Chapter 1163: Chapter 1163: Don’t Say It

"He’s used to it," Charles Seymour said indifferently.

"Such a nuisance," Sophie Wilson cursed, then pinched Charles Seymour’s hand, coaxing him, "Let’s not bother with him."

"Hmm." Of course, Charles Seymour wouldn’t take Ethan Seymour seriously; nothing Ethan says would affect him.

Still, he hadn’t expected Mason Wilson to stand up for him like that.

Everyone knows Mason Wilson has always been smooth and mild-mannered in business circles, almost never getting into arguments.

That shout of ’Dad’ earlier was not only to provoke Ethan Seymour but more from the heart.

Clarissa Taylor sat there keeping Sophie company for a while, then noticed her daughter was completely at ease, so she got up to greet their business partners with Mason Wilson.

"My mom has noticed that someone doesn’t have good intentions toward you," Sophie Wilson teased Charles Seymour with a wink.

Charles Seymour shook his head helplessly: "Besides you, men and women mean nothing to me."

"I know," Sophie Wilson trusted Charles Seymour enormously and wouldn’t doubt the feelings between them, "But my mom just wants some people to know that we’re truly family, and not to entertain ideas they shouldn’t."

Charles Seymour nodded. He liked those three words ’we’re family’ from Sophie’s mouth; they sounded so cozy.

"I’ll go check on Uncle," Charles Seymour said.

Now that Wilson Corporation has returned to Mason Wilson’s hands, outsiders aren’t aware yet. But there are always ignorant people out there, and he worries someone might upset Mason Wilson.

"Okay," Sophie Wilson nodded. Seeing Charles getting along so well with her dad made her genuinely happy; why would she disagree?

Sophie Wilson lowered her head and took a couple of bites. The faint scent of perfume wafted nearby, making her grin; some people are truly hasty.

"Miss Wilson, may I sit?" Chloe White approached, asking politely.

"Suit yourself." Of course, Sophie Wilson wouldn’t refuse; regardless, Chloe White was bound to come over sooner or later.

"Miss Wilson, I’m not sure if I should say this," Chloe White spoke tentatively, "But you might not like it if I do."

Sophie Wilson chuckled: "Then don’t say it."

Chloe White was about to speak, but was completely blocked by Sophie’s words, making her face flush.

Sophie Wilson looked at the embarrassed Chloe White, speared a piece of fried fish, and happily popped it into her mouth. Yum, delicious.

"Miss Wilson really loves to joke." Chloe White covered her mouth with a smile, rescuing herself from the earlier embarrassment, "I just saw..."

"Miss White." Sophie Wilson interrupted Chloe White, asking curiously, "You know I might be upset hearing it, so why are you still insisting on saying it?"

"That’s very rude."

Sophie Wilson spoke loud enough for everyone nearby to hear.

One was the main character of the banquet, the other was Charles Seymour’s fiancée; the commotion between these two naturally drew a lot of attention.

"Miss Wilson, that’s not what I meant, you misunderstood," Chloe White hurriedly explained. She hadn’t expected Sophie Wilson to suddenly shout like that.

"Then what have I misunderstood? You said what you’re going to say would upset me, I said I don’t want to hear it, so why do you still insist on saying it?" Sophie Wilson questioned.
