Rebirth: Beasts Bound

Azrael groaned in frustration, and I pushed them back a bit, adjusted my clothes and was about to jump off the bed but Veyra held my wrist.

"Ignore it," he said and reached to kiss my lip, but my hands landed on his lip. "No, but it must be important," I replied. His eyes went dark and he pouted.

"It’s our time," Thyrian said, and this made me sigh.

"Another time guys," I replied and walked off the edge of the bed.

"I’m so going to kill whoever interrupted!" Azrael mumbled under his breath, and I felt the others nodded in agreement.

"No killing," I replied back and opened the door. I froze staring at the tribe Chief. What was she doing here now?

"To cause another trouble?" I asked her, and she sucked on her bottom lip. "I’m not here to cause trouble, I have a favour to ask!" She said, and my eyes dimmed.

"I don’t do favours for my enemies," I replied and closed the door shut, but she had placed her leg in between the door. I gritted my teeth.

"What do you want?" I asked, and she folded her hands under her boobs.

"Just hear me out!" She said, and I sighed, but Ryker moved to the door. "You sent your beast warriors to finish us off, how should we hear you out?" He said coldly, and her eyes lingered on him for a while. She looked away noticing how cold my gaze was getting.

"That’s why I’m here. If the tribe members notice their family were killed by you guys, they would rebel and ask you guys to be kicked out, and Ryker will be punished," she said, and I inhaled sharply.

"I can handle myself," Ryker said and reached for the knob, but I held his wrist.

"Let’s hear her out," I mumbled. He stopped for a second, and Azrael moved to the door. In sighting his shirtless body, she understood what was happening. Something flashed in her eyes and she turned to stare at the ground and inhaled.

"So what do you intend we do? You sent them to attack us. It was either we die or they die," I said, and she lifted her gaze.

"I would just lie you killed them for no reason. You do know that will get you guys in serious problems! If you don’t help" She said. Her tone was so plain yet it was fully a threat. The edge of my lip twitched, and Ryker stepped forwards, but I held his wrist.

"Are you threatening us? My ex master would never do this. This just proves you aren’t her," he said, and I saw the way her eyes shifted with sadness and something else but she masked it away instantly.

"I can help you guys and lie that they were killed by some demon," she said, and this made me raise a brow.

"What are the odds. How can we trust you?" Azrael asked, and she almost rolled her eyes, but his gaze made her stop on her track.

She cleared her throat and reached out for a map in her waist.

"I need you guys to fix the dam issues. We have been having shortage of water lately, and are going through a drought. We have sent countless messages to the Palace, but seems like the empress is ignoring us," she said, and I took the map.

"The empress isn’t that way, she listened to every complaint and take care of it. She’s good," I said, but the tribe Chief scoffed at my words.

"Well she didn’t send anyone to help us for a while. So she’s no good to me," she said. I didn’t add another word, but I did feel suspicious.

"You could just visit her yourself and lay the complaint," I retorted, and she folded her arms under her boobs.

"Do you think I haven’t tried that? If you do this, I will make sure Ryker gets acknowledged by the tribe members and doesn’t get prosecuted unjustly," she said, and my eyes dimmed.

"I don’t trust her," Veyra said, and I turned to him.

"It’s okay if you don’t. But I advise you do," she paused, gazed at us. "Are you doing it or not?"

"Why didn’t you go to check it out?" I asked, and her lips parted. "I did. Couldn’t break whatever barrier that is there. It wouldn’t let us in. My people will die if thirst, I can’t let that happen. So you have to help us. In exchange you know the good things that will happen to you guys! Plus you can have a proper vacation," she added, and I sighed.

"It’s tempting," I whispered.

"Don’t do it," Ryker said and turned to me. "It’s just leave. I don’t care about what they think of me."

"We can’t be selfish Ryker, what about the cubs, the innocent souls, they would die of thirst. We have to do something! We can’t just leave!" I replied to him.

I felt my beast wound tense at my words. They must be thinking of how I changed for the better, but I knew they would also be questioning what the tribe chief had said that I was a traveler. It’s weird they didn’t even ask me about that! Do they already know I’m not the original villainess.

"Okay," Ryker paused. "We can’t let the innocent die. You did say that, and if it would make you happy I would follow," he said. I got relieved hearing his words, but the tribe Chief, her gaze lingered on Ryker for a second. She bit her lower lip and walked off.

"Good luck," she said, and I rolled the map open. She had marked a particular spot with red marked, It must be where the water flow is responsible for.

"We should leave today!" And they nodded.

"Should we pack anything else?" Thyrian asked, and they exchanged looks.

"We don’t need t-"

"Yes," they all said in unison, and I froze. I didn’t plan on staying there for so long, so hearing their words, I wondered what they wanted to pack.

"Pack chocolate, and bottle waters," Azrael said, and I froze.

"No safety kit?" I asked, and he stared at me for some seconds, before his lips finally parted.

"You will need food, and water to stay hydrated," he paused and turned to the others. "Also pack her lotion and a neat battle gown and a night gown," he added.

"Wait, are you guys packing any stuffs for yourselves?" I asked. They all stopped on their track.

"Your safety comes first. Don’t worry about us!" Veyra said, and Thyrian appeared right in front of me, he gently pinched my cheeks.

"I will get the chocolate, you guys should pack!" He retracted his hand, reached for the door when I held his wrist. "Don’t get bullied!" I said, and he nodded.

"I wouldn’t, even if I do, you will come running," he said, and this made a smile curl to my lips. He walked out and shut the door.

"I should help you," I said, rushing to Veyra’s. He was putting a gown into the bag, but he grabbed my hands.

"Raven, you need to rest," he said and gently patted my hair. I blinked my lashes.

"Aren’t you guys letting me become lazy?" I snapped, they all stopped and gazed at me.

"Lazy Raven sounds nice," Veyra replied, and my lips dropped open. I turned to Ryker and he beamed at me.

"Don’t stress, you are fragile enough!" He said, and I couldn’t help but scoff, running my hands through my hair.

"Azrael, say something!" I asked. He stopped on his actions and his eyes went distant for a close. I felt he would say I should work instead he walked towards me, held my shoulders and gently pushed me to a chair.

"Stay here," he said and gently ruffled my hair, I just stared at him with a blank look.

"I will become fat like this. Very chubby. You guys wouldn’t even want to gaze at me," I snapped, pointing my fingers at them, and Ryker chuckled.

"Chubby cheeks, I like that. I would squish them all day," he complimented.

"If you get fatter that’s nice, you will be cuter and I will get to rub your tummy," Veyra said, and Azrael stopped. He gazed at me from head to toe.

"Your ass will get bigger, I don’t mind."

What the fuck! My ass would get bigger? I couldn’t help but open my lips to yell at them, but nothing came out from my lips. My cheeks turned red.

I could only sit there in defeat, muttering under my breath. When they stopped packing, Thyrian walked in, he had a box of chocolate in his hands.

He immediately walked towards me and picked out three pieces of the chocolate from the carton. He gently began to unwrap them. The others just sat down watching, he placed it into my mouth, I took it and chewed. My angry eyes brightened instantly.

"This tastes good," I mumbled, and he placed the others into my mouth.

"You guys have to try this?" I said and immediately took the chocolate unwrapping.

"Come here guys! Let me feed it to you!"
