Primordial Red Goblin

Chapter 63: New Beds And Tables

-PoV: Sister Lilly-

I opened my eyes and sat up. Looking around I saw Mister Red and his wives sleeping in their bed. Then I looked down and sighed. Even while wearing this nightgown my entire body is visible. The other sisters woke up and we all got up and put on the dresses Mister Red bought us. Miss Sarah still hasn’t bought us any panties or bras so all five of us are wearing nothing underneath our dresses. We left the attic and sisters Alice and Nyx went to wake up the girls while sisters Lisa and Sandy went to wake up the boys. I went to the kitchen and began working on breakfast for everyone.

After breakfast was served all but two of the children went to school. I went up stairs to the safe and grabbed five gold coins before leaving the house and going to the bed store.

"How can I help you sister?" Asked the employee.

"I need to trade all those new beds you delivered for the children with bunk beds. We need fourty sets of bunk beds." I said.

"Well since the beds are used we can only give you one silver credit for them and the bunk beds cost three silver. So forty bunk beds is one hundred twenty silver minus fourty silver for returning the other beds. That will be eighty silver." He said.

"I also need another forty bed sets with pillows." I said.

"That is still one silver each." He said.

I went and picked forty sets, twenty for the boy’s floor and twenty for the girl’s floor. Then I went back to the employee.

"How much for the delivery?" I asked.

"Twenty-five silver." He said.

"When can you get it done?" I asked.

"We can get it started today but probably won’t be finished until tomorrow." He replied.

I paid one gold forty-five for everything and stored the bed sets in the storage ring Mister Red gave me. Then I went to another shop to look for dining tables.

"Welcome sister. How can I help you?" Asked a man at the counter.

"The orphanage is expanding and we need new dining tables with chairs." I said.

"How many do you need to sit?" He asked.

"Once the expansion is done we will need eighty seats for the children, nine seats for the sisters, and five seats for our new sponsor and his wives." I said.

"We have some long narrow tables that sit ten on each side. I suggest five of those." He said.

He showed me the tables. They were long and only three feet wide. It would be a tight fit in our dining room but we could fit them all with a few feet between each one.

"How much?" I asked.

"Well since they are for the orphanage I can give a discount. Fifty silver for the tables and fifty silver for the chairs." He said.

"And how much for delivery and removal of the table and chairs we currently have?" I asked.

"We can do it for twenty silver." He said.

I paid one gold twenty. That leaves me with two gold thirty five. I then left the shop and went to the Goddess’ temple to inform her of the ongoing expansion. I entered the temple and saw the priestess.

"Hello sister, is there a problem?’ She asked.

"No priestess. I am here on business." I said.

"Well then let’s go to my office." She said.

I followed her to her office and she offered me a seat in front of her desk. I sat down.

"So how is the orphanage doing?" She asked.

"Mister Red has decided to expand the orphanage’s capacity because he thinks we are too close to the current capacity. He wants a buffer of sorts in case something happens and we get a bunch of new children." I explained.

"That is fantastic. How much is he expanding?" She asked.

"He is doubling the current capacity. He just had me go to the store and trade the forty beds he bought for forty bunk beds." I said.

"That’s amazing." She sighed.

"He also had me go to another shop and order dining tables and chairs to accommodate that number." I said.

"Hmm. I’ve known you long enough to know there is something you are unhappy about." She said.

I looked around the office for a second before replying.

"It’s his first wife. He said he would oversee the operations of the orphanage and he ordered us to follow the orders of his first wife as long as her orders don’t contradict his." I mumbled.

"Ahh. And she has given an order you don’t like?" The priestess asked.

"It’s not exactly that. She has ordered us to throw out all the old clothes we had and to only wear clothes her husband has paid for." I said.

"What’s wrong with that? From what I heard he bought all of you seven brand new dresses and shoes. The one you are wearing is lovely." She said.

I looked her in the eye.

"He hasn’t bought us bras or panties." I said.

The priestess broke out in laughter for a full minute.

"Has he done anything to you or the other sisters?" She asked.

"How do you mean?" I replied.

"He bought new beds for you and the children. He bought new clothes for you and the children. He bought new toys and books for the children. He has paid to completely restore your entire house. What else has he done?" Asked the priestess.

"Well, he and his wives have moved into the orphanage so he doesn’t have to spend coin on the hotel while he is in the city. They bought a large bed and put it in the attic where the sisters sleep. He sleeps nude. And look at the nightgowns his first wife makes us wear to sleep." I said.

I took my nightgown from the ring and held it up in front of me.
