RE: Perverted Sugar Daddy System

Chapter 457 - 457: Bending Reality

Coincidences could be quite bizarre.

I remember my first meeting with Lisa. Back then, I had just gotten the inheritance and, most importantly, just been brought back to the past.

At that time, I thought I knew what I was doing, but in truth, I was working off excitement and firing hormones. With lots of money and a lawyer, I didn't hesitate to become mischievous, my brain taking a backseat for my dick to lead.

How bizarre that weeks later, after encountering Lisa, I met her father, the man's life in my hands.

I hadn't planned to meet Lisa again, but this was a fruitful encounter. For my next plans, a hand from the New York governor would be a big boon.

Settling down in the plane, Lisa refused to sit beside me. She settled in a chair adjacent, making sure to keep me in her sights.

As the door of the plane closed and the captain's voice sounded through the speakers, Lisa peered out through the window.

The sky above us was clear, the sun still in charge, but kilometres away, just on the horizon, traces of dark clouds could be spotted.

After our conversation in the lounge, Lisa had gone silent, especially keeping to herself when she got on the plane.

As the jet's engines whirred, the turbines screaming as more power was fed into them, I closed my eyes, a wave of echo pulsing just before the plane began moving.

Confirming the absence of any visible threat, I relaxed in my seat. I listened as the plane ran on the tracks, gathering momentum each second, cutting through the wind to perform one of the greatest feats of mankind.

'Making the impossible, possible.'

I released the leash on my mind, letting my thoughts take me wherever they wished, and the next minute I was pondering the mindset of the Wright brothers.

To conceive the notion of flight, imagine and wonder, it was one thing, but then to push forward with it, trying despite failures.

'What incredible men!'

Despite the several failures, the Wright brothers tried again and again till finally, the world bowed. Reality bent to their will, a whole new set of code added to the laws of the planet.

From thoughts of flight, imagining the euphoria the brothers must have felt seeing their imaginations come to light, I began to wonder about the boundaries of the world.

With flight, humans could leave the ground and traverse through the air, crossing through the different layers of the atmosphere, break past the magnetopause.

After that, what next though?

Away from the Earth, for a curious mind, there is only one question:

"What is this?"

Massaged by the comfort of my seat, I delved into philosophical waters, the image of the mechanic being the last thought in my head, then finally came sleep.

Ahhhhhh!!

"How is he asleep at such a time?"

Turning to me, Nadia maintained a calm expression like she knew everything about me, but I could tell even she was unsettled by my silence in the calamity that had befallen them.

Not a real calamity per se, but looking out the windows of a plane and finding yourself in the midst of gigantic clouds, lightning striking fiercely, topped as one of the scariest things in the world.

Ignoring the two women who were tightly strapped in, checking on the other person in the craft, making sure they were okay, I opened my eyes and stared out the window.

The eyes of the two women immediately snapped to me, but I paid them no mind, looking at the flashes of blue outside.

"Why don't the pilots take us up?"

"That's what they're currently trying to do," Nadia quickly answered.

"Okay," I nodded, turning to her, then looked at Lisa.

The girl's face had turned white, and I could tell she wished she were anywhere else in the world but on the plane.

"Don't worry, it will be alright."

The two women were lost, but I could feel the plane rapidly climbing, accelerating as best as it could, bound for the clear skies above.

A few minutes passed and all finally became still.

Pushing aside the window blinds, the bright sun peeked into the cabin, and from in front, the air hostess came to check on us.

"How much longer till we reach our destination?"

"I'll ask the pilot, sir," the hostess answered.

While the lady departed, I turned to the blonde, my gaze drawing her attention.

"What's the rush to Los Angeles?"

"Business." Lisa's expression slightly stiffened.

"What type?"

"Family stuff."

"I know your father. No way he'll risk you on some unknown plane and bad weather for common business."

"What are you implying?" Lisa focused on me. Her expression was tight, the woman fully showing her displeasure at my questioning.

"Nothing. Just if you need any help or find yourself in trouble, you can call me. I have some means."

It took some seconds for Lisa to relax her face after I finished talking, then she spoke.

"Thanks for the offer, but you don't need to worry, I'm in no trouble."

Nodding at the girl, I looked back in front, glancing at Nadia who was deeply entrenched in whatever she was doing on her laptop.

"4 hours, sir."

The hostess quickly returned with my answer, and I turned back to my thoughts till Lisa called my attention.

Hearing my name from the female's mouth surprised me, and when I looked at her, she had her face scrunched with curiosity, looking at my face as if studying it.

"If you don't mind me asking... are you really a billionaire?"

"Yes, I am."

At my reply, Lisa glanced at Nadia, who was busy with her work. She looked for a reaction but found none and eventually turned back to me, her eyes still suspicious.

"The name isn't popular. I'm the first and only billionaire of my family."

"How did you make so much wealth?"

"Trading."

"Just that?"

"I'm also the owner of an oil company and have shares in a major car company."
