Chapter 1750: Chapter 1730:
Watching everyone’s departure, Luo Qianqian and He Wenyu finally sighed in relief. Now that they’ve left Freedom Town, they should be relatively safer, right? Although the Forget Worries Tea House currently only has a few confirmed remaining staff, there are no outsiders around. Of course, important rooms are all locked, and no one is allowed to enter casually.
"Suddenly feeling very lonely." As they passed by the Forget Worries Tea House, a crystal tear glimmered in He Wenyu’s eye, sliding down her cheek.
"Hmm, yes, indeed. But speaking of which, Brother Jiayou hasn’t returned yet, has he? Where exactly did he go? Could he have been taken away as someone’s gigolo again?" Luo Qianqian held back her tears and changed the topic.
They both knew that separation was for the better, but the sadness was inevitable since they wouldn’t see each other for a long time.
"No way? Then I feel Di Jun is more suitable for that, right? How come no one grabs him? He doesn’t have any fighting skills either." He Wenyu couldn’t help but say.
If there weren’t those guards protecting him outside, even inside he has a little dragon just six months old. No matter how you look at it, Di Jun seems like the target of bullying...
He has amazing talent, but due to a twist of fate, he was exiled from the best class to the worst one. Moreover, he’s good-looking, with a nice personality except for the occasional mischievous pranks.
"Catch him? Do you think someone guarded by a group of protectors doesn’t have his own self-defense skills? It’s just that he generally doesn’t use them." Luo Qianqian smirked. "But as for Brother Jiayou, he seems a bit lax in his cultivation?"
"After all, he’s been busy taking care of a pregnant woman, and then there’s the child issue. It’s not surprising if he doesn’t feel like cultivating right now, is it?"
"That being said, I have to remind you of something very important," Luo Qianqian said with a pout. "It’s Mo who’s taking care of the child, and I’m the one busy with everything involving the baby. He has nothing else to do; the most important thing he should be doing is becoming strong enough to protect the child and, when he’s strong enough, avenging the child’s mother."
"Oh right, you have to go back after the assessment, don’t you? Do you want me to steam some buns for you? Old Dry Mother dipping in buns is an excellent combination." He Wenyu was momentarily lost but looked at Luo Qianqian with some helplessness.
Though the parents have just left, there’s still someone who, even though they’re not far away, is also very difficult to meet.
Sitting passively on one’s own decision to confine oneself, who would you reason with about this?
After all, you can’t completely leave the child to a man with no experience, can you? Although Luo Qianqian doesn’t have much experience either, at least she’s female and would have that maternal instinct. She should be able to take care of the child, right?
"No need, Mo can cook, just needs ingredients." Luo Qianqian giggled, but the worry on her face couldn’t be wiped away. "By the way, did Uncle and Big Brother not notice Brother Jiayou’s issue? None of them said anything, not a word about it, right? Uncle Lin didn’t mention anything similar. They just forgot about Brother Jiayou, didn’t they?"
"Uncle Lin seemed to want to say something, but it seemed that Old Dry Mother stopped him. She didn’t let him speak, so what he wanted to say is unknown. Maybe it’s unrelated to Brother Jiayou but rather because they miss us?" He Wenyu recalled Lin Xu’s hesitant expression and couldn’t help but say.
Luo Qianqian’s face was full of doubt, unable to figure it out, she simply stopped thinking about it.
They walked to the entrance and saw the dutiful Long Tu and Di Jun. "Come on, let’s go back and prepare for the unknowns of tomorrow. As for the rest, there are a few joint managers here."
The joint managers were invited by the merchants from North Ocean to participate in the gathering, but unlike regular guests, they stayed to clean up and collect anything leftover, though knowing full well there’d be no leftovers.
This was the condition for the invitation; they could go in early to eat, but they had to stay back for cleanup.
But outside, they had a nice title, "joint managers."
"Uh, have Uncle and Auntie left?" Di Jun couldn’t help but ask with concern. "It seemed like Auntie was very sad, secretly wiping away tears several times."
"Nobody is going to consider you mute for keeping quiet," Luo Qianqian glared, affecting a fierce face and letting out a sound. Following the departure of those they were guarding, the area was now quite open, allowing people waiting at the entrance to pour in without hesitation.
And those who’d already eaten to their heart’s content left from the academy side, leaving behind the backs of those in lavish clothing, mesmerizing a group of people.
"Shiqi, I’m heading back," said Luo Mier as she reached the foot of the dormitory building, witnessing that most of the Yellow Class had returned, with a smile. "I wish your class does well tomorrow."
"Yeah, Mier, you have a good rest too," Luo Qianqian smiled and nodded, then watched her leave, sighing afterwards, "Suddenly realizing that beauty is something truly enviable. Mier is literally heaven’s favored child. Beauty, kindness, it seems as if all the positive traits are concentrated in her. If I were a man, none of you should think about competing with me, I would definitely marry Mier."
He Wenyu couldn’t help but laugh: "Too bad you’re a woman, otherwise you might just boast all the way to heaven. Why would Mier want to marry you?"
Di Jun also chuckled, shaking his head: "She is quite extraordinary."
But his voice was very light, only Long Tu beside him heard it, though he didn’t catch the words clearly.
"Alright, let’s continue to the next stop and eat another meal," suggested Di Jun, rallying everyone with a raised fist.
Luo Qianqian agreed enthusiastically: "All night it’s been nothing but fruit or electronics or cold stuff, I want something hot."
"And you still complain? You basically monopolized all that sushi, didn’t you?" He Wenyu was left speechless, initially worried about not getting enough to eat, but who knew the others wouldn’t like it much, while Luo Qianqian, on the other hand, was snatching them one after another, as if she hadn’t eaten in three days.
"It was only a third left when I started eating, okay?"
"And we ate the remaining part," Di Jun said innocently to He Wenyu: "We didn’t fancy those sweet things much, just had some of that, but it lacked meat for my liking."
"Why should the food cater to your preferences? Having food itself is good enough! Let’s have grilled vegetables later!" He Wenyu was exasperated, never having seen anyone like this before, someone who had food yet still raised so many opinions, becoming pickier like Luo Qianqian.
Di Jun’s face was innocent: "I do like it; I like anything, as long as it’s made by you." His face was full of sincerity.
Facing what sounded like a confession, Luo Qianqian burst into laughter, turning her head away to avoid looking at He Wenyu’s expression.
