Chapter 1155: Chapter 1155: Major Problems
Benjamin Walton now holds the majority of shares in Wilson Corporation, but those directors are not to be underestimated.
"President Walton, the company’s troubles started when you took over. Don’t you think you owe us an explanation?"
"That’s right. The stock price has dropped beyond recognition. Do you know how much of our assets have evaporated during this time?"
"I’m about to retire, and I’m almost losing my life savings. President Walton, you need to account for this!"
Benjamin Walton laughed in frustration: "Do you think I enjoy this?"
"President Walton, whether you like it or not, you can’t deny that problems began when you took over the company."
This has to do with their wallets; no director would relent.
"President Walton, if you’ve offended someone, just talk to them and make peace. Our company might still be saved," advised a director. "When we lose, you lose too. You don’t want to end up bankrupt, do you?"
"That’s right. President Walton, you spent quite a bit buying those shares, didn’t you? Are you sure Walton Family’s company funds are really fine?"
The director’s words instantly darkened Benjamin Walton’s expression.
How could there be no problem?
The problem is huge!
He was counting on Wilson Corporation to pull his company along so that Walton Family’s company could make money, too, thereby plugging the hole from buying the shares initially.
Now, not only hasn’t he earned a penny, but he’s also lost a lot. Add to that, the operational expenses of the company, and now there’s no new business... there’s hardly any money left on the books.
It won’t be long before they can’t even pay the employees.
"What’s the use of saying all this here? Find a solution now!" Benjamin Walton said through clenched teeth, his face grim. Does he not feel the urgency?
He’s bet his entire fortune on Wilson Corporation.
If Wilson Corporation goes under, Walton Family’s company will also suffer.
"Why not see if anyone wants to invest in the company?" A director proposed, though even his voice lacked confidence.
Benjamin Walton laughed in exasperation at his words, staring at that director and asking, "Even if you try to sell the shares now, no one would buy them. Who would invest?"
"President Walton, maybe there’s one person who might," said the director. This was their last hope.
The director didn’t mention the person’s name, but everyone there knew who it was.
"Right now, it’s just the stock price falling; the company hasn’t reached bankruptcy!" Benjamin Walton stubbornly said, "Stop this nonsense. Spend your time figuring out how to develop the company’s business!"
"Alright, everyone, go think of solutions." With these words, Benjamin Walton swiftly left.
Staying in that room any longer made him feel like he would suffocate.
Those directors are a joke, expecting him to seek out Sophie Wilson.
With someone like her, does she have that kind of power?
Ridiculous!
However, the company’s issues do need resolving.
The thought of the company’s troubles gave Benjamin Walton a massive headache.
Benjamin Walton slammed the door and left, but the directors had no way out.
The company was fine, but once Benjamin Walton took over, it became like this.
Sure, a stock price drop doesn’t mean the company will go bankrupt, but if there’s no business, bankruptcy is inevitable!
Right now, their company has zero business. Every company sees Wilson Corporation like a plague; who would collaborate with them?
