He still vividly remembered what Xue Rui had told him.

'Chatting with two people at once is way too much trouble,' Xue Rui mused. 'It's so easy to get the conversations mixed up. If only the three of us could just start a group chat.'

Of course, if he started a group chat now, the little miss would surely leave it immediately.

All in all, it was best to dismiss that idea for now.

Just then, his phone vibrated. The little lass had sent a reply: "Waiting for you to come home for dinner."

"When's the military training? Do we need to prepare anything?"

"Any other communications engineering majors? We've made a class group. If you know your class number, join up!"

Just then, a particularly eye-catching message appeared: "What do I do if my girlfriend likes to bite me when we kiss?"

"Are you just trying to show off?"

"What to do? Bite her back, obviously."

A flurry of replies chimed in.

Xue Rui replied, "Get a new girlfriend. Find an older one, someone whose teeth have all fallen out. She definitely won't bite."

Xue Rui's comment made the chat explode. These kids, fresh out of high school, had never seen such a savage remark. They couldn't help but picture the scene he described, and a wave of goosebumps washed over them.

The male student, who had only been pretending to ask a question as a way to show off, became flustered and started spewing insults in the chat.

Xue Rui calmly replied, "Hey man, you're the one who asked for advice. I just gave you a simple answer. Why are you getting so mad?"

"Yeah, seriously. His answer wasn't wrong."

Just as he finished teasing the innocent college students, the high-speed train pulled into Hedong.

'What a fulfilling day,' Xue Rui thought to himself. 'Now to head back, find my little lass, have some dinner, take a shower, and sleep. The perfect end to a great day.'

Of course, he put on a pair of sunglasses as he exited the station, just in case an acquaintance spotted him and realized he wasn't at the university.

Just as he was about to hail a cab, someone suddenly wrapped their arms around him from behind.

Feeling the soft embrace from behind, Xue Rui knew who it was without needing to turn around. He said, "It's so hot out. What are you doing running around like this?"

He heard Lin Ruoxi's sweet, gentle voice by his ear, "I wanted to come pick you up."
