Rebate King: Every Beauty I Spoil Makes Me a Billionaire
Chapter 405: Three MindsSacha’s eyes widened, then a grin slowly spread across her face as she said softly, "I won."
Stan leaned back and Sacha suddenly threw both hands into the air.
"Yes!"
She laughed, looking first at Camilla and then at Stan.
"You two weren’t able to beat me this round after all!"
She looked particularly pleased with herself, "Finally I’ve won!"
Stan simply smiled. He said nothing. Inside, however, he felt a quiet satisfaction.
’I did it. Sis won.’
And that was all he had wanted. He didn’t care that he had technically played a weaker game. He didn’t care that his own hand had been deliberately kept in an awkward position.
Seeing his sister’s genuine happiness was worth it. Sacha was still celebrating when Stan noticed that Camilla hadn’t moved.
Her crimson eyes were fixed directly on him. Not angry or accusing. Just intensely observant.
Stan’s smile faded slightly. He already knew what that look meant. She had felt it. She just hadn’t figured it out.
Camilla finally spoke. "You played strangely this round."
Stan raised an eyebrow. "Did I?"
"Yes you did."
Sacha looked between them. "What do you mean?"
Camilla didn’t answer immediately. Her gaze remained fixed on Stan as she said softly to him, "I haven’t determined it yet."
Stan smiled casually, "Then I guess you’ll have to keep playing."
Camilla’s eyes narrowed slightly, "Perhaps."
Sacha looked between them again, "Wait, what are you two talking about?"
"Nothing," Stan answered.
Camilla gave him a brief glance, "Nothing yet."
Stan’s expression twitched.
Sacha stared at them, "Why does that sound ominous?"
Neither answered. Sacha eventually shrugged and gathered her cards, still wearing the satisfied smile of someone who had just reclaimed her dignity.
Stan looked at her. ’One win is enough for you, Sis.’
His gaze shifted toward Camilla. She was still watching him.
’I’ll try to win next time.’
A faint smile appeared on his lips. And I definitely won’t underestimate her again. For the moment, however, he was content.
The awkwardness that had filled the apartment earlier was almost completely gone.
Sacha no longer seemed particularly concerned about Camilla being a mysterious stranger.
Camilla, meanwhile, had apparently found herself a new source of entertainment.
And Stan had a feeling that Uno was about to become far more competitive than he had ever imagined.
Sacha suddenly slapped the deck against the table. "Again."
Stan looked at her.
"Again?"
"Of course."
She pointed at Camilla. "I can’t let her have two wins."
Camilla calmly gathered her cards. "I agree."
Sacha blinked. "You agree?"
"Yes."
Camilla’s faint smile returned, "I want another game."
Stan looked at the two women. Then at the cards and then he sighed inwardly. ’This is going to get complicated.’
Sacha gathered the scattered cards and began shuffling, the satisfaction of her previous victory still lingering on her face.
She glanced at Stan with a smug little smile.
"Don’t think too much brother, it’s useless."
Stan raised an eyebrow. "But you just won the last round..."
"Exactly."
She smiled wider. "That was proof that I can still beat you."
Stan chuckled. "So that’s what you’re taking from it?"
"What else am I supposed to take from it?"
"That you got lucky?"
Sacha’s smile immediately disappeared, "Lucky?"
Stan could already see the danger in her expression.
"I’m just saying—"
"Don’t."
She pointed a card at him, "I beat you. Fair and square."
Stan laughed. "Alright, alright. I won’t take that away from you."
Sacha nodded in satisfaction and continued shuffling.
"Good. Now prepare yourself, because I’m winning again."
Her eyes was filled with determination as she added... "I’ll definitely win this round..."
Stan chuckled. "So you’re already planning your next victory?"
"Of course. Did you think that one win was going to satisfy me?"
"I suppose I should have known better."
Sacha pointed a card at him teasingly. "You’d better take me seriously this time, little brother."
Stan’s lips curled into a faint smile. "I always take you seriously."
"Liar."
"What?"
"You’re smiling."
"So?"
"You only smile like that when you think you’ve already figured something out."
Stan laughed. "You’ve known me for too long."
"Exactly."
Across from them, Camilla quietly watched the exchange, crimson eyes moving between the siblings. Their familiarity was obvious. They could read small changes in each other’s expressions and tone almost instinctively, the result of years spent together.
Unlike the previous round, however, Camilla had no intention of allowing that familiarity to become an advantage she couldn’t overcome.
Her gaze settled briefly on Stan. ’This time, I will not underestimate him either.’
Stan caught the look. For a moment, their eyes met.
Neither said anything. Sacha looked between them and sighed.
"Why do I suddenly feel like I’m about to regret starting another round?"
Stan and Camilla answered almost simultaneously.
"You probably should."
Sacha’s eyes widened. "...You two are already annoying me."
Camilla watched the exchange quietly, crimson eyes moving between the siblings. She had already noticed how naturally they understood one another. Their years of playing together had given them an advantage that simply learning the rules could not provide.
Sacha finished shuffling and dealt the cards. Stan picked up his hand and studied it.
This time, there was no hidden objective, no secret plan and no intention of helping one player over another.
’I’m winning this one.’ His gaze shifted toward Camilla. ’And I’m not making the mistake of underestimating her again.’
Then he glanced at Sacha. ’Or Sis.’
With that, the game began. Unlike the previous rounds, Stan didn’t rely solely on his enhanced perception. He combined everything at his disposal. His memory, his heightened senses, his ability to recognize patterns, and the experience he had gained from the earlier games all worked together.
He tracked every card that appeared. He remembered the colors each woman seemed to favor.
He watched their expressions. Even the slightest hesitation before a card was played was enough to provide information.
Sacha noticed almost immediately. She narrowed her eyes. "Why are you staring at my face?"
Stan didn’t look away. "I’m playing Uno."
"That doesn’t answer my question."
Camilla calmly placed a card down. "He is analyzing you."
Sacha turned toward her. "You’re helping him?"
Camilla shook her head. "No. I’m analyzing him."
Stan looked between the two women. "Wonderful. I’m surrounded."
Sacha snorted and the game continued.
Stan soon discovered that his sister had something he hadn’t fully accounted for.
She knew him, not just his playing style, but him. She knew the way he behaved when he had a strong hand. She knew the tiny changes in his expression when he was holding an action card. She even remembered certain habits from their childhood that he had long since stopped thinking about.
At one point, Stan hesitated for barely a fraction of a second before choosing a card.
Seeing the hesitation as a sign of weakness, Sacha smiled and immediately placed one down. "Got you."
Stan stared at her. "You remembered that?"
"You’ve been making that face since you were ten."
Camilla’s eyes moved between them. "You two have really known each other for a long time."
Sacha smiled. "Yes, Long enough to know when this idiot is pretending not to have a good card."
Stan sighed. "I’m beginning to regret teaching you Uno."
Camilla’s lips lifted slightly. "Your regret is understandable."
Stan glanced at her. "Whose side are you on?"
"My own."
Sacha laughed. "Finally, someone honest."
