"You evolved?" Sarah asked when I returned.

"Yeah" I said as I sat on the branch next to her.

"Did you find people? She asked.

"Yes, and no. There were three humans but two of them were already dead before I arrived. The orcs killed the third human before I killed all the orcs." I said.

"Oh, we could have asked them how to find a city. Or at least a road that leads to a city." She said.

"We will be okay, I did search their bodies and took their armor and weapons." I said.

"Really? Let’s climb down and see what there is." She said as she wrapped her arms around my neck.

I carried her to the ground and put her down before taking all the armor out of my ring.

"Pick out what fits you then I will go through it." I said.

"You are the one doing all the fighting, shouldn’t you pick through it first?" Sarah asked.

"No. Your safety is more important to me, and I want you to have armor for when you get your swordswoman class." I said.

"You were serious about that?" She asked excitedly.

"Of course I was. If there is ever a time I can’t protect you I don’t want you to be helpless." I said.

Sarah excitedly jumped up and wrapped her arms around my neck and pressed her lips against mine. I caught her with my arms around her waist and kissed her back. After just a few seconds she quickly pulled back and let go of my neck and cleared her throat as she straightened her clothes.

"Sorry, I just got a little excited." She said.

"If that is what happens when you are only a little excited I’d love to see what happens when you get really excited." I said.

"Oh shut up." She said as she bent down to go through the armor.

She tried on several pieces and settled on a helmet and some parts for her arms and legs.

"These breast plates aren’t made for someone with actual breasts, and the plate legs are made for men with legs a lot thicker than mine, and the gauntlets are to big for my dainty little hands." She said.

"How about the weapons? Anything you like?" I asked.

She looked at the swords and picked a short sword.

"The others are too heavy, I’ll use this one." She said.

"Okay, if that’s what you want." I said as I picked through the armor.

I chose the biggest breastplate which was still too small, none of the gauntlets fit my hands, the longest set of plate legs that were also too short, and the best fitting arm guards.

"All of this is too small, but I’ll have to make it work for now." I said.

After putting everything back into the storage ring we started walking again. Sarah put her hand back in mine and put her head on my shoulder as we walked. We walked for several hours before we were able to see a break in the trees. We got closer and saw a road. I picked Sarah up and put her on my back as I climbed the tallest tree I could find. Once at the top of the tree we could see the road for several miles in both directions. To our left we could see the faint outline of a city. I carried Sarah back to the ground and we walked parallel to the road in the direction of the city while remaining hidden in the forest. The closer we got to the city the more excited Sarah became. The more excited she became the tighter her grip on my hand became. Suddenly she stopped and looked up at me.

"I thought of a name for you. Erik, and your surname could be Red." Sarah said.

I couldn’t help but laugh at the name due to the history of Erik the Red back on earth before I came to this world.

"That sounds good, I like it." I said. I opened my status window and put the name in.

"There, my name is now Erik Red." I said.

"Yay." Sarah squealed excitedly. By the time we were close enough to the city it was late evening and the city gates had already been closed for the day.

"Looks like you will have to wait until tomorrow for your shopping trip." I said.

"That’s okay. That will give me more time to shop before I have to come back with your armor." She said.

"So you will be coming back? You’re not going to go in there and forget about me?" I asked.

"What? How could you say that? I told you I would marry you. I have been holding your hand all day, I even kissed you too." She said.

"Okay okay, I’m sorry. I was just making sure." I said.

"So how much coin are you going to give me to shop for your armor?" She asked.

"Do you think ten gold would be enough for a good set of armor?" I asked.

Sarah gasped as her jaw dropped.

"You have ten gold?" She asked.

"No, I have more than that. Will it be enough? Or should I give you more?" I asked.

"I don’t know, it might be enough but I’ve never shopped for armor before." She said

"Okay, let’s eat something and then go to sleep so you can rest before your big shopping trip." I said.

I took some food out of the ring and I sat against a tree. Sarah sat on my lap sideways leaning against my chest as we ate. After we ate we removed the armor pieces we had put on to be more comfortable while we slept and stored it in my ring. Then I carried Sarah up the tree and sat down with her on my lap. She sat sideways again. She put her hand on my cheek and kissed me. "Goodnight Erik." She said.
