Raising My Trash Ability into a Broken SSS+ Rank Skill
Chapter 855: The HomeInside his office, Gunter was looking through the documents of all the business the Yate family had done over the previous month, calculating the profits when he suddenly heard a wild roar along with a strange scream, as if some animal was being beaten.
Frowning, he quickly ran out of the office.
Since the whole planet had been cleared of the demons, there hadn’t been another attack.
Everyone on the planet was living such happy lives. No children were being kidnapped or turned into orphans.
No more endless slaughters of poor villagers—it was truly a peaceful time.
Even crime had become extremely rare.
So, Gunter couldn’t understand who could be causing such a disturbance as he rushed outside.
"UWAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"
The moment he stepped out, he saw a familiar bald guy sitting on top of a bull that was charging at full speed.
Tears were streaming down the man’s face as he desperately clung onto the bull.
"Shitless? He’s back?!" After a moment of shock, Gunter quickly came back to his senses.
"Bullo, wait!" Shouting, Gunter was about to run over and help Shitless, but Bullo suddenly came to a stop.
The pitiful guy on its back was thrown forward, landing face-first before skidding several metres.
Only then did he finally come to a stop right in front of Gunter.
"A- Are you okay?" Gunter quickly helped Shitless up. His face was a little red, but fortunately he wasn’t injured.
"Ugh... Yes, I’m fine. I’m used to it by now." Shitless grumbled while rubbing his forehead.
Thankfully, his body had become much stronger, or his skin would’ve peeled off. After all, the ground was hard.
"How come you’re back so quickly this time? Where are the others?" Gunter asked, unable to hide the excitement in his voice.
He had thought they would all be gone for several months, so their sudden return made him very happy.
Shitless suddenly thought of something, then looked at Gunter, his expression slowly turning sorrowful.
Then he silently shook his head.
"!!!"
Gunter’s heart skipped a beat.
He nearly stumbled backward, his eyes widening.
Panic struck him as he grabbed onto Shitless for support before asking again,
"W- What happened? They’re fine, right?! P- Please tell me they’re fine..." Gunter looked on the verge of breaking down.
How could he even imagine losing everyone all at once?
His son...
His daughters-in-law...
Even his grandchild.
This had to be a lie.
Seeing Gunter, who looked as though he had aged several years in an instant and lost all the strength in his body, Shitless suddenly felt guilty.
Clearing his throat, he hurriedly said,
"They’re all fine! I just came ahead, so I meant... I don’t know where they are."
’I went too far... ugh, I hope Pitiful One didn’t notice.’ Shitless prayed.
"..." Gunter’s lips stretched into a thin line as he looked at Shitless as if saying,
"Are you seriously making jokes like this?"
Gunter: (ಠ_ಠ)
Before Gunter had a chance to say anything further, he heard several footsteps along with the voices of multiple people.
"Art?!" Gunter turned around, and sure enough, it was them.
He quickly counted everyone.
Thankfully, no one was missing.
Even that thief friend was present.
He shot Shitless a glare, only to find him looking up at the stars in broad daylight while whistling.
"Art!"
Without hesitation, Gunter rushed forward and pulled Vritra into a hug, immensely relieved that they had all returned safely.
Especially after that little prank.
"We’re back." Vritra spoke with a faint smile.
Hearing the commotion, the now perfectly healthy Ava walked out of her room to see what had happened.
The moment she saw the group, she forgot everything else.
It was as though the world had stopped existing at that very moment.
Before her mind could even process it, her feet had already begun moving, rushing toward Vritra.
"My Art, you’re finally back. I missed you so much."
She hugged him as well, gently caressing his head.
Then she hugged each of her daughters-in-law one by one, overjoyed to see them all return safely.
"Are you all fine?" she asked before walking over to Yasmine.
"Yes, we’re all perfectly fine and finished our task." Vritra replied.
It felt really nice to return here.
This place had such a homely feeling, especially knowing these two people had been waiting for all of them.
"Yes, I am. Your son took such good care of me after all." Yasmine said with a beautiful smile.
"Let’s go inside and talk. I’ll have the cooks prepare food for all of us." Ava said, taking Yasmine’s hand as they walked into the palace.
Soon the group was seated inside a large hall.
Light snacks and drinks were served first while the main dishes were being prepared.
Gunter was equally excited to hear everything they had gone through.
Although he could never become a demi-god himself, he wanted to know everything about their adventures.
He was like a child, eagerly waiting to hear the entire story.
"This time you entered another game? What was it like?" Gunter asked.
"Dear, I’m sure that can wait. They must be hungry." Ava said, shaking her head at her husband.
"Haa... fine. Here, son, eat this." Gunter sighed.
His wife’s words were law after all.
So he picked up the snacks and began passing them around so everyone could finish eating sooner.
"It’s fine. The story this time isn’t that long. We finished rather quickly." Onest said while munching on a spicy chip.
"Yes, but what a mess it was. Onest even died." Shitless suddenly added.
Gunter and Ava both looked at Onest before slowly turning back toward Shitless.
The expressions on both of their faces looked exactly the same.
Gunter and Ava: (눈_눈)
"Did you develop some strange new fetish during this game? Why do you keep trying to declare everyone dead?" Gunter asked.
Before and now, Shitless had done it again.
"Er..." Shitless was at a loss for words.
Earlier it had been a joke.
This time, however, it was actually true.
"What happened earlier?" Onest asked.
They hadn’t been paying attention.
"Before I asked him about you all, and he—"
Gunter had just begun speaking when Shitless quickly cut him off, immediately seeking help from the only person with even higher authority.
"A- Aunty, Uncle keeps talking. He won’t let me eat." Shitless complained.
"Dear, I told you, the stories can wait. Whatever happened before, it’s fine." Ava said, seeing right through Shitless’s little scheme.
She wondered why her husband was acting so childishly.
There was no need to tell everyone something Shitless didn’t want revealed.
"..." Gunter fell silent.
Looking at the smug expression on Shitless’s face, he silently decided to take revenge later.
They continued eating and chatting.
Most of the conversation consisted of Vritra and the others asking about everything that had happened on the planet.
Thankfully, there hadn’t been any major problems so far.
It seemed the Divine Kage had completely disappeared from the planet.
Normally, gods couldn’t create organizations like that on a planet, but they had managed to do it discreetly by keeping everyone hidden.
"So although there have been a few minor thefts, nothing major has happened, and the thieves are caught quickly." Gunter said.
"That’s great."
"There haven’t been any signs of the demons, have there?" Yennefer asked.
She hated even hearing the word demon.
Though Vritra was naturally an exception.
Even if he really were a demon, she would never hate him.
"No. The demons truly seem to have disappeared. The land has been very peaceful." Gunter replied.
By then, various hot dishes had already been served before the group.
Finally, while eating kebabs and the other dishes, Vritra and the others began telling Gunter about their adventure.
Although it had been short, it was packed with twists and dangers.
In fact, it had been far more dangerous than the previous game.
Except for the Level 3 demi-gods, everyone else had been powerful enough to kill them all.
So it was truly shocking that they had actually won.
"Woah... Level 5 and Level 6?! Those demi-gods must have been incredibly powerful. Did you fight them too?" Gunter asked after hearing about the four games.
"Not directly, at least. There was no way we could defeat them in a direct fight." Fiona replied before dramatically explaining how they had killed the two Level 6 demi-gods.
She described everything that had happened, including the moment they had nearly been caught because of a tiny mistake.
Gunter imagined every scene so vividly that Vritra decided to make it even more realistic.
Using Misty Essence, he created an illusion that replayed various parts of the game directly from his memories.
Now even Ava became completely absorbed.
For her, however, it felt like watching a horror movie.
She was genuinely terrified.
Whenever Vritra or the others were placed in danger, her heart nearly jumped out of her chest.
Meanwhile, Gunter’s blood was boiling with excitement.
He almost wanted to jump into the illusion and play the game himself.
The food was finished, yet everyone remained seated, watching the ultra-realistic spectacle.
Vanessa, Maeve, and the others watched everything they had gone through themselves, but they no longer felt nearly as tense as before.
After several hours, the illusion finally disappeared.
"There is also a court case against the gods, though that will have to wait." Vritra said.
He had only shown everything up until the final calamity was killed.
"Against the gods?! Again?! Haa... I want to see it so badly." Gunter looked at his son with pleading eyes.
But Ava stopped him.
"They must all be tired. Let them rest for a while."
Hearing her, Gunter finally gave in and watched as everyone left after chatting a little longer.
The women weren’t particularly tired since they had gotten plenty of sleep and rest before leaving the game.
But what they wanted now was something entirely different.
They were all thirsty...
And every one of them looked at Vritra with hungry eyes.
