Primordial Red Goblin

Then I unloaded their new beds.

"This room is where all of you will sleep for now. You can get coin from Sister Lilly so all of you can take the new guys to the bathhouse." I said.

"Aye sir." He said.

I went back upstairs and we remained at the house for the rest of the day.

The next morning Ginger and I put on our combat gear. The girls lined up by the door as I left and I kissed all eighteen of them before I left.

"We will be back tonight." I said before leaving.

Ginger and I entered the forest and began hunting. Since I didn’t have to protect four wives and two sisters we were able cover more distance. When we found goblins Ginger was able to help without me needing to bring them to her one at a time since she was seven levels higher than Sarah and the others. We found a goblin den before midday and cleared it in less than thirty minutes. Ginger helped kill the goblins outside the cave and stood guard over the entrance while I went inside and cleared it out. When we were finished we quickly ate lunch before leaving the cave and continuing our hunt. We hunted for several more hours but didn’t find anymore goblins or orcs before returning to the city.

Once we returned to the city we went home to the orphanage.

"We have some news for you." Sarah said as I entered the orphanage.

I followed Sarah to the attic where the others were.

"What is it?" I asked.

"After you left this morning Lucy did her daily exam on us. She said my babies are girls." Nyx beamed.

"That’s fantastic news." I said as I hugged nyx.

"So now Amber, Lilly, and Nyx are having girls while the rest of us are having boys." Lucy said.

"So that is twelve boys and twelve girls so far. When we return to Sapphire City we can check Mary and see what she is having." Sarah said.

"How was everyone while I was out today?" I asked.

"Amber, Lyra and I decided to go to the training grounds with the kids today so we can get some training in. We decided we don’t want to get out of practice while we’re left behind while you go into the forest." Sarah said.

"That’s a great idea." I said.

"Also you got two more letter today." Lilly said as she handed me two letters.

I took them and looked at them. One was sealed with the Prime family seal and the other was sealed with the same symbol that was on the sister’s collars. I opened the one with the Prime seal and read it.

"Looks like my presence is requested at the arena tomorrow." I said.

"Cornelius?" Sarah asked.

"Yeah." I replied.

Then I opened the other letter and read it.

"My presence is also requested the the Goddess’s temple. By the High Priestess of the church." I added.

All of the sisters gasped.

"What?" I asked looking at them.

"The high Priestess is the highest ranking member of the church. She oversees every temple in the kingdom." Lilly said.

"I wonder what I did to get her attention." I said.

I pulled out the Law of the Prime paper again and finished reading it. I skimmed over the first part I had already read and went to the next part.

"A Primordial may not marry the child of another Primordial without the expressed permission of the Primordial parent or parents."

I looked at each woman one by one.

"None of you have any Primordial parents do you?" I asked.

They all shook their heads. I shrugged and put the paper back in my ring.

"Oh, while you were out we took the rings from the associates in the forest and sold all of their gear. All of the rings are empty now and we put them in the safe." Sarah said.

I walked over to the safe and opened it. On one of the shelves was a tray with fifty slots holding forty-nine empty storage rings.

"For all of the armor and weapons we got thirty-two gold, sixty-three silver, eighteen bronze. For everything else we got seven gold, nineteen silver, seventy-one bronze. I already put it in the safe." Sarah said.

"Not bad." I said.

I checked the coin and saw the new coin has been added and the ledger had been updated.

"Okay, since Ginger and I have been running around the forest all day we are going to the bathhouse, who wants to join us?" I asked.

"The children have just finished dinner so some of us need to stay here and put them to bed." Lilly said.

"I will stay." Ylva said.

"So will I." Alice said.

"Me too." Said Abby.

"Good, everyone else will come with me." I said.

We left the orphanage and went to the bathhouse. Inside I sat in the water and Ginger sat on my lap and began washing my hair while I closed my eyes and rested my hands on her hips.

"So what do you think Cornelius wants to talk about?" Sarah asked.

"I have no idea." I said.

"You didn’t accidentally break their Primordial law did you?" She asked.

"I don’t think so." I said.

"What about the High Priestess?" Lilly asked.

"Maybe she heard about me sponsoring two of her orphanages and wanted to thank me personally, or ask me to sponsor more of them." I said.

Ginger finished washing my hair and began washing my neck and shoulders.

"Maybe Ginger’s parents asked the family to get their daughter back from you?" Lucy asked.

Ginger’s hands stopped working momentarily before continuing.

"Maybe, but I’ve grown quite fond of being washed by her soft hands. I don’t think I’ll give her back." I said as I winked at Ginger.

Ginger blushed as she began washing my chest.

"I don’t think the family would intervene for an associate’s kidnapped kid." Ginger said.
