Alice Turner took a step back and raised her hand with the bag of snacks towards the peephole on the door. She knew Anthony was peering through the peephole to see her, and after confirming he saw clearly, she returned to her original position.

"I’m delivering snacks for you. If you don’t open the door, I’ll give them all to Grace Young." She knew the person inside was a snack lover.

As she expected, no sooner had she spoken than the door was opened from inside.

Anthony opened the door and snatched the bag of snacks from Alice’s hand, "Assistant Young is already asleep. It’s not a good idea to disturb her now."

He got out of the way of the doorway to make it easier for the person outside to enter.

Alice raised her hand to point at Anthony and then turned towards her room. After taking a step, she suddenly remembered something and turned back, "Don’t randomly take other people’s things again in the future. Remember to give some to Grace Young."

Once she finished instructing him, she turned around again and continued to walk to her room.

"Sis! Your former husband still loves you, are you really not going to reconsider him?" Anthony couldn’t hold back anymore and voiced his feelings to Alice’s departing back.

Hearing Anthony’s words, Alice instinctively stopped and turned to look at him, "There are things you don’t know; don’t have compassion lightly."

She noticed he sympathized with her former husband, which worried her. She didn’t want to tell him about the entanglements with her ex-husband five years ago, so she could only remind him not to pity the former husband.
