"Yueyue! Can't you hurry up?!" Lei Lei was like an ant on a hot griddle, pacing back and forth and constantly glancing at Bai Yue, who was doing her hair in front of the vanity.

Inside a spacious classroom, the normally neat rows of chairs had been rearranged into a large circle, leaving an open space in the middle.

The girl, holding a gift, was too shy to look at the boys across the room. She and her roommate quickly found a random spot and sat down.

Bai Yue and Lei Lei arrived at the front entrance to the classroom, which was where their class was supposed to enter.

The class president was already wearing a red hat and a white beard, with a red padded jacket draped over his shoulders.

Seeing his getup, Bai Yue covered her mouth to hide a laugh. "Class President! What's with the costume?"

The class president chuckled. "It's to create a festive atmosphere! Here, this is for you!"

He handed Bai Yue a wrapped box, then turned, fished an identical one out of a larger carton, and gave it to Lei Lei.

"Hurry inside! Almost everyone is here!"

Hearing this, Lei Lei eagerly pulled Bai Yue inside with her.

"Whoa, whoa! Old Gong! Check it out! Beauties!" one of the guys exclaimed a little too loudly, causing the students around him to erupt in laughter.

The guy they called Old Gong looked over, his gaze landing on the meticulously dressed Lei Lei and the makeup-free yet still stunning Bai Yue.

He suddenly felt as if he'd been struck by Cupid's arrow. Gong Wei was sure he had fallen in love at first sight with the girl without makeup.

'She has to be the prettiest girl in their class! I wonder if she has a boyfriend. I've got to get her WeChat later!'

Of course, Gong Wei wasn't the only one with that idea.

As seven-thirty approached, the room was nearly full. Yang Lili and her friend arrived late, so they ended up sitting in the front row.

The large classroom, now crammed with nearly a hundred people all bundled up in thick winter clothes, suddenly felt rather stuffy and crowded.

Lei Lei complained to Bai Yue, "How is there not a single guy here I like? Look at that one with the side-swept bangs, he just keeps flipping them back and forth! He really thinks he's all that!"

Bai Yue struggled to keep a straight face. She ducked her head, hiding behind another classmate, before she and Lei Lei finally broke down into helpless laughter.

"Hahaha~" Lei Lei laughed until she was breathless. It took her a moment to recover. "He reminds me of Huang Bo~ Hahahaha~"
