Pregnant Cultivator, Doted by Big Boss
Chapter 485 - 483: Three Treasure ToadsChapter 485: Chapter 483: Three Treasure Toads
"You wretched sorceress. I wasn’t even looking for you, and yet you’ve delivered yourself right to my door."
"Today is the day you die."
Kaelan’s voice echoed from high in the sky.
The moment he finished speaking, another voice rang out in fury. "You insolent whelp! You murdered my beloved daughter. Today, I will see your Divine Soul utterly annihilated to avenge her spirit!"
Hearing this, Kaelan let out a laugh dripping with mockery. "Hahaha... What spirit? Your daughter was obliterated, reduced to dust. There’s nothing left of her." His voice turned cold as he paused for a beat. "But don’t you worry, you old hag. You’ll soon share her fate."
"You insolent whelp! How dare you!"
The two figures in the sky moved with incredible speed, clashing in a flurry of motion. Halos of Magic in every conceivable color flashed back and forth, punctuated by the sharp clang of Weapons colliding.
The Cultivators watching from outside the battlefield felt a chill run down their spines. ’Is this what a battle between the truly powerful looks like?’ The auras of the two combatants were terrifyingly strong. If not for the Barrier that had suddenly appeared, the sheer force radiating from their clash would have been enough to obliterate their very souls.
The few with higher Cultivation could make out their figures, but those with lower Cultivation could only see two streaks of colored light flashing across the sky, colliding again and again.
Celeste Grant stood her ground, gazing up at the sky. As she casually cracked open a sunflower seed and spat out the shell, she couldn’t help but remark, "You know, this reminds me of that old saying: ’a battle that darkens the heavens and blots out the earth.’ We’re seeing that phrase made real right now. The ancient language really is profound. I just wonder if Kaelan can actually win this."
Hearing this, Javier Sinclair glanced at the two combatants and said softly, "He can win, as long as the others who are hiding don’t interfere."
"Huh?" Celeste Grant paused, her gaze shifting to Javier Sinclair. "Others who are hiding? You’re saying there are more of them?"
"Mm-hmm," Javier Sinclair affirmed.
He elaborated, "They’re from the Golden Crow Clan."
"The Golden Crow Clan again?" She glanced back toward the sky. "So how many of them are here this time?"
Javier Sinclair replied, "Besides the woman, three others have come."
Just as Celeste Grant was talking with Javier Sinclair, the two combatants in the sky clashed once more, and the resulting shockwave sent them both flying backward. In that instant, Kaelan was thrown back so hard he spat blood. But his opponent fared no better; his Sword Qi had sliced her arm open, leaving a gash so deep the bone was visible.
"AARGH! You insolent whelp! How dare you!"
"Hmph! Die, you old hag!"
His nemesis was right before him, and Kaelan’s eyes were crimson with bloodlust.
In that moment, all he wanted was her life. All he wanted was to avenge his fallen kinsmen.
As his voice faded, Kaelan, his hair flying wildly, charged forward once more. In a flash, he was before the woman, Blackeye. His sword, radiating immense power, came crashing down toward the top of her head.
Even Blackeye, who had come from the Lower Realm, hadn’t anticipated such power. Her eyes filled with resentment and jealousy. ’How long has it been? How could that bitch’s son have gotten so strong? No wonder my daughter died at his hands.’
"You worthless bastard, you dare—"
Kaelan’s response was a sword strike thick with killing intent, cleaving straight down at her.
Under the weight of this power, Blackeye felt her Divine Soul tremble.
’This suffocating pressure... I’ve only ever felt it from my husband, the Divine Monarch. I can’t believe Kaelan’s Cultivation has already reached such a realm.’
As the sword descended, Blackeye hastily cast a defensive Magic, but she was still sent flying backward, spitting blood.
This time, she failed to stabilize herself and plummeted straight into the river below. She hit the water with a massive splash, and the river’s surface didn’t calm until a long while later.
Celeste Grant raised a hand to shield her eyes, peering into the river.
"Wow, that Gloomy Gus Kaelan is actually this strong? It must be that Elixir Pill that boosted his combat power. If he was Kaelan v1.0 before, he’s at least v5.0 now. His power has multiplied several times over."
Javier Sinclair nodded slightly. "Judging by his bone age, he’s only a little over a thousand years old. To reach this level of Cultivation at his age is quite impressive."
"A little over a thousand?" Celeste Grant murmured, then chuckled. "Ever since I started down the path of Cultivation, it feels like ’age’ is always measured in thousands of years." As she spoke, her gaze returned to the sky.
Kaelan was still hovering in the air, longsword in hand, looking quite imposing. ’If this were a novel,’ she thought, ’he’d definitely be the protagonist.’
Mulling this over, she couldn’t help but say, "To think a powerhouse like him was hiding in our Demonic Domain all this time. With his level of power, he’d be considered formidable even in Empyria. A talent like that, and he’s the son of the Golden Crow Clan’s Divine Monarch. Even if he didn’t inherit the Golden Crow Bloodline, he’s still his biological son. How could that Divine Monarch just let his wife’s clan be slaughtered and his own son be hunted down? Is the man out of his mind?"
At that moment,
Celeste Grant sighed, lost in thought.
For every parent in the world who adores their children, there are always a few who are unworthy of the title.
Javier Sinclair explained, "The Golden Crow Clan places immense importance on their bloodline. Since he didn’t inherit the Golden Crow Bloodline, he wasn’t valued."
"I know, right?" Celeste Grant nodded. "How can any lineage be more important than your own child?"
"You’re right," Javier Sinclair readily agreed. "They are utterly dogmatic. Even among the Elder Dragons, the saying goes that a dragon’s nine sons will each be different. And yet, here they are, still clinging to their so-called ’pure’ Golden Crow Bloodline."
As the couple was murmuring to each other, a loud SPLASH erupted from the river’s surface. A figure with drenched, matted hair broke through the water, which was stained red with blood. Her hair was plastered to her skin, making her look like a vengeful water spirit.
The woman who had emerged from the river looked up at the male Cultivator hovering in the air, slapping the surface of the water as she roared in fury. "Damn you! You worthless bastard, how dare you act so brazenly! I never should have let you escape all those years ago!"
Then she screamed to the empty air, "What are you all waiting for?! Kill him!"
In response to her cry, three figures materialized in the empty sky. The moment they appeared, even the Cultivators outside the battlefield instinctively took two steps back. If not for the Barrier, the sheer force of their presence would have crushed them to their knees.
After they appeared, the leader took a step forward, treading on empty air. "Insolence! Surrender at once!"
At the sound of his voice, Kaelan’s gaze swept over them coldly. "You old relics. You’ve finally decided to show yourselves."
These three were senior members of the Golden Crow Clan, one of whom was an Elder. They held a lofty status within the clan. Even their Lord had to show them a degree of deference.
