"You said your name was Eden?" A. said, standing in his chair.

The boy had decided it was a better idea to talk in his castle rather than on the street, which was understandable; after all, this was definitely not a talk that was to be heard by anyone. Also, because his marks had already been revealed, he had taken off his mantle, of course, with the Mask of the Fool on, just in case.

"That is correct, quite a nice name, huh? Short and easy."

The boy scratched his chin. "True." He sighed. "I guess I will introduce myself first... It is surprising that you don’t know who I am, but at the same time, I guess I have to get used to it, since this place isn’t my world anymore.

He smirked, leaning forward. "I am the youngest of the five princes, and more importantly, the leader of this... Kingdom." He chuckled. "But I don’t think I’m as interesting as you are."

’One of the five princes? I feel like I remember something about them, related to Voidpiercer... Is this guy the original creator of the blade, before it was corrupted by the Daemon Lord of the Abyss?’

If this was the case, then it was very interesting; he would have never thought that he looked like this, and while he knew he was the youngest out of his brothers, he would have never thought he would be his age.

But sometimes, things aren’t as you think they are, and this is one of those situations.

Aether didn’t smile; he just looked at A. "About me... I guess... It’s pretty obvious to say that I’m the Vessel of the Abyss, but if I say that makes both of us." He said, proudly showing his mark, like it meant nothing.

Like it wasn’t the same one that the First Vessel had worn and given meaning to.

Few people knew it, but in the past, it probably meant a lot more, since there wasn’t any power to keep it from the people, to keep the whole past and identity of the Abyss from the people.

"True..." A. said. "However," He lifted his arm in the air, showing it to him. "As you can see, I don’t have that mark, so if I have to ask... what are you, who are you truly, Fallen Eden?"

Aether sighed. "What’s your opinion of Readers?"

A’s. eyes widened for a second. "A Reader, that’s what you are, one of those people from the future, interesting... It’s quite interesting. I would also like to hold this thing you guys call the Codex."

Aether stopped for a second, unsure what he meant. After all, in Frozen Crown, if he remembered correctly, Avrie had the Codex; everyone did. It was something that existed; relics and everything worked, but A. had no idea what it was.

"You mean you don’t have it? What Class are you? What Rank are you?"

A. shook his head. "No idea. In my time, we don’t do things like that."

’Huh...’ Aether looked confused, his cheek raised as a confused frown rested on his face. ’But how does that make sense? Readers didn’t exist, but awakened did, so then... how does that even work?’

Aether cleared his throat. "So then how do you even use your powers? How do you gain them? How do you get stronger?" A. held his hand in front of him, stopping him from continuing. "It’s obvious." He said, letting his hand fall. "The answer to all is feel. I can feel when I get stronger, and I can feel how to use my abilities; it’s like an instinct."

...

"You guys are different?" He said, surprised.

"A lot different." Aether quickly said.

A. chuckled. "Then we have quite the difference... one that I don’t really care about. There is only one thing I can think about, and that you haven’t given me answers to: that mark, how do you have it?"

Aether groaned; he really didn’t want to answer this question, since he really had no idea how to do it. After all, there was so much to explain, so much that for A. would just be nonsense, so he just didn’t have any idea what to do...

"I prefer not to say, since it involves a lot of stuff that might have an effect on you, even if I know this is the Wonderland and not your world. If you do somehow get back, with the information I know, I really don’t know what will happen."

It was a bit weird being on the other side, the one Voidpiercer was always on, where you knew a lot of things, yet were unsure if saying them was the right decision, because you know just how much of an impact it could have.

Speaking of his blade... he was probably going to have to have a talk with it. Very soon, after all, even if he knew he was probably not going to come back with a lot from it, even that little bit of information it could give him was amazing.

Well, that is, if it didn’t make things worse, since that was what speaking with Voidpiercer was like, he either got a tiny bit of information that was interesting and that helped him with something, or he learned something that fogged his mind even more and broke any train of logic inside his head.

Leaning back in his chair, A. spun around, smirking while looking at Aether. "Vessel of the Abyss from the future, holding the mark of the first, while also not wanting to tell me because it might change the timeline, very interesting, if I may say so myself.

I would be more than pleased to give you a room here in the castle; it’s completely empty either way, so it’s not like you will take any needed place; there is too much of it anyway." He was tired of seeing it so hollow, so there was no harm behind this.

Aether hesitated a bit before nodding. "That would be pleasing... however, you must know... I have quite the history of people dying near me; the same might happen to you."

The boy chuckled. "Never."
