Chapter 1731: Chapter 1711:

Why should his creations be eaten by others?

The old man was quite optimistic; after all, as long as there was food, he’d have something to eat. However, those people weren’t lucky enough to enter this small courtyard. They had to set up their stalls at the gate, giving Qhianqhian and He Wenyu a feeling like they were two people selling snacks, even though they weren’t charging a penny.

But everyone didn’t come empty-handed; they brought quite a lot of ingredients. The first to give something was Long Tu, carrying a wild boar in his hand, still warm, clearly freshly dead.

Di Jun also brought several fish, not as many as Long Tu, but it was the thought that counted.

Invited to the event, Luo Mier carried beautiful and exquisite pastries, looking incredibly appetizing.

Upon seeing these items, both Qhianqhian and He Wenyu were stunned; these looked so familiar... These were clearly creations of the Forget Worries Tea House.

Though they had different shapes, the taste was the same. Only the mold and colors differed, and the aroma was somewhat distinct, but the fillings were identical.

"I didn’t know what to bring, so I brought the pastries someone recently got for me. Hope you don’t mind," Luo Mier said softly, drawing everyone’s attention. After all, a beautiful face combined with a sweet voice—and her pastries were too eye-catching.

She then smiled softly at Qhianqhian, whispering, "Displaying one’s skill before an expert, especially in front of the young master of the Forget Worries Tea House." Only Qhianqhian and He Wenyu heard her.

It wasn’t surprising for Luo Mier to know about this matter, as she was Qhianqhian’s roommate, and Qhianqhian herself had delivered the invitation.

Luo Mier was delighted to accept the invitation and promptly mentioned she’d make sure to have a custom dress made soon.

Because of this, she learned about the backgrounds of these two and was amazed.

Whether she learned of their identity through other channels or not, her attitude was well appreciated by Qhianqhian and He Wenyu; it felt very different in a good way, didn’t it?

"How could I mind? I haven’t had these in a long time." Qhianqhian promptly took out a maple-leaf-shaped pastry, broke it in half, and handed one part to He Wenyu.

The two happily ate, exchanging smiles.

Both looked at Luo Mier, and Qhianqhian naturally went to her side, asking, "Do you eat spicy food?"

"If it’s delicious, I’ll eat anything," Luo Mier replied without hesitation.

"Shiqi, there’s a spot here. Let Mier come and sit." He Wenyu gestured to an empty spot originally meant for herself, but it didn’t matter since they’d already eaten plenty of it.

So whether they ate or not, it was the same.

Qhianqhian quickly selected some ingredients she thought were delicious and brought them to Luo Mier. The tables and chairs were generously lent by the old man, who somehow borrowed them. On the table were three small bowls and a black porcelain jar, containing three sauces and a black liquid.

The bowls contained chili oil, sesame paste, tomato sauce, and Old Vinegar.

Qhianqhian picked a bowl from the side to demonstrate to those unsure how to eat it.

She first added two spoons of sesame paste, then a spoon of chili oil, some Old Vinegar, and mixed them with chopsticks. She slid the food off a skewer into the bowl, ensuring it was evenly coated, and popped it into her mouth: "I eat it spicy, but you can try the tomato sauce, which is sweet and sour. I loved it in my childhood."

As she spoke, Qhianqhian pointed to the bowl containing the bright red tomato sauce.

Luo Mier hesitated, then nodded, took a bit of tomato sauce, and grabbed a scarce bunch of Wanzi skewers. Compared to the outside, there were slightly more Wanzi in the courtyard...

However, after tasting it, the old man took most of what he liked, so...

"Delicious!" Luo Mier exclaimed as her eyes widened, looking at them and He Wenyu: "Shiliu, Shiqi, knowing you is truly wonderful!"

The Goddess tried them; what were they waiting for?

Suddenly, the Yellow Class students disregarded any pretenses and started grabbing.

Qhianqhian watched as raw vegetables on one side were eaten so unceremoniously and couldn’t help but feel helpless.

Her classmates were astonishingly battle-ready! Their battle prowess was akin to... a locust army, perhaps?

Luckily, Qhianqhian had taken quite a lot for Luo Mier; otherwise, in just a few breaths... the ingredients before them would have been gone. Not to mention the ingredients, even the sauces were empty.

"Uh... I thought I prepared a lot..." He Wenyu looked dumbfounded, after all, they’d applied to the old man for ingredients...

And that chili oil so spicy—was it drunk? It vanished completely.

Not to mention the sesame and tomato sauces, but there was still quite a bit of Old Vinegar left.

Probably because of its stimulating taste.

Qhianqhian mused that this place definitely didn’t have people from west of a certain mountain.

Besides Luo Mier, nearly everyone was scrambling, but luckily Long Tu and Di Jun foresaw this and took everything with Qhianqhian before her explanation, so unlike others, they weren’t left with scraps...

After everyone ate, they dispersed.

Luo Mier intended to help them clean, but with Heaven Class about to start, she had to leave.

"Even as a girl, I’m mesmerized..." He Wenyu couldn’t help but praise Luo Mier’s departing figure: "In comparison, aren’t we like men?"

"If you want to be, go ahead, but don’t count me in," Qhianqhian rolled her eyes and casually washed the table: "Haven’t the teachers finished eating yet?"

Hearing this, He Wenyu walked into the courtyard, seeing three people savoring food while cooking? Moreover, the pot was bubbling with red oil? Why did this scene seem so familiar?

Qhianqhian, having cleaned up, came in and was stunned at the sight; indeed, food had no borders!

"Is this unlocking hot pot?" Qhianqhian hesitated, looking at He Wenyu. He Wenyu, equally puzzled, exchanged glances with Qhianqhian, both struggling to articulate what they saw...

Moreover, how was Fu Qing eating given he couldn’t see? Was the old man feeding him? It’s a marvel he could grasp the food.

"Is there any food left?" Seeing the two, the old man immediately asked joyfully.
