Primordial Red Goblin

Chapter 48: Gifts For The Sisters

I paid the two gold. I took Amber’s and Lyra’s engagement rings out of the box and slid the rings onto their fingers. We left the shop and returned to the hotel where I removed my armor.

"I have nowhere to go and nothing to do today. Unless you want to take Amber and Lyra to the shop to get their wedding dresses." I said to Sarah.

"Do you girls want to go back to the dress shop today?" Sarah asked.

"Maybe later." Lyra said.

"Maybe we can go tomorrow." Amber said.

"Okay." Sarah shrugged.

I sat on the bed and leaned back against the wall. Lyra hopped up onto the bed and slid behind me with her legs around me and my back against her chest. Amber climbed onto my lap and leaned against my chest before grabbing my hands and wrapping my arms around her.

"We can always explore the city and visit different shops." Sarah said.

"Isn’t there anything fun do to in this place?" I asked.

"I don’t know, mother and I never really had any coin to spend on fun stuff." Lucy said.

"How about we visit the orphanage after lunch?" I asked.

"That sounds nice. They should be delivering the new beds already." Sarah said.

After half an hour of sitting in the room the meal service arrived with lunch and we ate before leaving and walking to the orphanage. As we walked I noticed Lucy, Amber, and Lyra had taken off their collars.

"How does it feel to not have to wear a collar anymore?" I asked.

"It’s nice. The collar you got me was cute but now I have the ring set you bought to show who I belong to." Lucy said showing off her engagement ring.

"I never imagined being set free, taking it off felt so freeing." Lyra said.

"I like my collar. But being able to take it off whenever I want is awesome." Amber giggled.

When we arrived at the orphanage one of the sisters were outside and saw us coming. She ran inside and came back out with sister Lilly.

"Mister Red we weren’t expecting you back so soon. I am afraid we haven’t finished the list you asked for." She admitted.

"That’s okay. We haven’t come for that. We had some free time and thought we would come see the progress. Have any of the new beds been delivered yet?" I asked.

"Yes sir. Half of them have been delivered and set up. The delivery men went back to retrieve the rest of them." She explained.

She led us into the building and took us to the second floor to see the beds. All of the beds on this floor had been replaced and two of the sisters were busy putting the new sheets and blankets on them.

"How about you and the other sisters? Do you need anything?" I asked.

"How do you mean?" She asked.

"I bought the children new beds, clothes, toys, and books but I didn’t buy anything for the sisters. The five of you take care of the children, who takes care of you?" I asked.

She put her hands over her mouth and inhaled sharply.

"Mister Red you have already done so much you don’t need to do that." She said.

"I know I don’t need to. Where do the sisters sleep?" I asked.

"We sleep in the attic. It’s been converted into a sleeping area for the sisters." She said.

"Would it be too much to ask to see it?" I asked.

"I would have to ask the other sisters first." She said.

We followed her downstairs and she gathered all the sisters together and told her about my request to see their sleeping area. They allowed it and we followed all the sisters to the attic. It was a large open area split into five sections with partitions dividing the sections for privacy. They showed us each section. They had no beds, only old cots to sleep on. Each sister only had two dresses. One to wear and one to change into while the other was being washed. They only had one pair of shoes, the ones on their feet.

"I want you to add something to the list." I said.

"What is that?" Lilly asked.

"Walls. I want this attic to be properly separated into five separate rooms so you each have your own personal space." I said.

All five sisters gasped.

"Now the five of you will come with me to the shop. I am getting all of you some new clothes." I said.

"Mister Red. Why are you doing this?" Lilly asked.

"Because you deserve it and because you won’t spend donated funds on yourselves." I said.

The sisters followed us to the dress shop while two of them carried the two children too young for school. They were all wearing Grey dresses with matching hoods. I noticed two of the sisters were beast-kin but I couldn’t tell what kind because their ears were covered and their tails were hidden under their dresses.

"Are you sisters restricted by your faith regarding what you are allowed to wear?" I asked as we walked.

"As long as it remains modest and not provocative it’s fine." Lilly said.

"So something like what my women are wearing would be fine?" I asked.

Lilly looked at the dresses Sarah and the others were wearing.

"Yes, they aren’t wearing anything that flaunts their bodies and everything is covered. Those dresses are acceptable for sisters of the Goddess." She said.

"What about the beast-kin sisters?" I asked.

"What do you mean?" She replied.

"Are they required to cover their tails like that? It’s can’t be comfortable." I said.

"No they can wear clothing with slits for their tails but these clothes were donated to us so we made do." She said.

We arrived at the shop and approached the counter.

"I will give you sisters the same I gave the children. Seven dresses each and two pair of shoes for each of you." I said.

"Really?" She asked.
