Neither Charlotte Shaw, who was making do in the living room, nor Benjamin Shaw, who had returned to his room, felt sleepy.

"Hello! Alice! Is something up?" Benjamin Shaw answered the call, his voice carrying a slight tremor from the excitement he felt inside.

On the other end, although Alice Turner wasn’t excited, she was somewhat nervous and uneasy. She wanted to control her emotions, but she couldn’t manage it.

"Yes! I have something to discuss with you. Are you free tonight?" She took a deep breath before speaking.

"I am, I’m free." Without a moment’s thought, Benjamin Shaw immediately said he was available. He definitely had time—even if something came up, he would cancel it.

Hearing that the man on the other end was available, Alice Turner immediately informed him of the time and place of their meeting, "Seven o’clock in the evening, I’ll be waiting for you at the café on New Hope Road."

The café was relatively quiet, and she thought it was a suitable place to talk.

"Alright! See you tonight."

Benjamin Shaw replied, wanting to say something more to Alice on the other end, but unsure of what to say.

While he was pondering what to say, the person on the other end hung up.

He pulled the phone away from his ear and stared at the screen that had gone dark for a while before getting out of bed to go to the bathroom.

After washing up and changing into clean clothes, Benjamin Shaw left the room with his phone in hand.

Hearing the commotion, Charlotte Shaw in the living room immediately got up and came over. Seeing that her younger brother looked much better than he did last night, her worries from the previous evening finally eased a bit.

"Let’s go out for breakfast together." She thought she could learn a few things from him while they ate.

"There’s an urgent matter at the office; I have to head over there right away." Benjamin Shaw knew Charlotte had waited all night, not just to share a meal. She was surely going to nag him about Alice Turner.

He didn’t want to say much; in this situation, he couldn’t say much. If he spoke too much, the three at home would start moving again.

Charlotte Shaw wasn’t clueless. Hearing Benjamin decline her breakfast invitation, she immediately realized he was trying to avoid her.

She definitely wouldn’t let him get away with that. She hadn’t waited all night just to be dodged by him.

"What could possibly be happening at the office this early? Don’t try to fool me." Charlotte Shaw grabbed Benjamin Shaw, pulling him along as they left the house together.

"Who’s fooling you? Are you that easily fooled?" Benjamin Shaw shook off Charlotte’s "claws" and strode towards the elevator.

Seeing this, Charlotte hurriedly chased after him, not forgetting to throw a threat at Benjamin’s back: "Since you’re insisting, then I’ll follow you to the office."
