
